Archana Puran Singh recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, reflecting on her memorable encounters with Bollywood icon Rekha.

The veteran actress made a special appearance on the show, and Archana shared a collection of photos from the episode, capturing the duo smiling and posing together. Rekha looked elegant in a cream and red saree, while Archana wore a shimmery black top paired with a grey blazer and matching pants. The pair looked close and affectionate in the pictures, with Archana also posting a solo shot of herself.

In her Instagram caption, Archana fondly recalled their earlier interactions, writing, “When I saw Rekhaji’s Sawan Bhadon, I was just a kid from a small town with little hope of ever meeting her, let alone working with her!”

She described a memorable moment when Rekha invited her to her makeup room during the filming of Ladai (1989), offering advice on makeup, including how to apply fake eyelashes, a trend Rekha is often credited with starting in Bollywood.

Archana went on to describe a light-hearted conversation they had at Filmcity, where Rekha teased her about a mysterious “he.” “I asked Rekhaji who this ‘he’ was, and she countered with a playful, ‘You don’t know who HE is?’” Archana wrote, recalling Rekha’s irrepressible charm and warm nature.

“She is a living legend,” Archana added, expressing how special it has been to meet Rekha over the years.

Hrithik Roshan’s beloved film, Koi Mil Gaya, has reached its 20th-anniversary milestone, and to celebrate this special occasion, the film is all set for a re-release in India on August 4.

PVR Inox and director Rakesh Roshan are teaming up to re-release Koi Mil Gaya in 30 cities across India, aiming to relive the nostalgia of the film and introduce it to a new generation of audiences.

Rakesh Roshan expressed his excitement about the plan, stating, “The idea is to bring back the memories of the film and re-release it in PVR Inox cinemas. We hope the re-release becomes a family outing, with parents taking their kids to the theatres to introduce them to Jaadoo, the friendly alien, while the parents themselves reminisce the memories of watching the film 20 years ago.”

Reflecting on the film’s journey, Rakesh Roshan emphasized that this film was made as a children’s film, meant to be enjoyed by kids and their families. He acknowledged taking a risk with the sci-fi genre and introducing an alien character, but the overwhelming audience response served as the most rewarding experience for him as a filmmaker.

Koi Mil Gaya, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Rekha, Johnny Lever, Prem Chopra, Rajat Bedi, and others, revolves around the heartwarming story of Rohit, a mentally disabled boy who befriends an endearing alien.

At last night’s Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival in Mumbai, celebrities walked the red carpet. Anupam Kher, Varun Dhawan, Tejasswi Prakash, Dulquer Salmaan, Shriya Saran, and Rishab Shetty were among the numerous celebrities who attended the event. Veteran actress Rekha and Alia Bhatt also went to the awards show and talked openly on the red carpet. The night was won by the two Bollywood queens thanks to their stunning sarees and remarkable elegance.

At the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, Alia Bhatt and Rekha took home the night’s award. On Monday, the two of them attended the festival. Rekha looked as elegant as ever in her signature beige and golden silk saree, while Alia chose a saree with white net embroidery. On the red carpet, the two women shared candid moments and posed for the photographers.

A gold patti border, intricate floral thread embroidery, and sequin work adorn Alia’s ivory saree. The pallu fell from her shoulder as she draped the saree in a traditional manner. The ensemble was completed by a matching blouse with a cropped length, plunging neckline, half sleeves with sheer panels, and thread embroidery.

Last but not least, Alia styled the six yards with only a diamond ring and matching, sleek earrings. The glam picks were completed by center-parted open tresses, a delicate black bindi, a nude pink lip shade, subtle eye shadow, light mascara on the lashes, blushed, glowing skin, and kohl-lined eyes.

In contrast, Rekha wore a beige silk saree with a floral pattern and a wide golden patti border, and she looked as glamorous as ever. The veteran star chose a gold blouse with a round neck to complement her signature six yards in traditional fashion. Rekha ultimately selected gold jhumkis, matching bangles, a ring, a bold red lip color, sleek eyeliner, heavy mascara, gold eye shadow, and minimal glowing makeup to complete the look.

In the meantime, Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival for her performance as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. A special award was also presented to Rekha for her “Outstanding Contribution to the Film Industry.”

Rekha attended the special screening of Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh on Saturday along with a host of other famous people, including Mahima Chaudhary and Poonam Dhillon. On January 26, the movie starring Rajkumar Santoshi is slated for release.

Rekha, who frequently attends Bollywood events and parties, dressed in a white saree, large earrings, and a white bag for her most recent public appearance. Heavy makeup, such as bright red lipstick and sindoor (red vermilion) on her head, gave the performer her distinctive saree look. Fans of Rekha flocked to the comments section of the paparazzo Instagram account, which published her video from the Mumbai premiere of Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh.
