Javed Akhtar, Kangana Ranaut settle their long-running legal battle

Kangana Ranaut
  • Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar settled their long-running legal battle.
  • Both have agreed to withdraw their respective cases against each other.
  • It began in 2020 when Akhtar filed a defamation case against Ranaut.

Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar have officially settled their long-running legal battle, opting for an out-of-court resolution after five years. Both have agreed to withdraw their respective cases against each other.

Ranaut, now an elected member of parliament, shared the news on Instagram on Friday. “Today Javed Ji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through mediation. In the mediation, Javed Ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial,” she wrote alongside a picture of the two.

The dispute began in 2020 when Akhtar filed a defamation case against Ranaut over remarks she made in an interview following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Recalling a past meeting, she had said, “Once Javed Akhtar called me to his house and told me Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go… you will commit suicide. These were his words. He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house.”

Akhtar dismissed her claims in court, stating, “Whatever Kangana said in the interview is a lie and nothing but a lie.” Ranaut had also accused him of extortion and invading her privacy.

Alia Bhatt’s Exit Delays Shooting Of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Report

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt has reportedly withdrawn from Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic adaptation of Ramayana. According to reports, scheduling conflicts prevented Alia from participating in the project. She was under consideration for the role of Sita in the film, which also features her real-life partner Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, and there were discussions about Kannada star Yash portraying Ravana. The report indicates that the film’s production launch has also experienced a delay. A source disclosed to Pinkvilla that the production team is meticulously refining all aspects of the project. The source shared, “While Ranbir Kapoor is still committed to the role of Lord Ram, Alia Bhatt, who was in discussions for the project, is no longer associated with it. The actress was being considered for the part of Goddess Sita, but due to date conflicts, the collaboration couldn’t proceed.”

The source also affirmed that Yash remains involved in the project, counteracting earlier rumors of his departure. In July, Nitesh Tiwari was questioned about the cast of his film, to which he neither confirmed nor denied the participation of Ranbir, Alia, and Yash. He simply mentioned that the official announcement would be made “very soon.” Addressing potential offense arising from the film, Nitesh expressed, “My question is very simple. I am also a consumer of the content that I create and if I’m not going to offend myself than I’m very confident that I might not end up offending anybody else.” He made this statement in light of the controversy surrounding Om Raut’s recent adaptation of Ramayana, Adipurush.

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut also shared her reaction to the casting of Ranbir and Yash in the movie. On Instagram, she wrote, “Recently I am hearing news about another coming up Bolly Ramayana… Where a skinny white rat (so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience he is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry… known for womanising and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy (which no one watched or want to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama…”

She continued, “Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man a traditionalist also according to Valmiki ji description he looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanour and facial features… is offered to play Ravana…What kind of Kalyuga is this??” Kangana is working on her own film based on Ramayana, titled Sita: The Incarnation.

Chirag Paswan shares gratitude for no recent collaboration with Kangana Ranaut

Chirag Paswan

Chirag Paswan, formerly an actor and the son of the late politician Ram Vilas Paswan, once appeared in a movie alongside Kangana Ranaut before leaving the Bollywood industry to become a full-time politician. In a recent interview, he shared his thoughts, suggesting that if he were to work with Kangana now, she would criticize him daily for nepotism. Currently serving as a Member of Parliament from Bihar’s Jamui constituency, Chirag Paswan reflected on his 2011 film “Miley Naa Miley Hum” with Kangana. He expressed gratitude for having worked with her at that time, stating, “Thank God I worked with Kangana back then. She would have taken my class every day over nepotism had I done the film now.”

Discussing nepotism further, he remarked, “People decide one’s fate in both industries. Regardless of whether you are the offspring of a superstar, prime minister, or president, if people do not like you… being the child of a prominent figure might be your good fortune, but not necessarily a reflection of your capability.” Chirag mentioned that a brief stint in Bollywood provided him with clarity about his life’s direction. He realized that rehearsing, memorizing lines, and undergoing makeup were not suited for him. When questioned about his decision to leave the film industry, he clarified, “I didn’t leave Bollywood; it left me. I believe I was not meant for it. When you’re young, you develop a passion, and people in school and college encourage you, saying you look good and speak well, so you should give it a try.”

In response to an Indian publication post, filmmaker Aditya Kriplani commented humorously, “If I had a penny for each time someone said ‘to be very honest’….” Despite this, many of Chirag’s fans praised his appearance.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut remains consistently vocal against nepotism. On the day of the release of Karan Johar’s movie “Rocky Aur Rani” last month, she took to Instagram Stories, noting that there were no negative articles or tweets about her that day, humorously asking, “Why is it so quiet? Did a fire break out somewhere? Can someone find out what the nepo gang is busy with today?”

Kangana Ranaut Slams Sonam Over English-Speaking Remark

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut criticised Sonam Kapoor for disparaging her for being able to speak English well.

Kangana uploaded a story on Instagram where she dropped a video of Sonam’s previous Koffee With Karan interview. “If you have the power to give celebrities these aspects who would you give that to – the ability to speak English fluently?” Karan questioned the Zoya Factor actress during the rapid-fire round.

Sonam chose Kangana’s name without any hesitation.

After watching the clip, the Tanu Weds Manu actress experienced heartbreak. Thus, she poked fun at Anil Kapoor’s daughter. “What I learned from years of fights with film mafia is that no outsider will ever be mocked for not speaking English… also that show is officially closed forever, she wrote.

She further added, “Please don’t miss my comeback in the end. Even at 24 after being openly bullied, humiliated and mocked I showed grace sophistication articulation and humility which English speaking gossipy aunties with so called great upbringing can never.”

In her upcoming movie, Emergency, Kangana Ranaut is slated to play the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. According to sources the movie’s release date is November 24.

Javed Akhtar’s remarks in Pakistan are praised by Raj Thackeray

Javed Akhtar & Raj Thackeray
  • Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray held a rally, Padwa Melava in Mumbai on the occasion of Gudi Padwa.
  • While addressing the crowd, he praised lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar for his remarks on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks during an event in Pakistan.
  • The rally was held at Dadar’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park on Wednesday.

On Gudi Padwa, the chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Raj Thackeray, organized a rally in Mumbai called Padwa Melava. He thanked lyricist and author Javed Akhtar for his remarks about the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks while addressing the crowd at a rally in Pakistan on Wednesday. The rally was held at Dadar’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park. Raj Thackeray stated in his speech, “I want people like Javed Akhtar and many more.” I want Muslims from India to speak out against Pakistan and assert our power. That’s what Javed Akhtar does, and I want Muslims to act like him.

Other people, including Kangana Ranaut and Raj Thackeray, have praised Javed Akhtar for speaking his mind. Javed went to a festival in Lahore that honored the writer Faiz Ahmed Faiz. There, he was informed that Indians believe that all Pakistanis are terrorists. He responded sharply, stating that the 26/11 Mumbai terrorists continue to roam Pakistan freely.

“The attackers weren’t from Norway or Egypt,” he stated. If an Indian complains about this, you shouldn’t be offended because they are still present in your country. He also said that Pakistan has never hosted singer Lata Mangeshkar, despite the fact that India has hosted a number of Pakistani artists in the past.

Discussing it later, Javed reflected upon the responses from individuals to his remarks. He stated, “It became too big, it feels embarrassing, feel like I should not go (for such events)” during an ABP event. As if I had won the third world war, I said, “Yaha, to laga pata nahi third World War jeet ke aya hoon.” There are so many responses from the public and the media. I was humiliated, isa keh diya? We have to say as much, should we just shut up? “Itni baat to kehni padegi, chup rahein kya

When inquired as to whether he was terrified to express his genuine thoughts against the country in Lahore, at an occasion being held in a corridor loaded with Pakistani individuals, Javed said, “Is tarah ki baatein, jo dubious hain…jis mulk pe paida tint, jeete hain aur marenge waha karte rehte hain to dusre mulk me truly do commotion jana waha kya dar tha? Jab yaha nahi darte to waha kya darenge (I make such controversial remarks in the nation where I was born and will die; why would I be afraid in a nation I was only visiting for two days?). Why would I be afraid there if I’m not afraid here?

Kangana Ranaut’s father wanted her to be a doctor rather than Miss India

Kangana Ranaut
  • Kangana had revealed she wanted to become Miss India while growing up.
  • Her father dreamt of making her a doctor, which was shattered when Kangana started modelling while studying in Chandigarh.
  • She kept it from her parents for quite some time.

One of Bollywood’s most well-known faces is actress Kangana Ranaut, who carved out her own niche in the business from the ground up. However, it wasn’t an easy road for her to reach fame. Despite her parents’ wishes, she rose to prominence as an actor despite growing up in a small town.

Kangana said in an old interview with Simi Garewal that she wanted to be Miss India when she was younger. However, Kangana’s father’s ambition to have her become a doctor was dashed when she began modeling while attending school in Chandigarh. For quite some time, she kept it from her parents.

“Woh bachpan me humesha bola karti thi mai Miss India banungi,” Kangana Ranaut’s father said in a video clip from Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. They are toh hum log mazak karte. Waise ajeeb, in the past, that you have soch kar ke, sun ke, and kya banegi. We used to laugh when they (Kangana) talked about becoming Miss India as a child. Waise hum usko doctor banana chahate We had no idea what she would become in the future, so it used to feel strange. We desired that she become a doctor.)

“Every time some guest used to come (home), they used to ask me ‘so what do you want to be?'” Kangana added. Miss India was my old nickname. They used to laugh at me, as if I had said something strange. When I turned 14 or 15, I stopped. If I were to ask you, what would you like to be? I’d say physician. Simi continued by asking her, “Did it bother you that they didn’t encourage your dream?” in response to this. She responded, “No, it didn’t because I come from a very simple background…like you can see from my father…They are very nice, honest, and innocent people.” I realized that they are unable to assist me, not that they would not like to.
The last place Kangana was seen was in Udaipur, where she is likely celebrating her birthday. Her most recent appearance was in the film Dhakaad, which did poorly at the box office. She is currently anticipating the release of her upcoming film, Emergency. She likewise has Chandramukhi 2, Tejas, Manikarnika Returns: The Incarnation and Didda’s Legend: Sita is on the way.

Arjun Rampal reacts to Dhaakad’s tragedy

Arjun Rampal
  • Filmmaking is an art, definitely, but it’s also a business at the end of the day, and Arjun Rampal remembers that.
  • Dhaakad, co-starring Kangana Ranaut, was a big-budget film, and Rampal’s last release in cinemas.
  • Dhaakad was one of the first few films to come out post pandemic.

Arjun Rampal keeps in mind that while filmmaking is definitely an art, it is also a business at the end of the day. Additionally, despite an actor’s stellar performance, the majority of the time, box office talk takes precedence. Naturally, the discussion is summarized by the failure of a film.

Rampal’s final film, Dhaakad, starring Kangana Ranaut and spending a lot of money, was released in theaters. Additionally, it failed to live up to expectations. When you inquire about it, he responds, “It was an expensive film, so it does hurt when it doesn’t do well.” It did not, in my opinion, deserve to perform such numbers. At the time, there was skepticism among people. One of the first films to be released following the pandemic was Dhaakad. It’s possible that people were afraid to go to the theater.

However, he simultaneously mentions a film with which it clashed. We cannot even say that; Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 performed exceptionally well. It’s possible that we released the wrong movie. Accepting the film’s fate is all that is required to move on.

The truth is the truth. However, the film is there, I am proud of it, and I will continue to be proud of it. The 50-year-old, who will next be seen in the movie Crack, adds, “You are in a good space as long as you take that much away from a film.”

He says that movies with big budgets naturally have to do well at the box office, but he also thinks about the game of numbers. Naturally, a film with a budget of 250 crores places as much pressure on its performance as any other. Yet, happy driven films is what I watch. Spectacle cinema in general interests me. That is my option. We all needed it, and the industry needed those numbers, so I’m very happy for Pathaan. You can’t say that box office numbers don’t matter,” he says at the end.
