Kangana Ranaut: “When I first began out, I was like Madhubala in her younger years”

Kangana Ranaut shared a collage of her own and Madhubala’s pictures to express her desire to play Madhubala on screen.

Kangana Ranaut remarked that Madhubala’s younger self used to resemble her on the death anniversary of the venerable actor. To make her argument, she posted a collage of her own photos and Madhubala’s. She also gushed over images of herself from when she was first entering Bollywood in her younger years.
“As people want me to play film goddess Madhubala on screen, when I started out I was replica of Madhubala’s younger days, not sure about it anymore,” Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories on Thursday while posting a collage of Madhubala and her own photos.

My God this is from my first year in the film industry, she commented with a photo of herself alone wearing a black top and skirt.

One of the biggest stars in the 1940s, 1950s, and early 1960s cinema industry was Madhubala. One of the most well-known films produced in India stars her in the 1960 blockbuster Mughal-e-Azam with Dilip Kumar. Neel Kamal (1947), Amar (1954), Mahal (1949), Badal (1951), Tarana (1951), Mr. & Mrs. ’55 (1955), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Half Ticket (1962), Howrah Bridge and Kala Pani (both 1958), and Barsaat Ki Raat are a few of her other highly notable movies (1960).

In 2006, Kangana made her acting debut in Gangster. Her most recent appearance was in the action film Dhaakad, which was a box office failure. She is now studying classical dance in preparation for the Tamil movie Chandramukhi 2.

Kangana Ranaut recently finished filming Emergency, her debut feature as a filmmaker (after Manikarnika which she co-directed with Krish Jagarlamudi). She also produces the movie in which she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Other actors who appear in it include Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, and Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Also, she has Tejas under development, in which she plays an Air Force pilot. The release of her film Tiku Weds Sheru, which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is also scheduled for this year.

Rekha, Anupam Kher, Alia Bhatt, Rishab Shetty, and Varun Dhawan were among the many famous people that attended the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 on Monday night in Mumbai. The event also included Shreyas Talpade, Ronit Roy, and Mohit Chauhan. Online users posted a number of images and videos of the celebrities present at the event.

Anupam Kher gave Varun a hug as they crossed paths on the red carpet, as shown in a clip posted on Instagram by a paparazzi account. Varun smiled as a result of Anupam kissing his forehead. The pair then struck a group photo for the cameras. Anupam dressed for the occasion in a black shirt, black tie, grey blazer, slacks, and shoes. Varun was dressed in a black jacket, black leggings, and a T-shirt.

Actor Rishab Shetty was there at the occasion and posed for photos with the media. He chose to dress traditionally, donning a black shirt, veshti, and black shoes. There was also Dulquer Salmaan present. He chose an all-black ensemble, with a short kurta, a jacket, slacks, and shoes. Shriya Saran wore a blue outfit to the occasion. With a black kurta, white pajamas, and black shoes, Jim Sarbh graced the red carpet.

At the occasion, Alia Bhatt posed for photos alongside veteran star Rekha. Alia bowed and folded her hands in front of Rekha after accepting the Best Actress award, who gave her a blessing. The two then gave each other hugs. Rekha kissed Alia’s cheeks as they were on the red carpet, which made the star grin. Alia dressed for the occasion with a white saree and blouse. Rekha was spotted wearing jewelry and a cream saree.

Varun’s next appearance will be in social drama Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, starring with Janhvi Kapoor. In addition to this, he is preparing for his future web series, an Indian adaptation of Raj and DK’s Citadel.

Anupam Kher received the Most Versatile Actor of the Year award for the movie The Kashmir Files, which won the Best Film award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival on Monday. In addition to receiving the Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt also accepted the Best Actor award for Brahmastra on behalf of her husband, Ranbir Kapoor.

The Most Promising Actor award went to actor-director Rishab Shetty for his Kannada movie Kantara. For his role in Bhediya, Varun Dhawan also took home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor. Anupamaa, a television series starring Rupali Ganguly, took home the Television Series of The Year prize at the event.

Rekha, a seasoned actor, received recognition for her “Outstanding Contribution In The Film Business.” She wore a golden saree to the occasion and was spotted interacting with Alia, who was wearing a white saree. They kissed, hugged, and posed for photos with the paparazzi. In the meantime, Hariharan received recognition for his “Outstanding Contribution To The Music Business.”

Anupam Kher, an actor, recently responded to Prakash Raj’s remark that The Kashmir Files was “one of the nonsensical films.” Anupam played the major role in the Vivek Agnihotri-directed movie opposite Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumaar, among others. Regarding Prakash’s opinions about the movie, Anupam stated that some people are forced to live their lives through deceit.

The Kashmir Files, which was published last year, continues to stir up debates concerning its plot. It draws attention to the 1990s exodus of Hindus from Kashmir. Zee Studios is the producer, and Vivek and Saurabh M. Pandey wrote the script together.

Anupam Kher responded in an interview to Prakash’s recent criticism of the movie. He said, “Apni apni aukat ki baat karte hain log,” to Navbharat Times. Kuch log zindagi bhar sach bolte hain, kuch logon ko zindagi bhar jhooth bolna padta hai. Zindagi bhar sach bol ke zindagi jiyein hain is main un logon mein se hoon. Uski marzi hai, jhooth bol ke jeena hai. According to their status, people speak. While some people must lie their entire lives, others always tell the truth. I count myself among those who have always spoken the truth. (Those who choose to survive off of lying may do so.)

Prakash had previously called The Kashmir Files a “propaganda film.” He added during a gathering in Kerala, “One of the absurd movies is The Kashmir Files, but we know who made it. Shameless. A jury from abroad spat on them. They continue to be shameless. The filmmaker, the other person, is still asking, “Why am I not getting an Oscar?” He won’t even be awarded a Bhaskar.”

“The reason I’m telling you is that there is sensitive media out there. You can make a propaganda movie here. I’m aware that they spent close to 2000 crore, based on my sources, just to produce movies like this. But you can’t always trick people, he had said.

Several Indian movies were among the 301 movies that qualified for the 95th Academy Awards. Although it was originally chosen for the list, The Kashmir Files was passed over in favor of movies like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Kantara. Prior to that, during the closing ceremony of the 53rd International Film Festival of India, Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid made a comment regarding The Kashmir Files. He referred to it as “vulgar” and “propaganda,” which the production crew found offensive.

Anupam Kher posted a picture of himself and Alia Bhatt at the Mumbai reception for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani on Instagram on Monday. The seasoned actor posted a beautiful message beside their shot, in which the two smiled for the camera and Alia kept her hand on Anupam’s shoulder. When Alia was attending acting school, he recalls making fun of her for “being a born actor.” Some Instagram users who commented on his post featuring Alia claimed they were eager to watch Kangana Ranaut’s response to Anupam’s praise for Alia. Kangana has frequently made fun of or criticised Alia in public.

Anupam Kher’s caption read, “I love you, Alia Bhatt! At the wedding celebration for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, it was so nice to finally meet you. It was nice talking to you about the times you were in acting class and how I used to tease you about being a natural performer. Love the way you perform. In particular, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Always send prayers and love!” Anupam is the owner of the Actor Prepares acting academy, which has trained a number of famous people, including Deepika Padukone and Varun Dhawan.

Soon, opinions about Kangana Ranaut dominated the comments section of Anupam’s post. Someone replied to his caption with, “Someone check whether Kangana is ok lol,” in response. Added one more, “I’m eager to see Kangana Ranaut’s response right away… You are the next victim, Anupam. Wait, if not this year, she’ll target you for sure.” Oh my God, Kangana would attack him too now that she is so envious of Alia, someone else said.

The friendship between Anupam and Kangana, who just worked together on the upcoming movie Emergency, is friendly; however, the same cannot be said for Kangana and Alia. Despite the fact that Alia has not publicly discussed Kangana much and has even commended her acting and talent in prior interviews, Kangana frequently makes direct and/or subtle jabs at Alia. Kangana recently shared a mysterious note about a Bollywood “casanova” and his wife, who she claimed were spying on her. Reddit users claim that Kangana made references to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She continued by providing several information about their lives without mentioning either of them by name.

I suggest she must refuse this arrangement and keep an eye on him… how is he getting all this information and what all is he indulging in because if he gets in trouble she and her baby will be in trouble as well. She must take control of her life and make sure Dear girl, I love you and your beautiful baby. Raha Kapoor was born to Alia and Ranbir in November 2022.

Anupam Kher, an actor, shared his satisfaction after meeting Dr. Karan Singh, a former government minister and leader of the Congress, at the Delhi airport lately. Anupam uploaded a photo of the pair on Instagram on Tuesday. Anupam and Dr. Singh are seen in the photo standing next to each other and grinning for the camera.

Anupam was wearing denims, a blue jacket over a white shirt. He also had a bag with him. Dr. Singh was observed wearing a cap and a black suit. The T3 terminal of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport was identified by Anupam as the location. “It was really nice to meet Dr. Karan Singh ji at the airport,” Anupam wrote as the post’s caption.

He also wrote: “I was delighted when he greeted me with “Kaese ho Panditji” (How are you, Panditji)! No one has ever spoken to me in that way! Anupam will soon be seen with actor Neena Gupta in the forthcoming family comedy Shiv Shastri Balboa. Shiv Shastri, an Indian retiree and ardent lover of the movie Rocky, serves as the center of the story’s plot. He relocates to the USA and finds himself on an unexpected road journey across the American heartland with Neena’s character, learning that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself.

Anupam recently stated to news agency ANI in regards to the movie, “It tells the narrative of two people whose lives are undergoing significant ups and downs without them realizing it. But they collaborate. Although our protagonists are not Bonnie and Clyde from the well-known Hollywood crime movie of the same name, they nonetheless turn into Bonnie and Clyde.”

Shiv Shastri Balboa, directed by Ajayan Venugopalan, also features Jugal Hansraj, Nargis Fakhri, and Sharib Hashmi in significant parts. It is scheduled to debut on February 10.

Anupam Kher comments on The Kashmir Files after RRR Oscars 2023 nomination

Anupam Kher opened up about his film not being given a nod in the Oscar nominations.

Recently, the 95th annual Academy Awards nominations were made public. SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film RRR received a nomination for the Best Original Song category for its musical song Naatu Naatu. Even Anupam Kher is a fan of the MM Keeravani song, which has caused crowds to physically dance in the aisles of theatres where it has been performed. The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, which is now out of the running for an Oscar in 2023, was mentioned by the legendary actor in a recent interview in addition to his praise for RRR and its song Naatu Naatu.

Earlier, a number of Indian movies, including Rishab Shetty’s Kannada film Kantara and Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia Bhatt, made it to the list of 301 movies that might be nominated for an Oscar in 2023. The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, was also on the list. Anupam has now spoken out about how his movie didn’t win an Oscar nomination as well as the overwhelming support RRR has received so far during the Hollywood awards season.

The actor told Bollywood media, “If now RRR has won Critics Choice award, and RRR has won the best song at Golden Globes, it is the greatest feeling for Indian cinema. Why should (we) not we celebrate? So, there must be obviously some problem with The Kashmir Files. I am the first person, who sort of tweeted that because I genuinely felt ‘wow the song Naatu Naatu, the whole crowd is dancing on that’. Because till now whatever films that they (western audiences) acknowledged were about poverty of Indians, about some foreigner, who has made a film, whether it is Richard Attenborough or Danny Boyle about Indians (but from a Western outlook). This is the first time a Hindustani film or Telugu film or whatever, an Indian film, has entered the mainstream of cinema.”

On Monday, filmmaker Subhash Ghai celebrated his 78th birthday by throwing a star-studded party at which he invited many of his longtime friends and frequent business partners. Everyone attended the party, including Kartik Aaryan, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Shatrughan Sinha, and Jackie Shroff. Jackie gave Subhash a plant as a gift and begged the photographers to calm down as they snapped pictures of him at the entrance gate.

Kartik Aaryan showed up to the party wearing blue denim and a blue t-shirt. Although he hasn’t yet collaborated with Subhash Ghai, he was one of the very few members of the new generation to attend the party. Meezaan Jafri, an actor, also attended the gathering.

The reception was also attended by actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor, who appeared in Subhash Ghai’s 1989 film Ram Lakhan and 1986 film Karma, respectively. Jackie spoke briefly with the media while Anil Kapoor posed with Anupam Kher. The paparazzi requested Jackie to step aside so they could get in the shot as he posed for them from behind a car. Jackie instructed them to “saans to lebe” (breathe easily) amidst a barrage of requests.

Fans liked his style of talking. A fan commented on the paparazzo video of him from the bash, “Yah wala bahut Jama bhiddu (this one was too good).” Another wrote, “Love you dada.” One more fan commented, “@apnabhidu the best happiness you gift is to others on their occasion is the plant and yes your accent rules saans to Le le.”

Anupam Kher wore a white shirt, black pants, and a black sleeveless jacket, whereas Anil Kapoor wore a beige shirt and beige pants. Anupam and Subhash Ghai collaborated on the 1993 film Khal Nayak, among other projects, while Anil participated in a number of independently produced films, including Taal, Yuvvraaj, Ram Lakhan, and many others.

Along with his wife Poonam, Shatrughan Sinha joined the celebration. He contributed to the films Kalicharan (1976) and Vishwa Nath (1978) by Subhash. Rakesh Roshan, an actor-turned-director, was present at the event as well.

The politician’s comment about “flying” and having the mindset of a pilot, which he made while on his Bharat Jodo Yatra, prompted the filmmaker to quip that his film “Sunday was made.” Vivek gave the impression that the Congressman didn’t understand what he was saying. Many others agreed with the filmmaker, according to the responses to his tweet.

Sharing a clip from Rahul Gandhi’s recent interview on Twitter, Vivek wrote, “My Sunday is made. I am flying already. Are you?” The filmmaker reacted to Rahul’s comments about flying and joked about his explanation.

The video was from an interview with Siddharth Aalambayan, where he asked Rahul about being a pilot. Siddharth confessed that he wanted to be a pilot, and then Rahul explained that he learnt flying from his father, late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He shared, “Flying is partially about flying an aeroplane. But it’s much more about an approach and an attitude.”Rahul also added, “My father told me one line. He said, ‘Always fly the plane, never let the plane fly you.'” He spoke seeing things with a larger perspective as a result of his training as a pilot.

Some of the comments on Vivek’s tweet shared the filmmaker’s views. One Twitter user responded to Rahul’s statement that the pilot had to be ahead of the plane, writing, “If this is what pilots do I am scared! Next time I take a flight I would like to first ensure that the Pilot is firmly seated in the cockpit and is not ahead of the plane.”

Another user shared, “Are you flying the plane or is the plane flying you….make sure please (laughing face with tears emojis).” Yet another joked, “I am flying on Cloud 9 (wink face emoji).” There were also a few Rahul defenders. One user stated, “I can understand that it is difficult to understand simple English and logic when u have a mindset of hating someone.”

On his Bharat Jodo Yatra, which started on September 7, 2022, Rahul is now through Jammu and Kashmir. Several Indian celebrities, including Kamal Haasan, Amol Palekar, Pooja Bhatt, and Swara Bhasker, marched alongside the Congress leader in an effort to draw attention to the major political challenges facing the nation.

The Vaccine War, in which Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, and Sapthami Gowda star, is Vivek’s upcoming motion picture. Pallavi, the wife of the filmmaker, was recently injured on the job when a car drove over her foot.

Actor Sapthami Gowda, recently seen in the movie Kantara (2022), is now filming in Hyderabad for the upcoming movie The Vaccine War, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. Gowda, who is eager to break into the Hindi cinema industry with the movie starring Anupam Kher and Nana Patekar, says, “Vivek sir watched Kantara and spoke to Rishab Shetty (Kantara’s director and actor), sir. He said that I would be ideal for a character in his upcoming work. Vivek sir phoned me and offered the position after Rishab sir provided him my contact information. “I’ll be pleased if you’d be a part of this picture,” he remarked. I jumped on board right away. After learning more about my character, a script was shortly delivered to me. I made my Bollywood debut in an instant.

Despite the fact that this is the actor’s third film and her first in Hindi, she doesn’t view herself as someone who wants to settle down in Bollywood. “I am happy to participate in any initiative that appeals to me. But my top objective is finding Kannada cinema projects, which I do constantly. The language is good. The actor adds, “I have also signed a Kannada movie called Kaali.

The 26-year-old, who is making her Bollywood debut, adds that she began filming on January 15 and that thus far, it has been a wonderful trip full of learning. She also discusses the significance of her character. The movie doesn’t have any main characters. The language gap is unavoidable, but I’ve been making progress. Although I believe any character is challenging to play, my character is a little challenging. If you find a character to be simple to play, I think you’re not doing something correctly. Gowda claims she is figuring out how to overcome the difficulty of speaking another language. “Vivek sir has been a huge help to me in nailing my lines and accent. He advised me that I could study the lines in either Kannada or English as long as the sentiments were clear. The feeling a line conveys is more important than the actual line itself. My eyes must speak louder than my dialogue, he remarked, and that has stuck with me. He’s been really helpful, she says.

After wrapping off the filming for her upcoming movie Emergency, Kangana Ranaut posted some photos to Instagram. The actor-director said in her article that she had to mortgage her home in order to make the movie. Kangana will play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie Emergency.

In three photos from the set, Kangana can be seen speaking on a microphone while seated behind the camera while wearing the same hair and makeup as the late Indira Gandhi. She noted in the caption that she had to mortgage every piece of property she owned to make sure the movie was finished. Additionally, she disclosed that she contracted dengue while shooting the first schedule. Kangana thanked the crew in the post and assured her fans that she is now in a “secure place,” so they don’t need to be concerned.

In 2021, Kangana announced her movie Emergency. It was written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote the screenplay for Kangana’s recent box office dud, Dhaakad. In addition to Kangana, other prominent actors in the movie include Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade. In June of this year, filming for Emergency got underway. The crew for the movie recently finished shooting in Assam.

Actor Vardhan Puri speaks extensively about his professional career as well as the film he co-starred in with Vivek Agnihotri, which the director had previously claimed to have canceled.

Vardhan Puri signed three films after his 2019 debut Yeh Saali Aashiqui, but they were cancelled owing to the pandemic. The actor claims that throughout his brief time working as an assistant director and actor, he encountered numerous individuals who claimed to have contacts in the film industry, including those who take advantage of actors by promising jobs in exchange.“Some people directly ask you for sexual favours, and say, ‘You pay me this much and I will get you this’. Someone would say, main aapko X, Y, Z se milaunga or woh aapke liye film likh rahe hain. And later, you learn that the person doesn’t even know the director and woh industry ka hissa hi nahin hain. They just try to make a quick buck,” he shares.

Nautanki by director Vivek Agnihotri was the first movie to lure Puri back from his hiatus during the pandemic. It’s interesting to note that Agnihotri claimed to be “no longer affiliated with the project” in an interview from April 2022. Agnihotri claimed that he assisted his friend and fellow actor Anupam Kher by filming the movie during the initial lockdown and even assisted with the first cut out of goodwill, but he had no knowledge of the finished product. Ask Puri about the progress, and the actor acknowledges that things are going well without giving away too much. That’s an old story, he continues. I’m not permitted to discuss it. Now that everything is going well, Agnihotri is quite proud of the movie.

Social media users have started sharing an old video that shows what the superstar Shah Rukh Khan wrote in the acting journal he kept for his daughter Suhana Khan.

Anupam Kher’s show Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai featured SRK in 2014, and during that visit, he discussed his plans to write a book on acting for his daughter. “I really want my daughter to be an actor. So I have decided that no one else listens to me, my daughter is young, so as a form of respect, she will read the book which I am writing for her. Whenever something comes into my heart about acting, I write it down.”

He added the following in the video: “Yes, only for her. I am writing my personal experiences in 3-4 short lines. I feel like writing it for her. Because I think I need to tell someone how I act. When I try to tell about it to my co-actors, they avoid that. So I want my daughter to read that book and learn from it.”

Suhana recently posted a photo to Instagram in which she displayed the journal his father mentioned in the previous video.

According to an Indian report, Shah Rukh Khan simply titled the book, “To Suhana… on Acting… by Papa.”
