Manoj Bajpayee recounts that for the first time, Shah Rukh took him to a disco

Manoj Bajpayee
  • Shah Rukh Khan took Manoj Bajpayee to a disco in Delhi.
  • Where he was the poorest man there and saw the life of a night club.
  • Manoj hails from a village in Bihar and rose to fame with Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya in 1998.

Manoj Bajpayee claims that Shah Rukh Khan introduced him to discos for the first time, and that he may have been the poorest person there.
Manoj, who is from a hamlet in Bihar, became well-known in 1998 thanks to Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya. He spent a lot of time in Delhi before his success, first for college and subsequently for theater.
Manoj recalled the night SRK took him to a disco and related the story to Currly Tales “It’s been a while since then. Ghungroo was a nightclub in Delhi and it was maine chappal pehni thi uss samay. I was wearing slippers at the time, and somehow shoes were made available to me. Kisi tarah mere liye jooton ka intezam kiya gaya.”

Then I went inside, he continued. I had never seen that life before. You must understand what a nightclub is. I was in a corner drinking wine while these people were dancing.

Manoj has spoken about his first trip to a discotheque before, and this is not the first time. He admitted to taking me last year, saying to Galatta Plus, “Yeah, Shah Rukh Khan, Benny, and Rama were the ones who took me. My first time visiting a discotheque was then. He added that it was “dark and dismal” there.

Recently, Manoj appeared in the movies Dial 100 and Silence… Can You Hear It? Also, he played the lead role in Raj & DK’s well-liked online series The Family Man. The first two seasons of the show debuted on Prime Video, and a third season is anticipated by fans.

The release of Manoj’s subsequent film, Gulmohar, which was directed by Rahul V. Chittella, is currently imminent. Sharmila Tagore, Suraj Sharma, Amol Palekar, Kaveri Seth, and Simran are also featured in Gulmohar. On March 3, it will be available on Disney+ Hotstar.

A multigenerational family named the Batras, who must deal with concerns when they must leave their 34-year-old family home, are the subject of the movie. Star Studios, in collaboration with Chalkboard Entertainment, and Autonomous Works, produce the movie.

Sharmila Tagore recalls being questioned how her husband permitted her to work after the wedding

Sharmila Tagore
  • Sharmila Tagore explained how difficult it was for her to deal with judgments.
  • She was working in films a few decades ago.
  • Sharmila Tagore had the support of her husband Mansoor Ali Khan when working in films.

Sharmila Tagore, a seasoned actor, described how challenging it was for her to deal with opinions while she was acting in movies a few decades ago. In a recent interview, Sharmila said that her late husband, cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan, had been there for her.

Sharmila contrasted the traditional and contemporary views on women actresses continuing to work after marriage. She claimed that although she was questioned, her daughter Soha Ali Khan and daughter-in-law, actor Kareena Kapoor, weren’t.

Sharmila stated in a Bollywood Bubble interview: “My family gave me a lot of support, and my spouse always gave me room and always stood with me. I did not need to defend myself. I therefore had that kind of help. That is a huge blessing for me. My mother had to complete her MA on her own because she was prohibited from attending a coed university. How did your husband permit you to work after you got married is a question I’ve been asked. Nobody ever questions my daughter, my daughter-in-law, who lives her life.”

She said, “The world is evolving. We’re moving ahead. Society can be sluggish to adapt, but once change becomes the norm, it also speeds up, as is the case right now in the entire world. Male dominance and the male gaze are still prevalent. India has a long history, hence different regions of the country hold different types of beliefs. Mumbai, a beautiful city, Delhi, and Kolkata, the larger cities, have a different viewpoint. Overall, I believe that our situation has improved.”

Mansoor and Sharmila got married in December 1968. They have Saif Ali Khan, Saba Ali Khan, and Soha Ali Khan as children. In 2012, Saif wed Kareena Kapoor. Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan are their two sons. Soha and Kunal.

With Gulmohar, Sharmila is returning to the big screen after her 2010 film Break Ke Baad. Together with Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar, Suraj Sharma, Simran Rishi Bagga, and Kaveri Seth, the family drama is directed by Rahul V. Chittella. Star Studios, in collaboration with Chalkboard Entertainment, and Autonomous Works, develop it. On March 3, Gulmohar will debut on Disney+ Hotstar.

The Pataudis frequently gather at one another’s homes, not just during special occasions. Soha Ali Khan, Kareena’s other sister-in-law, posted a group shot on Instagram a few days ago. The majority of the clan gathered at Saif’s Mumbai home for the gathering. Only Saba, Soha’s husband Kunal Kemmu, Sara Ali Khan, Saif’s eldest child, were absent from the luncheon. The picture also included Kareena, Sharmila Tagore, Soha’s daughter Inaaya, and her nephews Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur, and Jehangir.

Kareena had posted an image of herself earlier in the day for Valentine’s Day wearing a Manish Malhotra saree with the statement, “Favorite thing about me is… Greetings on Valentine’s Day.” She remembered the famous line she delivered as Geet in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met (2007) for the holiday.
