Kartik Aaryan
How can we start the list of the 10 best Bollywood actors in 2022 without mentioning the acclaimed boy from Gwalior? Kartik became one of the highest-paid B-town actor in the year. The sequel to the smash horror-comedy made waves and resurrected the B-business after a long dry phase. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 exceeded all predictions, becoming the largest Bollywood hit post-pandemic and ranked in the top 30 Bollywood grosser of all time.
After such a huge success, the audience and the people from the film industry expected so much more from Kartik and that he delivered! His second release, psychological thriller film Freddy was rated 4.7 stars on ImBD, ensuring the invisible crown and a stew of films for Kartik in the future.
Anupam Kher
Anupam Kher is a versatile and personally one of my most favorite actor of Bollywood. Not only that he is also the person whose film was the most talked about in 2022. Even if this was not the 10 best Bollywood actors in 2022 Anupam Kher should be mentioned as the cream of the cake. He delivered 2 Bollywood films and 2 regional films in 2022. First the Kashmir Files which was either the most loved or the most hated film. However, if we talk about Kher, his acting is always the most amazing treat to have. His other Bollywood film Unchai which also performed exceptionally on the Box office. May his talent flourishes for years to come.
Rajkummar Rao
Rajkummar Rao gained notoriety in Bollywood and is recognized as one of the modern or new generation’s most adaptable actors. He was seen in three movies in this year. Let’s start with the Netflix release, Hit: the first case, which was liked by audience yet they felt like it lacked luster. There is a fascinating mystery hidden somewhere in this fragmentary story, but it is obscured by the drab writing and flat characterization.
Let’s move on to Badhaai Do which is a sweet comedy-drama that demonstrates to viewers and Rajkummar Rao at his very best how significant and commonplace it is that love is love. One can pardon the movie’s length and reliance on well-known comedy clichés. It seemed to grab the audience’s attention completely. Monica O my Darling was another confused tale that was just not able to tie both ends together. Wanting to see more of Rajkummar’s acting in 2023, hopefully.

Akshay Kumar
Akshay- one who could never do a bad movie saw a bad phase with his one after the other releases in 2022. Starting with Bachchan Pandey, which failed terribly on the box office, we might have thought that since its Akshay even if the story not being up to the mark, the pace of the narrative could helped a bit but even that falters. After that 4 of his movies failed left right and center and people started to doubt Akshay as an actor altogether.
However, with his latest release Ram Setu can be considered as the first serious good adventure movie made for young generation – kids and early teenagers. Which might have not performed well on the BO but restored faith in his fans. Hoping Kumar releases his mistake and better himself, so that we see more of Akshay’s flawless acting in 2023.
Ranbir Kapoor
Falling onto this list is yet another notable actor Ranbir Kapoor, who have delivered 3 films in 2022. He has the attitude to become a megastar, whether it’s because of his X factor or the fact that he frequently makes news for highly contested and personal reasons.
He started this year with Sharmaji Namkeen, which was an amazing film however Rishi Kapoor was star of the film as he passed away before even the shoot was complete. Which might be the reason for people to watch. After that Shamshera happened, which turned the entire Bollywood and its fans into either supporting it completely or making a sham of it. The movie falls miserably on the box office. Even apart from the BO fans thought it was an outdated script with a predictable plot. After which Brahmastra: Part one Shiva happened. The movie was a success in Box office terms. However, despite earning Rs 425 crore worldwide, some viewers believe that Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is not a successful endeavour. Let’s see what he has in store for us in 2023.
Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana has come a long way in his career and established himself as a bankable superstar. He delivered 3 movies this year on different topic. Anek, an Action Hero, Doctor G. Anek performed poorly on the box office which is rightfully so. The directors burdened themself of attempting to contextualize and explain a protracted struggle of decades through the movie, however Ayushmann’s acting was worth the praise.
Next was an Action hero with reasonable amount of action and humour supported by strong acting, even though the plot doesn’t always make sense and you wish the movie was more focused, the movie was well liked by many. Doctor G was a confusing movie with no direction of actual plot, however it did attracted the attention. Let’s wait to see if Khurrana will make our 10 best Bollywood actors 2023 list or not.
Ajay Devgn
Seems like Ajay had quite a year with 3 releases and 2 side roles he in running in his own race, His first movie Runway 34 failed to connect with the audience and was failed miserably on the Box office. His second movie Thank God was also a huge flop on the BO as well as in the audiences. His third movie Drishyam 2 performed great and received 4.6 stars on IMBD and was loved in the audiences. Ajay’s acting was amazing in all 3 though. His side roles in Gangubai was highly appreciated and loved by many. 2023 will surely see more of Ajay’s amazing acting.
Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor is a versatile actor who was first classified as a lover boy but later transformed with so many amazing movies and characters that it is hard to miss any of his movies. However, 2022 saw just one film from the talented actor and that is Jersey, a sports genre movie, the movie is an experience of excellent acting and the emotional trip. It’s rare these days to find something like Jersey that the whole family can enjoy. We hope to see the amazing actor in more avatars and films in the upcoming year.
Aamir Khan
How can the list go on without mentioning The Mr. Perfect of Bollywood, Aamir khan? However his perfection missed the mark in his first release of the year Laal Singh Chaddha. Which was hipped as one of the most interesting movies of the year failed pretty badly on the Box office. The movie seemed dragged, pointless and failed to attract the public like his other movies. However, it did became a controversy that kept him and his film in the news for days. So when it was release on Netflix many people saw it a chance to see what the whole hype was about. Bringing the film to trend for a month on the OTT platform.
His cameo in Salaam Venky however proved to the audience once again that he is every bit of Mr perfect they credit him for. Let’s see what he have in store for us in 2023.
R Madhvan
Many must be shocked to see R Madhvan a part of this list. But what can I say, just call me biased. His coming back to the cinema Rocketry: The Nambi Effect shows the effect Madhvan have on the people. He does make you believe in the character. Yet the writing is a bit stodgy and even the direction wasn’t quite up there. The biography of physicist Nambi Narayanan by R. Madhavan serves as an unintentional reminder of how a corrupt government may turn a hero into a victim. Hopefully Madhvan keeps the same energy and makes bring amazing stories in 2023.
