The Home Department of Balochistan has enforced section 144 across the province due to law and order situation.

A statement has been issued in this regard, according to which the district administration of Quetta has banned the visit of the picnics points under section 144 on the occasion of Eid.

The administration has banned popular spots including Hanna Orak, Karkhasssa, and Shaban.  The statement appealed to the citizens not to visit the relevant places during Eid ul Fitr.

Several incidents of terrorism took place in Balochistan province in which several innocent civilians and law enforcement personnel were martyred while dozens of terrorists and foreigners were sent to hell.

KARACHI: Sindh Government on Friday imposed ban on heavy traffic to enter in Karachi from 6am to 10pm.

According to a notification issued by Commissioner Karachi, section 144 has been implemented to ensure the protection of the citizens and maintain traffic flow, which will ban heavy traffic from 6am to 10pm.

Heavy traffic will be allowed to enter the city from 10pm to 6am, the statement said.

A statement issued by Commissioner Karachi said that the ban would not be applied to medicines, water, edible oil vehicles.

Traffic accidents have surged across Karachi in 2025, claiming 108 lives out of which 72 were reported in urban and 24 in the suburbs area of city as dumper truck-related crashes also increase.

However, after the accidents, several incidents of burning of vehicles have also been reported.

The Home Department of Balochistan has imposed section 144 in the province for the next 15 days, which has been issued formal notification.

In this regard, according to the Balochistan government, the display and use of weapons will be banned on this occasion.

According to the notification , the aforementioned order will be implemented immediately, the rallies, processions and gatherings of more than 5 people have been banned for 15 days.

It should be noted that section 144 has been done at a time when the Pakistan Tehreek -e –Insaf(PTI)  has called for a nationwide protest across the country on February 8.

Earlier, Punjab government has also imposed section 144 across the province ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.

LAHORE: Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province ahead of Paksitan Tehreak e Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled on November 24 in Islamabad.

The Punjab government has issued a notification for the implementation of Section 144 under which all kinds of protests, meetings, processions, rallies, dharnas and such activities will be banned.

According to the notification, the ban will be applicable from Saturday, November 23 to Monday, November 25.

It has been said in the notification that the decision to implement Section 144 has been taken to maintain law and order, protect human lives and property, there are security threats, any public procession can be a soft target for terrorists.

The notification further states that miscreants can achieve nefarious purposes by anti-state activities under the guise of public gathering.

ISLAMABAD: The government has started preparations to deal with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI) Islamabad march scheduled on November 24.

The federal government has started preparations to deal with PTI’s protest and possible sit-in and in this regard it has been decided to tighten security arrangements in the federal capital.

Islamabad Police has asked for 9,000 Rangers and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel before November 22, while anti-riots kits have also been requested by the police authorities.

Section 144 has also been imposed in Islamabad for 2 months under which all public gatherings, processions, rallies and demonstrations of 5 or more people will be banned.

According to the sources, PTI has also completed the preparations for the protest in Islamabad and party sources claim that 10,000 workers have already reached Islamabad, Rawalpindi and nearby areas in this regard.

According to the sources, PTI is determined to get its founder out of jail and it is being said that party mandate has to be returned, while announcements are also being made not to return back until the demands are accepted.

KARACHI:  Sindh government has imposed Section 144 in Karachi as the city hosts 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS-24) at the Expo Centre from November 19 to 22, 2024.

On the occasion of Defence Exhibition Ideas 2024 in Karachi, protests and rallies have been banned for 7 days as part of security measures.

Demonstrations and rallies have been banned in Karachi as part of security measures on the occasion of Ideas 2024. No protests or sit-ins will be allowed in Karachi from November 18 to 24.

According to the notification, on the request of Additional IG Police of Karachi Range, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi has imposed a complete ban on public gatherings under Section 144 in urban limits for 7 days.

A notification issued in this regard states that public gatherings of more than five people will not be allowed during the given period. Similar restrictions have also been imposed in Islamabad in a notification issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner.

The defence exhibition will open today after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurates it. The exhibition will be organised by the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO), under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence and Defence Production, aiming to promote Pakistan’s defence industry internationally.

The event as per its traditions will showcase splendid activities encompassing world’s advanced defence technology demonstrations, international seminar, IDEAS Tri-Services Karachi Show, networking, and business expansions through B2B and B2G engagements.

A meeting of the District Intelligence Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema, in which district officers and administrative officers participated in addition to police officials.

The provincial government imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi for eight days, the purpose of the enforcement of the section is to secure the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) summit.

Political gatherings, sit-ins, rallies and other activities will be banned in Rawalpindi, while double-riding, aerial firing, pigeon flying, flying drones and use of laser lights are also banned within the city limits.

The decision to implement the section has been made at the request of the district administration and to maintain law and order and protect human lives and property, however, representatives of law enforcement agencies will be exempted from restrictions. The Section 41 has been implemented until October 17.

It should be noted that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit(SCO) will be held in Islamabad on October 15th and 16th.
