Tamannaah Bhatia’s Pricey Gem Leaves Vijay Varma in Stitches

Tamannaah Bhatia's
  • Tamannaah Bhatia recently found herself in the spotlight due to a swirling rumor about her owning the world’s 5th largest diamond.
  • Tamannaah herself took to social media to clarify the situation, putting all speculations to rest.
  • Vijay burst into laughter and shed light on the reality of the situation.

Tamannaah Bhatia recently found herself in the spotlight due to a swirling rumor about her owning the world’s 5th largest diamond. It all began when an old photo of the actress resurfaced on the internet, showing her donning a stunning diamond on her finger. The gossip mills went into overdrive, attributing the lavish gift to South superstar Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela.

However, as it turns out, the news was far from the truth. Tamannaah herself took to social media to clarify the situation, putting all speculations to rest. In her post, she humorously revealed that the sparkling gem in question was, in fact, nothing more than a bottle opener. “#GirlsLiketoClickPics,” she quipped, playfully dismissing the extravagant claims.

Amidst the chaos, Vijay Varma, Tamannaah’s boyfriend, candidly shared his reaction to the entire episode in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan. When asked about the news of Tamannaah’s diamond acquisition, Vijay burst into laughter and shed light on the reality of the situation. According to him, it was all a playful exchange between the couple, and the media took it a bit too seriously. He remarked, “Aapko pata hai na woh kya hai? Woh bottle ka dhakkan hai. Woh mazaak kar rahe hain ek dusre ke saath. Media carry kar rahi hai ke Rs 2 crore ka fifth-largest diamond. Rs 2 crore mein fifth-largest diamond kisse milta hai?” (Do you know what it is? It’s a bottle cap. We were just kidding with each other. The media is carrying reports about a Rs 2 crore fifth-largest diamond. Who gets the fifth-largest diamond for Rs 2 crore?)

In a heartwarming gesture, Vijay revealed that he had reached out to Tamannaah to alert her about the false news and jokingly inquired why his name wasn’t mentioned in the reports.

To shed light on the source of confusion, the misinterpreted post dated back to 2019 when Upasana Kamineni Konidela shared a photo of Tamannaah posing with the “bottle opener” on her finger. In her caption, she playfully mentioned it as a gift to the actress. However, the tweet resurfaced recently and sparked the diamond speculations, leading to the hilarious turn of events.

With Tamannaah’s clarifying post, the truth has finally emerged, putting an end to the diamond saga. It appears that the actress and her boyfriend had a good laugh over the entire situation, and the fans got a glimpse of their playful banter.

In conclusion, the episode serves as a humorous reminder of how rumors and misunderstandings can spread like wildfire in the age of social media. Tamannaah Bhatia’s fake diamond story will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the lighthearted moments in the realm of Bollywood gossip.

Ram Charan claims that RRR is successful despite not being from south India

Ram Charan
  • Ram Charan, who returned to India after attending the 2023 Oscars, was in Delhi.
  • He attended an event, and spoke at length about RRR, the Oscars, his acting career, future projects and much more.
  • The actor was greeted by a sea of fans and supporters at the Delhi airport on Friday.

After returning to India for the 2023 Oscars, actor Ram Charan attended an event in Delhi where he discussed RRR, the Oscars, his acting career, upcoming projects, and many other topics.
At the Delhi airport on Friday, a sea of admirers and supporters greeted the actor. At the 95th Academy Awards, RRR became the first Indian film to win an Oscar in the Original Song category. This made history. Naatu Naatu received a standing ovation during its live performance at the Oscars in 2023. The performance was introduced on stage by actress Deepika Padukone.

When asked at the event if he considers himself a global superstar and about the rise of south Indian cinema, the actor responded, “Yes.” This has begun, and it has had a significant effect on our movies. In Telugu, it is going on with Baahubali and presently crossing all limits. RRR is a big hit, not because it comes from the South, in my opinion. From Bengal to Tamil Nadu, we have numerous industries in the South. Our directors are outstanding. And I believe that the stories that are rooted in our own histories—Magadheera was like that—will really have an impact on the West. That was how Lagaan was. Korea’s parasite—it was their own tale. Anyone who creates films based on their culture, folklore, struggles, and feelings is in India. Additionally, audiences worldwide and in the West are prepared to accept an original individual.

The RRR song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for Best Original Song, and lyricist Chandrabose and composer MM Keeravaani appeared on stage to accept the honor. Naatu Naatu has truly become a global phenomenon in recent months. The track got people hooting and dancing in the aisles at every recent screening in the West. The fictional RRR is based on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two well-known revolutionaries who lived in the 1920s prior to independence. Jr. NTR was portrayed by Ram Charan as Bheem.

The Shankar-directed RC 15 will be Ram’s next movie. The Telugu film will star the actor alongside Kiara Advani.

The 41-minute film tells the story of Raghu, an orphaned elephant calf who is cared for by mahouts Bomman and Bellie. According to Monga, the Oscar victory has prepared the path for change by bringing attention to the treatment of elephants and by making the world sit up and take note of Indian stories, including her film.

Speaking further about how the triumph improved conditions for elephants in Tamil Nadu, he says, “After our victory, we saw the power of storytelling. The state government stated that each of the 91 elephant keepers in the two camps of the state would receive 1 lakh from the CM Relief Fund as a thank-you gift. Additionally, it provided 9.1 crore to construct mahouts’ cottages, and 5 crore to erect an elephant camp in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Bommon and Bellie have also received praise from CM MK Stalin. Monga continues, “We will continue to tell stories that matter and tales that make a difference,” clearly pleased with the impact she has been able to accomplish.

Monga also discusses how Indian cinema’s influence is beginning to be seen around the world. “Bong Joon Ho almost created a pathway for more languages to become well-known on a global scale when he declared in his Oscar speech, “If you break the one-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more outstanding films. As all movies have the same message, regardless of language, creativity triumphs when audiences around the world can relate to them. Real stories triumph,” she says.

The fact that “two women won it” makes this award extra remarkable in Monga’s eyes. “I’m really thrilled and honored that Kartiki (who made her acting debut with the movie) and I were the only two women representing India at the Oscars this year and that we got the first award for an Indian production,” the actress says. This is significant and sends a message to other women.

“It was breathtaking to witness the live performance of Naatu Naatu (RRR, 2022) and win an Oscar,” Monga enthuses as she shares her excitement at seeing fellow artists making India proud on the Oscars platform. I am extremely honored that SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Chandrabose, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR could be there for this special occasion.

Monga adds, “I’m really proud of All That Breathes,” acknowledging Shaunak Sen. (2022). Shaunak is one of the most promising Indian directors to watch out for even though his picture didn’t win. The year 2023 at the Oscars was a triumph for India thanks to all three nominations.

The actor is now anticipating to India. “I’ve been missing my family and cooking at home. Too much time has passed. I want to go back home and spend time with Sunny’s (Sunny Kapoor, my husband’s) parents. Since our December wedding, not much time has been spent with one other. When the documentary was chosen for the shortlist, I was on my honeymoon. We were nominated as soon as I got back. I have not been able to since then.

Although Indian documentaries have been successful in recent years in establishing themselves in film festivals, Monga has frequently stated that it needs more organization, funding, and support. Does she really think that winning an Oscar will make everything better? Monga responds, “Funding for documentaries is not well supported in India. The majority of the time, international finances, TV channels, and productions have helped make documentaries. But, with platforms like Netflix, it has risen and doubled down, making it possible for average audiences to consume and appreciate the art of documentaries. Yet, there is still a ton of work to be done. I sincerely hope that a lot more financing opportunities arise.

If one documentary can make such a significant impact, just think of what else is possible if we properly promote documentary filmmaking in India, the author continues.

The director also discusses how difficult it was for her and the rest of the team to convey a narrative from India’s rural areas to an international stage like the Oscars. “Indeed, the journey of The Elephant Whisperers has been so inspirational, fruitful, and heartwarming—from Mudumalai Tiger Reserve to the Oscars. We had never expected or seen anything like the love we’ve had from audiences throughout the world, hundreds of emails, fan art, and messages from individuals of all ages,” she tells us.

Even before we were nominated, our director Kartiki Gonsalves was in Los Angeles. Our genuine satisfaction is the fact that it struck a chord with so many individuals around the world. She put a lot of effort into advertising the movie and expanding its audience. When I joined her in February, we went to several showings of our documentary short film and met so many amazing people who helped us, loved what we did, and made the movie so unique, she continues.

While Monga acknowledges that the Academy voters ultimately decide whether a film wins or loses, she is incredibly appreciative that they chose this one among the many outstanding entries in the given category. Well, it has been a roller coaster journey, and we ended up there.

Monga concludes by sending one final message to everyone in the hopes that they may one day win the trophy, represent their nation abroad, and make everyone proud. “Stop waiting for acceptance from others. Nothing is impossible if you keep moving forward. Everyone can do it if I can do it. All of it is in our minds. We wish you many more Oscar wins!

SS Rajamouli says Oscar win for Naatu Naatu will boost RRR sequel writing

SS Rajamouli
  • RRR won the Oscar for Best Original Song and director SS Rajamouli admitted that the win will speed up work on the sequel.
  • Which is being written by his father Vijayendra Prasad.
  • The director attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after party with Keeravaani.

The Telugu movie RRR finally won the Oscar for Best Original Song on Monday after becoming a global phenomenon with viewers. The song Naatu Naatu, penned by Chandrabose and arranged by MM Keeravaani, which had been the front-runner during the awards season, also won the highest honor. In Los Angeles, the RRR team celebrated their victory, and the blockbuster movie’s director SS Rajamouli was questioned about the planned sequel. Rajamouli acknowledged that the Oscar victory would expedite the sequel’s writing by his father, screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad.

The director went to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with his cousin Keeravaani. Variety, a trade publication for Hollywood, asked him if he would start writing the script more quickly now that RRR had won the Oscar. Rajamouli chuckled and remarked: “Certainly, [the Oscar win] will cause the plot to pick up speed. Without a doubt, let’s see.” Speaking about the sequel’s development was a “tricky question,” Keeravaani, who was sitting next to the director, had injected.

The director had previously stated that he had no intention of creating a historical drama sequel. In addition, he believed there hadn’t been any worthwhile ideas to pursue. He started to change his mind, though, as the movie became a worldwide hit.

In an interview with Variety, Rajamouli stated, “After the film’s success abroad, when the subject came up again, my cousin [MM Keeravaani]—who is also a member of my core team—gave a concept that we thought was absolutely brilliant. This is the direction that needs to be taken. He commanded his father to get to work right away and develop the concept.

He had added, “Right now, he’s working on the story seriously; he’s finishing it. But, when this script is finished, when we really look into how to make it, when to make it, and how to bring it onto the screen.”

Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, two RRR actors, attended the Vanity Fair event as well. Ram and his wife Upasana Konidela attended the ceremony, while Jr. NTR walked the red carpet wearing a Gaurav Gupta ensemble. Thereafter, Rajamouli’s LA house hosted a private celebration for the RRR crew.

  • The actor has noticed changes in him since his film RRR became a worldwide phenomenon.
  • Ram Charan has collaborated for the first time with filmmaker Shankar.

In a project currently known as RC15, Kiara Advani will be seen making her Telugu cinema debut alongside Ram Charan. The actor spoke candidly about her co-star and the changes she had seen in him since the success of his movie RRR. Ram is visiting the United States to attend the 2023 Oscars, where RRR’s song Naatu Naatu is up for Best Original Song. Speaking of Ram, Kiara stated that they first connected with the premiere of RRR and began filming their Telugu feature shortly thereafter.

Actor Ram Charan and director Shankar have worked together for the first time on the upcoming movie, which is now known as RC 15. In a recent interview, producer Dil Raju stated that preparations are being made to announce the movie’s title and debut poster on Ram Charan’s birthday. On March 27, Ram becomes 38 years old.

Working with Ram is always a pleasure, Kiara Advani said to News18 when asked about her relationship with him. He is an exceptionally talented actor and dancer. And this movie will portray both of us quite differently. “I met him after RRR,” she continued. Even after the movie’s premiere, we continued to shoot together. He has not changed. He is really sensible. He is a great and humble man. He is the star he is because of that.

Upasana, the wife of Ram Charan, and Kiara are very close. As Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra shared their first wedding images, she sent them a note of remorse. On February 7, Kiara and Sidharth exchanged vows at Jaisalmer’s Suryagrah Palace. “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai,” Kiara wrote as the caption for their wedding photos on Instagram (We are booked for the whole life together now). As we continue our journey, we ask for your love and blessings. Congrats, Upasana had said. This is really lovely. I’m sorry we couldn’t make it (hug emojis). A lot of love to you both.

Kiara will next be seen with Kartik Aaryan in the forthcoming love movie Satyaprem Ki Katha. On June 29, the movie is scheduled for release. She last appeared with Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in Govinda Naam Mera.

AR Rahman says he wants Naatu Naatu to win the Oscars in 2023

AR Rahman
  • AR Rahman expressed his support for SS Rajamouli’s RRR song Naatu Naatu.
  • Which is nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars 2023.
  • AR Rahman said, “I want Naatu-Naatu to win awards.

Ahead to the 2023 Oscars, music director and vocalist AR Rahman supported SS Rajamouli’s song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR. The song is up for Best Original Song in the category, competing against artists including Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Rahman offered his backing for the Telugu song in the midst of this.
“I want Naatu-Naatu to win accolades, and I want them to win the Grammy as well,” AR Rahman stated in a statement to the news agency ANI. “Any prize for any of us will elevate India and increase the concentration of our culture.”

For the 2009 movie Slumdog Millionaire, AR Rahman and lyricist Gulzar shared the Best Original Song and Best Original Score Oscars. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences counts him among its members.

He said, “I felt that (India getting a nomination) would start ten years back,” in January of this year at a song launch ceremony in Mumbai. The delay is 12 years. India, a nation of 1.3 billion people, should host this every year because there are incredible visionaries in every field of filmmaking. Most films don’t participate in the competition. At least they (the RRR creators) had a means of disseminating it. Who will vote for your film if no one has ever heard of it?

RRR by SS Rajamouli is already well-known all over the world. Jr. NTR and Ram Charan appear in the song. At the Oscars in 2023, Lauren Gottlieb, a Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 6 runner-up, will perform it. The award presentation occurs on March 12. (March 13 in India).

The movie has already won multiple awards on a global scale, including this year’s Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globes for best song. It is the first Indian movie to be nominated for an Oscar Award in more than 20 years. MM Keeravani is the composer of Naatu Naatu.
