Actor Ram Charan spoke extensively about RRR, the Oscars, his acting career, and other topics while in Delhi for an event. Ram and actor-father Chiranjeevi visited with home minister Amit Shah in the meantime. The home minister congratulated them on RRR’s historic victory at the Oscars in 2023, where Naatu Naatu took home the prize for Best Original Music.

At the Delhi airport on Friday, Ram Charan was met by a swarm of admirers and supporters. At the 95th Academy Awards, RRR made history by becoming the first Indian production to win an Oscar for Original Song. Naatu Naatu was played live at the 2023 Oscars, and it received a standing ovation. On stage, actor Deepika Padukone gave the show its introduction.

Ram Charan is seen giving Amit Shah a bunch of flowers in a video clip by the news agency ANI as Chiranjeevi is standing next to him. The actor attended the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles alongside his wife Upasana, director SS Rajamouli of the RRR team, co-star Jr NTR, composer MM Keeravaani, and lyricist Chandrabose before flying back to Delhi. Ram Charan wore an all-black ensemble to the Oscar event, and his wife Upasana Konidela, who looked lovely in a cream designer saree, was with him.

Ram published a statement after his Oscar victory in which he discussed his sentiments at the time.

“RRR is and will always be the most unique movie of our time and in the annals of Indian cinema. I can’t thank everyone who helped the Oscar award materialize. “I still feel like I’m in a dream,” he wrote, thanking everyone for their unwavering love and support.Naatu Naatu genuinely rose to the status of a global phenomenon in recent months. RRR, a fictional tale set in the 1920s before independence, was released in theaters in March. It is based on the lives of two true heroes and well-known revolutionaries.

While Ram Charan stood out in a black bandhgala with chakra embellishments and a military flair, Upasana attracted attention with a saree she chose that adheres to her sustainable fashion principles.

She revealed on Instagram that the gorgeous silk drape with the ornate border was custom-made by Hyderabad-based designer Jayanti Reddy out of leftover materials.

According to Upasana, “Hyderabad-based designer Jayanti Reddy Label created a silk saree using hand-woven silk, spun fabric made from recycled scraps, staying in tune with my belief in sustainable fashion.

Upasana, who is expecting her first child with Ram Charan, flaunted her distinctive jewelry in the photos and wrote that her statement neckpiece, named Lilium, is by Bina Goenka.

The avant-garde Mumbai-based jewelry designer Bina Goenka spent the last four years creating the meticulously crafted statement Lilium neck piece, she emphasized.

Upsana went into depth about the jewelry’s construction. She claimed that the 400 carats of fine rubies used to make the necklace were “unrepeatable” and were fashioned from natural pearls.

An excerpt from the caption stated, “It was crafted with flawless craftsmanship, made with the best quality of natural gemstones of pearls, and about 400 carats of high-quality rubies that cannot be replicated.

The expecting mother expressed delight in her Oscars ensemble and thanked the hard work of the team who put it together.

“I sincerely value all of the effort, commitment, passion, and love that went into making these exquisite pieces for me. This appearance stands out from the competition due to the meticulous attention to detail “Her note was concluded.

Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, meanwhile, donned attire that reflected India’s ethnic culture. By earning an Oscar for the song Naatu Naatu in the Best Original Song category, the movie RRR created history.

Ram Charan and his wife Upasana go, they build a modest temple

Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela prayed at their local temple before leaving to attend the 95th Academy Awards on Monday. The RRR actor added that the pair builds a tiny shrine wherever they go in order to stay connected to India. As he and Upsana prepared for the big day, the actor let the cameras into their Los Angeles home.

Ram invited the Vanity Fair team to observe the pair getting ready before they headed to the Dolby Theatre for the Oscars. Along with displaying their attire to the cameras, Ram described the process they perform everywhere they go.

The actor disclosed in a Vanity Fair interview that “My wife and I erect this little temple wherever we go. This ceremony merely maintains us energetically connected to India. It’s crucial that we all start this day by expressing our gratitude to everyone and everything that has contributed to our ability to be here.” Ram and Upasana perform a brief prayer after getting dressed before leaving for the ceremony.

The actor wore a custom-made Italian pair of shoes in addition to an all-black Indian costume created for him by Indian designers Shantanu & Nikhil. He had Nikita Jaisinghani style him for the Academy Awards. About his attire, the actor said: “India feels like it’s on me. Everything is beautifully detailed.” His clothing had buttons that were actually coins with the Bharat emblem engraved on them. Six-months pregnant Upasana donned a cream saree with a red flower necklace as part of her outfit. The saree was produced by Telangana artisans in India out of leftover silk.

Naatu Naatu by RRR won the Oscar for Best Original Song, and its writers Chandrabose and MM Keeravaani appeared on stage to accept the honor. The Dolby Theatre audience gave the performers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava a standing ovation as they finished the song. Actress Deepika Padukone introduced them.

The following film starring Ram is RC 15, which Shankar is directing. In the Telugu movie, the actor will play Kiara Advani’s opposite.

The choker and characteristic medallion brooches that Charan wears to highlight his Alluri Seetharama Raju character from the SS Rajamouli directed film.

Ram Charan mentioned his excitement about fatherhood for the first time a few days ago while he was promoting RRR’s Oscars in the US. The performer stated, “I think we are really happy. All of us are doing well in our lives, professionally and personally. We are seeing a new dimension. To add more people to our life is always beautiful. And my mom and dad are really that happy we are making new addition and this time it’s not a dog.”

Ram Charan and Upasana have been happily married for ten years and are expecting their first child shortly. The couple recently celebrated their babymoon in the US as well. On the babymoon, Ram Charan spoilt his wife like a devoted husband by taking her shopping, on a long drive, and to the States to see dolphins.
