During the launch of SCREEN in Mumbai, he recounted an experience where singer Sunidhi Chauhan expressed fear after watching him in the film Pink.

Varma noted, “Lots of pretty girls and their mothers have told me they are scared of me, and it did bother me. The introduction of extremely diabolical men that I played started with Pink.” His characters, often involved in serious crimes against women, have left a lasting impression, leading to women feeling uneasy around him in real life.

He recalled a poignant moment from an all-female screening of Pink, where even Sunidhi Chauhan was in tears. “I tried to console Sunidhi Chauhan, but she told me, ‘Don’t come near me. I’m very scared of you.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god, what just happened?'” Despite being surprised by her reaction, he received praise from the film’s director for his performance.

To shift public perception, Varma is now focusing on more positive and diverse roles, including that of Captain Devi Sharan in the upcoming film IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. He will also appear in Ul Jalool Ishq alongside Naseeruddin Shah and is currently filming Matka King with Kritika Kamra.

Actress Kareena Kapoor has disclosed that her two children’s nannies, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, dine with the family following a query from her elder son regarding why they were seated separately during meals. In an interview, Kareena Kapoor shared that upon Taimur’s inquiry, she and husband-actor Saif Ali Khan ensured that the nannies sat with them to share meals. She explained, “She sits with us. My boys’ nannies are eating with them because that’s just the way both Saif and I have addressed it, because Taimur has asked and Jeh is already asking, ‘Why are you sitting there? Sit here’.” If her sons are eating, and the nannies are hungry, they all eat together.

Kareena further emphasized, “This is the rule of the house because they look after my children. They are looking after them, when I am working and they have to get the respect that Saif and I have. We are all together most of the time and we travel together. They look after my children like their own and that is something that I cannot… I can’t just oversee that.”

Kareena and Saif Ali Khan tied the knot in Mumbai in October 2012 and welcomed Taimur Ali Khan in 2016. They had Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh, in 2021. The family resides in Mumbai.

Kareena is preparing to make her debut on the OTT platform with “Jaane Jaan,” director Sujoy Ghosh’s Hindi adaptation of the popular Japanese novel “Devotion of Suspect X,” scheduled for release on September 21. The film also features Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Additionally, she has director Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film “The Buckingham Murders,” set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2023.

Kareena also has “The Crew” in the works, featuring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh in leading roles. It’s a comedy set in the struggling airline industry, where three women find themselves in a web of lies. Kapil Sharma will make a special cameo appearance. The film is set to hit theaters on March 22, 2024.

On Monday morning, Netflix India unveiled a fresh film poster, showcasing Vijay Varma’s character. The poster portrays Vijay Verma in an intense pose within a dimly lit room, with a green board in the background displaying a link chart. He is dressed in a dark green jacket over a shirt. The caption of the post reads, “Put your detective hats on and get ready to connect the dots #JaaneJaan trailer out TOMORROW!” Fans expressed their excitement upon the release of the poster, with comments like “Okay, time to solve another mystery” and “Let’s become Sherlock Holmes to solve this case.” The “Jaane Jaan” trailer will be released digitally the following day.

According to the reports, “Jaane Jaan” will also be attached to Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan,” which is set to hit theaters on September 7th. Fans can look forward to watching the “Jaane Jaan” trailer on the big screen.

Sujoy Ghosh recently discussed the casting choices of Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay in the film. He mentioned that when he initially acquired the rights to the film, he kept it a secret. Kareena later contacted him expressing her desire to be part of such a film. Ghosh explained how perfectly Kareena fit the role of Maya in the story, saying it felt like fate.

He also highlighted the instant connection between Jaideep and Vijay and how well they embodied the characters of Naren and Karan in “Jaane Jaan.” Their camaraderie and chemistry were evident from the beginning, and Ghosh found it remarkable that they were actually classmates.

“Jaane Jaan” is a cat-and-mouse thriller revolving around Maya, Naren, and Karan (played by Kareena, Jaideep, and Vijay) as they race to uncover and conceal the truth. The film is scheduled to stream on Netflix starting September 21, 2023.

The Vijay Varma and actor Tamannaah Bhatia relationship has been the talk of the town for a while. On his social media posts, he has given her nicknames, and a video of the two of them ringing in the New Year has also gone viral. She finally confronts the rumors now.

She tells us as she speaks with us, “We made a movie together. Such rumors are persistent. There’s no need to explain each one in detail. I’m at a loss for words at this point.

In the interim, Tamannaah Bhatia has solidified her position 18 years after she began her acting career with the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. Happily, a female actor can now have a long career, and she is pleased about this.

“I adore how the scenario has completely shifted. I recognize Tabu and Kareena (Kapoor Khan), two celebrities I grew up admiring. I have a crush on Tabu, who I love more than anyone. I want all of our ladies to be like this, no matter their age. They reimagined themselves and appeared in a variety of roles that female actors had not previously attempted. It is also my goal, the 33-year-old continued.

The idea that a female performer has a “peak” and then experiences a fall in her career is ludicrous, according to Bhatia. “I never gave in to what people believed I should be doing, especially in a female actor’s career, time and time again. They want you to give up and declare “this is enough,” and that is frequently when your career peaks. A peak is awful to have. You touch it, and then you immediately descend the top, she says matter-of-factly.

She has noticed one thing over the course of these 18 years: there are significantly more rumors about female actresses than about their male counterparts. In actuality, the performer had amusingly dispelled rumors that she was engaged to a businessman by dressing up as a guy and introducing the avatar as the relevant businessman. “Females get married a lot before we truly get married, I don’t know why it happens! Every Friday, when we get married, someone says, “Oh, you’re still not married!” I’m continually being set up for marriage with all different kinds of men, including businessmen and doctors. I feel like I’ve been married too many times already, so I’m not sure what will happen if I actually do! Can people be excited anymore. People will think it is another speculation!,” laughs Bhatia.

Kareena Kapoor said ‘you have to wear your age proudly’, when questioned about ageism in Bollywood in a recent interview. The star claimed that in the past, getting married was the “greatest taboo” for female actors. She claimed that is now changing, though. The actor also discussed how, as a working mother, she takes decisions by declining offers when she does not want to leave her children alone.
In 2012, Kareena Kapoor wed Saif Ali Khan, who had previously been wed to star Amrita Singh. In 2016, Taimur Ali Khan was born into their family, and in 2021, Jehangir Ali Khan was born. Kareena recounted how, at one point, marriage was seen as the end of a female actor’s career in a recent interview.

When asked if ageism in Bollywood was finally changing, Kareena responded, “I think so,” to Harper’s Bazaar India. You must be proud of your age. Today’s women are more courageous. The biggest taboo for female actors was to get married, but nowadays, your marital status doesn’t matter for your job. Filmmakers are increasingly willing to take chances, work on unconventional scripts, and give new people a chance. It all comes down to having and projecting confidence in the end.

Kareena also discussed finding “work-life balance” while being a working mother. She declared, “I don’t think there is a formula or a secret to establishing work-life balance. Anything you choose to do or not do is entirely up to you. Because I don’t feel like leaving my kids alone or because I don’t want to be seen at an awards presentation, I want to be free to say no to the things that I don’t want to do. I want the option to pick because I prefer to relax at home with my hubby while watching a movie or sipping wine. One of the biggest adjustments I’ve personally undergone is that. I must make a decision.

In addition to numerous other movies, Kareena has been in 3 Idiots (2009), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), and Jab We Met (2007). She is currently working on her next project, The Crew. Rhea Kapoor supports the movie, which also stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Hansal Mehta’s forthcoming film is one of Kareena’s upcoming ventures. Sujoy Ghosh’s Devotion of Suspect X, starring Kareena and making her OTT debut, is also anticipated to release this year.
