Sonakshi Sinha has opened up about her bond with her brothers, Luv and Kush, amid speculation about their absence from her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal last year. Their no-show sparked rumors of a family rift, with many believing the brothers disapproved of the marriage.
In an interview with Hauterrfly, Sonakshi reflected on their childhood, admitting they often had “hathapai (fist fights).” She explained, “Main sabse choti, ghar ki ladki, sabse laadli, toh bhaiyonn ko jalan toh hoti thi toh mujhe padti thi (I was the youngest sibling, the most adored. So my brothers were jealous and would beat me up).”
Meanwhile, their father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, addressed the matter in an interview with Retro Lehren. He refrained from discussing why his sons skipped the wedding but acknowledged their feelings. “I won’t complain. They are only humans. They maybe still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion,” he said, adding, “Here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience comes in place.”
Luv later broke his silence on Instagram, dismissing speculation. “Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me, my family will always come first,” he wrote.
Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in a civil ceremony at her Bandra residence on June 23, 2024, after seven years of dating.
