Court cancels non-bailable arrest warrant of Sher Afzal Marwat

RAWALPINDI: Judicial Magistrate Rawalpindi canceled the non-bailable arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader and Member National Assembly(MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat.

Judicial Magistrate Dr Muhammad Mumtaz Hanjara heard the application against Sher Afzal Marwat’s non-bailable arrest warrant.

It was argued in the application that the challan of the case of Sher Afzal Marwat was not presented to the court, the arrest warrant was issued after the departure of Sher Afzal Marwat abroad.

The judicial magistrate canceled the non-bailable arrest warrant of the member of the National Assembly after hearing the arguments of Sher Afzal Marwat’s lawyer.

Sher Afzal Marwat is accused of construction without approval on a plot near Thalian Motorway, a case was registered against Sher Afzal Marwat in 2019 in Naseerabad police station.

Mahmood Achakzai’s  arrest warrant suspended

QUETTA: A judicial magistrate of Quetta has been suspended arrest warrant of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

Earlier, Judicial Magistrate had issued an arrest warrant for Mahmood Khan Achakzai, chairman of PkMAP.

Today, the investigating officer(IO) informed the court that there has been a non-compliance of the warrant by the head of the PkMAP.

The Judicial Magistrate suspended the arrest warrant of Mehmood Khan Achakzai until the next hearing and fixed the hearing of the case on May 31.

It may be remembered that the district administration registered a case against Mahmood Achakzai on March 11 for deter public servant from discharge of duty.

Court approves Asad Qaiser’s bail application

MARDAN: The local court accepted the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) leader and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.

PTI leader Asad Qaiser’s bail application was heard in the court of the Judicial Magistrate of Mardan, in which the court granted the bail of the former speaker of the National Assembly against a surety bond of Rs 90,000.

It should be noted that on December 2, the court of Mardan accepted the bail application of PTI leader Asad Qaiser and issued an order for his release, but he was arrested by the police once again. Asad Qaiser is currently imprisoned in Central Jail Mardan.

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court rejected the police’s plea for physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry in a case related to using threatening language against the Election Commission of Pakistan’s members.

The police produced PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry in the court of the Judicial Magistrate after completing the two-day physical remand.

At the beginning of the hearing, the prosecutor said that Fawad Chaudhry was trying to create hatred and unrest against the constitutional institution and his statement was creating a threat to the lives of Election Commission workers.

On this occasion, the prosecutor requested for more physical remand and it was told that the voice matching of Fawad Chaudhry has been done, and now he has to undergo his photogrammetry test from Lahore, for which more physical remand is required.

He said that threatening language has been used against the Chief Election Commissioner, and caretaker Chief Minister and physical remand is very necessary for further investigation of this case.
