ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad acquitted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and others in two long march vandalism cases.
Judicial Magistrate Sessions Court Shehzad Khan also acquitted Shah Mahmood Qureshi , Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Shireen Mazari , Ali Nawaz Awan, Faisal Javed, Saifullah Niazi, Qasim Suri and Raja Khurram Nawaz in Long March vandalism case.
The cases against Khan and other politicians were registered in the Kohsar and Karachi Company police stations for violation of Section 144.
The court’s verdict came during the hearing of acquittal pleas filed by the PTI founder and other politicos.
Talking to the media on the occasion of court appearance, Sheikh Rasheed said that democracy is suffering from serious problems and the government is unpopular.
The head of Awami Muslim League said that the common man should think, there is anxiety in the country which will increase the problems of democracy.
