PDM Jalsa: Opposition rally will be like wedding reception: Faisal Javed

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Faisal Javed has said that the opposition rally (PDM Jalsa) will be like a wedding reception.

Commenting on the opposition rally in Gujranwala, Javed said that the government has no problem with it but in fact, the government is enjoying it.

The good thing about the PDM jalsa is that the seats are arranged according to the SOPs, Javed highlighted.

PTI leader said that eleven parties are against one Imran Khan. A 34-point reconciliation ordinance has been sent through Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

‘PM will not give NRO to any opposition party’, says Sheikh Rasheed

Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said Pakistan Army has played a key role in maintaining integrity, sovereignty and peace, and development of the country.

Speaking to media in Lahore on Saturday, he said that external forces are engaged in hatching conspiracies against Pakistan Army and destabilising the country.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a clear message to the opposition that he will not give NRO to anyone.

“The military is the democracy, economy and stability of the country, it will not permit to spread lawlessness at any cost,” the federal minister said.

He said the chapter of the politics of Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has been closed.

Commenting on the current political situation, the railway minister said, “Nawaz Sharif won’t return from London and the People’s Party would not resign (from assemblies), at any cost.”

He said the opposition parties have the right to hold public meetings but they won’t be allowed to take the law in their hands. He expressed fear of terrorism threat and spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Prime Minister Imran Khan says the ruling elite class has caused irreparable losses to the national economy through plunder and corruption during their tenures.

Addressing a seminar of All Pakistan Insaf Lawyers Forum in Islamabad, he said giving a call for public gatherings against the government is aimed to cover up corruption.

The Prime Minister said the opposition parties made every tactic to get the country blacklisted by the Financial Action Task Force as they pressured the government to carry out 34 amendments in the National Accountability Bureau law.

He said the cabinet had given a nod for allowing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief to get medical treatment abroad in view of a number of diseases as claimed.

However, by denying to return to the country, Nawaz Sharif is proving that he belongs to a “special class that could not be questioned”.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said a new wave of NAB action against PML-N has been launched and accused the government of planning pre-poll rigging in the upcoming general election in Gilgit-Baltistan.

While addressing a news conference in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal said that PML-N in the first four years of its tenure set a world record by generating 11,000 MW of electricity. Economic growth had reached 6% during PML-N tenure, but today Pakistan has become the weakest economy in South Asia with a negative growth rate.

The former interior minister said that Pakistan is facing serious threats today but government ministers are acting irresponsibly and giving rise to the crisis with their statements. The PML-N leader also said that every word and sentence of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is important for the party and is considered political doctrine.

Attempts are being made to suppress voices of the opposition with threats, he added. He also claimed that PTI was won the election through the failure of RTS system and the majority of the opposition was turned into a minority.

In addition to this, plans regarding the distribution of gas had been discussed during the briefing.

Apart from that, reconstruction of Board of Fisheries Harbor Authority, PIA’s RPT, and Aerial work and charter license renewal was discussed.

The appointment of the Chairman of the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources was also a part of the Cabinet agenda.

Moreover, approval had been given for the appointment of CEO of USF Company under the Ministry of IT.
