PML-N will introduce reforms in judicial system: Kh Saad Rafique

PML-N will
  • He said quick and doubtless justice will be provided to people.
  • PML-N leader said tax-net would be expanded without putting burden.
  • He said that the PML-N would work for the common man instead of rich.

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will introduce reforms in the judicial system of the country for quick and doubtless justice to people after coming to power.

Addressing an organisational meeting of the PML-N in his constituency, he said that it was a responsibility of the parliament to provide swift justice to the common man. He said that if the PML-N got an opportunity, such a judicial system would be introduce through legislation in which favoritism would not have any place.

The minister said that the PML-N would also introduce a revolutionary economic framework for which the PML-N was needed the support of people and it was not possible in just six months. In the new economic framework, tax-net would be expanded without putting burden on the poor and deprived citizens of the country. The government structure would be reduced and expenditures of all government institutions would be decreased, he promised.

He said that the PML-N would work for the common man instead of the rich, adding that he was part of the current democratic system for changing the system. “This democratic system of billionaires cannot run the country progressively,” he added.

The minister said that the election had become a commercial activity, as political parties did not give tickets to political workers if they did not have resources to contest elections. He said that the political parties were not well organised and it was a responsibility of political parties and their leaderships to introduce a democratic culture in their parties and allow political workers to come forward. “We will continue to raise our voice for the rights of workers in parties,” he pledged. He disclosed that the PML-N supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was coming to the country soon to lead the nation. He asked party workers to realise their responsibilities and link themselves with the issues of the common man.

Elections should be held simultaneously in Pakistan: Saad Rafiq

Elections should
  • He said separate elections will create further division.
  • He said PML-N fought the elections even in the worst conditions.
  • Saad Rafiq said KP and Punjab assemblies dissolved without any reason.

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said that it is his personal opinion that elections should be held simultaneously across the country because separate elections will lead to further division.

Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq while talking to the media in Lahore said that the observance of the constitution is in place but elections have been postponed on different occasions in this country.

He said that the purpose of delaying the elections is not that PML-N wants to run away from the elections, while PML-N fought the elections even in the worst conditions.

He further said that no party of PDM runs away from the election because these are old parties and have contested the election many times in which they keep winning but losing but the country cannot be subjected to any more crisis.

The federal minister said, “If accept the demand of next general election than they would start demanding the removal of election commission while that institution is created under the constitution which is protected by the constitution.”

He said that this is the nature of Imran Khan, if one thing is accepted, he puts forward another demand, if another is accepted, another demand comes forward.

He said that elections should be held in the country at one time, it is not a game and the second thing is that the constitution has given the authority to the leader of the parliament that he can dissolve the assembly but it cannot be done by an individual without reason.

He said that the assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab were dissolved without any reason, which is being ordered by a person who has no constitutional status and his statement in this regard is on record.
