Actor Aamir Khan has drawn comparisons between Khushi Kapoor and her late mother, the legendary Sridevi, after watching the rough cut of Khushi’s upcoming film Loveyapa. Speaking to ANI, Aamir described himself as a “huge fan of Sridevi” and revealed his admiration for her artistry, saying, “I always wanted to work with her.”

The actor shared his thoughts on Loveyapa, which also stars his son, Junaid Khan. Aamir said, “I watched the rough cut of the film, and I really liked it. It’s very entertaining, showcasing how cell phones impact our lives in intriguing ways. All the actors have performed exceptionally well. Watching Khushi on screen, I felt like I was seeing Sridevi. Her energy and presence reminded me of her mother. I’m a massive fan of Sridevi and her immense talent.”

Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies on Netflix in 2023.

Directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa is a romantic comedy slated for release on February 7. The film promises a blend of love, complications, and humor, making it a cinematic treat for audiences.

Sonya Hussyn, the renowned Pakistani actress, recently shared her heartfelt admiration for Bollywood legend Sridevi after a fan compared her to the late icon. Responding to a comment on Instagram that read,

“One remembers Sridevi when looking at you,” Sonya humbly replied, “We can never compete with her legacy. She was one of a kind, truly an iconic actress, but I am so grateful and humbled.”

In a previous interview, Sonya revealed that she had been offered a film alongside Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, but the project fell through due to strained relations between India and Pakistan following the Uri attack. She also disclosed that she was approached for two other Indian films, including an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure and a sequel to a classic Bollywood film.

The Tich Button star further shared her thoughts on her ideal co-star, naming Ali Zafar as her top choice for a future project. On her perspective about relationships, Sonya expressed her preference for not marrying an actor, stating, “Actors are self-obsessed. I think self-obsession should only be in one of us. When you’re so into yourself, you can’t pay attention to the other person.”

When she acted in the 2005 film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, she was barely 15 years old. Following that, she went on to appear in a number of Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, winning various awards. Tamannaah has gone a long way in her profession, and there will be no turning back for her! An old video of Tamannaah speaking about securing her first film deal at the age of 13 is now becoming popular on social media.

Tamannaah said in an interview that she used to idolize actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi when she was little. “All I knew was that I wanted to be like them.” “I didn’t have a plan, and I didn’t know how I was going to get there, but I had this very strong desire to be a performer, and being a performer was not something I wanted to be because ‘oh it’s cool’ or ‘these amazing stars are doing it,” she explained.

She went on to say that even as a child, she would tell friends at birthday parties that she wanted to perform alone. She would attend every occasion, whether it was a birthday party or an audition, and give her all. She also recalled her first ad advertisement appearing during her board test, forcing her to make a decision. “It came up in my board exam, and I had the choice of leading that ad film or giving my boards.” I had to make a decision. “Of course, I chose to do both because why wouldn’t I?” she explained.

The acclaimed Bollywood producer talked up for the first time about his wife’s terrible passing in an exclusive interview.

“It was not a natural death; it was an accidental death,” Kapoor admitted.

During the interview, the 67-year-old recalled his never-ending grilling as he was accused of being implicated in Sridevi’s death by Indian media.

“I had made the decision not to speak about it because I had spoken about it for nearly 24 or 48 hours when I was being investigated and interrogated.” “That’s how I got a clean bill of health from the Dubai police,” he added.

During the Dubai police investigation into her death, the father-of-four stated he was subjected to a battery of examinations, including a lie detector test.

“I went through all of the tests, including lie detector tests and everything else.” “Of course, the report that came clearly stated it was accidental death by drowning,” the producer added.

According to rumours, the acclaimed Bollywood actress died in 2018 after drowning in a bathtub at a Dubai hotel.

In 1996, Sridevi married Boney Kapoor. Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor are their two daughters.

Janhvi is the child of late actor Sridevi and director Boney Kapoor. In a recent interview, she stated that while she is aware of the attention her family receives, ultimately she wants to be recognised for her work.

“I know people are waiting to point a finger at me. But you can’t take it to your head. Relevance isn’t permanent. Whatever attention I am getting today at the start, it was because of my parents. Even now, a great deal of it, is because of the family I am born into. And maybe a little bit now, I’d like to think is because of the work I am doing. That’s what it comes down to it – work. It doesn’t come down to the shorts that I wore to the gym. Those aren’t the things I want to be known for.” continued Janhvi.

On the eve of the anniversary of Sridevi’s passing, Boney Kapoor reminisced about her. The iconic star passed away on February 24 of that year. He released private photos of them that had never been seen before, candid photos, and even a video from an event when he talked about falling in love with her on Instagram.
Boney shared a black and white photo of Sridevi wearing a traditional outfit and remarked, “My first picture was 1984.” Boney posted a another image of Sridevi kissing him on the cheek and captioned it, “Just expressing.” Boney published a secret photo of the two of them kissing at home on Instagram Stories along with the caption, “Home.” “Shy and reclusive at the moment she found love.”

Boney has been remembering Sridevi five years after her passing by posting photos of her online recently. “You left us five years ago. Your love and memories will keep us going and will remain with us forever,” he had written under a straightforward image of the actor.

A few days ago, Janhvi Kapoor also uploaded a photo of herself and Sridevi attending an event and sitting in the crowd. “I still seek for you everywhere, Mumma. I still do everything in the hopes of making you proud,” she wrote as the caption. You are the beginning and the conclusion of everything I do and wherever I go.

After attending a family wedding, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor checked into a hotel in Dubai, where Sridevi drowned in a bathtub. Boney had said during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show about her untimely death at the age of 54: “When she passed away, when I was in Dubai for those 3–4 days, I had so much of an urge because I was all alone in distress, tension, anxiety, and all those things; that was the only time I felt like smoking. But after that, I confessed, I wanted to smoke as soon as she left. I won’t if I actually love her. So I refrained then, and I haven’t touched since. I’ve never felt the need, too.

Boney Kapoor, Sridevi’s husband, and her two daughters Janhvi and Khushi are all still alive. Khushi will make her screen debut this year with the movie The Archies, but Janhvi’s first movie, Dhadak, came out months after she passed away.
