LAHORE: An accountability court in Lahore extended the interim bail of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Haroon Yousaf till January 23.

Judge of Accountability Court No. 9 heard Haroon Yusuf’s pre-arrest bail application.

PM’s son-in-law Haroon Yousaf appeared before the court for an extension in interim bail and pleaded to be made part of the investigation as the NAB deliberately kept the facts under the carpet.

During, today’s hearing, the NAB sought time from the court for the submission of an answer.

Court extended PM’s son-in-law’s interim bail until January 23.

It is to be mentioned here that a case has been under hearing at the accountability court against the prime minister’s son-in-law Haroon Yousaf Aziz.

The bench restrained the NAB from the arrest of Haroon Yousaf Aziz.

Haroon Yousaf, PM Shehbaz’s son Suleman, and daughter were declared absconders by the court for avoiding their appearance in the case proceedings.

Actress Nadia Jamil has led the charge in pushing for improved circumstances for orphaned children, giving those who are sold into prostitution or beg a loud voice. The actress used her Twitter account today to inform fans that a demonstration against child sexual abuse and neglect will take place on Liberty Roundabout in Lahore at 11 a.m. on January 5. Her message said:

“Tomorrow is #Jan5th Please tag as many Lahores as you can,2 ask them 2 show up @ Liberty Market Roundabout @ 11am. We are walking 2 #SayNoToChildAbuse Be part of the solution. Silence encourages the crime! Give a voice 2 children who have no voice. Step out of your comfort zone.”

The actress has continuously used her social media platform to inform her fans about children’s rights, emphasising the significance of parents seeking mental health evaluation and counselling before deciding to have children.

Jamil said that her personal experience of being sexually abused as a child motivated her to raise awareness about child sexual abuse and to push for improved laws protecting children. She expressed her desire to be more responsible and look out for the kids in her immediate vicinity.

Nadia Jamil said in a Twitter post that she had experienced sexual assault as a kid and that it had taken her two years to overcome the grief and melancholy she felt as a result. However, she has since recovered and is now flourishing.

LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested five terrorists from Lahore belonging to banned organization.

According to the details, the suspects arrested in the CTD operation include a banned organisation  commander. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Farooq Shah, Saifullah, Syed Shahzeb, Ahmed Khan and Asrar Ahmed.

The arrested terrorist had already planned to carry out an attack in sensitive districts.

The CTD officials recovered suicide jackets, explosives, guns, ammunition and literature pertaining to terror activities were recovered from the five suspects.

In the last week, 21,000 went through security checks in 504 combing operations and 153 suspected terrorists were arrested. Whereas 67 kidnapped people were also released.

Eelier on December 17, CTD Punjab arrested 12 suspects allegedly belonged to banned organizations during raids conducted in different areas of the province.

CTD Punjab has conducted operations against terrorists in various districts including Lahore.

During these operations, 12 suspected persons belonging to banned organizations have been arrested. The CTD also recovered explosives, electric switches, detonator safety fuses and weapons from the alleged terrorists.

According to the details, smog has once again set up camp in Lahore. The highest air quality index rate was recorded on Ferozepur Road.

According to the report of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the average air quality index of the city has been recorded as 204.

The air quality index rate of 330 has been recorded in the FC College area of ​​Lahore, but currently, the highest air quality index rate is 446 in the vicinity of Ferozepur Road. The pollution rate in the defence area is 246 and 394 in the Shimla hills.

According to the classification, pollution from 151 to 200 levels is harmful to health, while pollution from 201 to 300 levels is counted as extremely harmful to health.

Keep in mind that levels above 301 indicate hazardous pollution and health experts have advised respiratory and asthma patients to be cautious.

Smog is an air pollution that is formed by the emission of harmful gases in the air and the combination of dust particles in the air.

It is a type of air pollution also known as photochemical smog and is produced when other toxic particles such as nitrogen oxides react with sunlight.

During these operations, 12 suspected persons belonging to banned organizations have been arrested. The CTD also recovered explosives, electric switches, detonator safety fuses and weapons from the alleged terrorists.

CTD has registered eight cases against the alleged terrorists in different cities of the province.

It should be noted that among those arrested are Muhammad Arif, who belongs to the banned organization Daesh, along with Zakirullah, Khurram Ali, Irfan Khan, Javed Khan, Basir Khan, Adam Khan and Zahid Khan.
