Nadia Jamil’s House Faces Severe Waterlogging After Heavy Rainfall

Amidst the unprecedented rainfall in Lahore, Pakistani actress Nadia Jamil’s house faced severe waterlogging, with the exterior of the property being submerged in water.

Nadia Jamil took to Twitter to share videos of her house, revealing that the front porch was completely inundated. She expressed concern for her 76-year-old mother who was “trapped” inside, highlighting the inability to enter or exit the house.

As the rain persisted, Jamil expressed the fear that if it continued for another hour, the water would enter the house. She mentioned her brother wading through chest-deep water to provide food for the children and their mother in the staff quarters.

Taking to Instagram, Jamil described the situation in Lahore during the heavy rains and shared a video sent by someone else. She expressed worry for her mother’s predicament and the need to navigate through the sewerage water for groceries, particularly due to their proximity to the overflowing Ganda Nala.

Jamil also expressed sympathy for those living in shanty towns and low-lying areas near open sewerage canals, who are vulnerable to waterborne diseases such as typhoid. She raised awareness about Naegleria fowleri, an amoeba that causes a brain-eating virus, advising people to swim only in chlorinated water and avoid inhaling water through the nose.

On Twitter, Jamil shared the challenges she faced, regretting not being able to reach her mother after staying at a friend’s place the previous night. She expressed frustration over the situation, emphasizing that the water surrounding her house was highly toxic sewerage water from the Ganda Nala.

She tagged several authorities, including the Prime Minister and local government officials, urging them to take responsibility for the city and its citizens. The heavy rainfall in Lahore has already resulted in the loss of seven lives.

Actress Nadia Jamil has led the charge in pushing for improved circumstances for orphaned children, giving those who are sold into prostitution or beg a loud voice. The actress used her Twitter account today to inform fans that a demonstration against child sexual abuse and neglect will take place on Liberty Roundabout in Lahore at 11 a.m. on January 5. Her message said:

The actress has continuously used her social media platform to inform her fans about children’s rights, emphasising the significance of parents seeking mental health evaluation and counselling before deciding to have children.

Jamil said that her personal experience of being sexually abused as a child motivated her to raise awareness about child sexual abuse and to push for improved laws protecting children. She expressed her desire to be more responsible and look out for the kids in her immediate vicinity.

She is currently active on social media and loves to speak out about social concerns. Today, a Twitter user teased Nadia Jamil over a disagreement and joked about her cancer, writing, “Cancer seems to have badly affected your already small brain. Take some time off & spend it for improvement of your mental health. Thankyou.”

Nadia Jamil retweeted this and, after becoming emotional, she responded to the offensive and cruel remark. “Cancer left me with chemo induced diabetes. I was in coma for four days because I got sepsis. I have permanent chemo caused nerve damage in my right foot. My children suffered. My mother suffered. My marriage suffered. So don’t ever casually remark to me, what cancer left me with,” she wrote.

The Twitter users were outraged after reading the exchange of Tweets, and many of them decided to support Nadia Jamil. Nearly everyone denounced the insensitive comment posted by the Twitter user, and many of them respected Nadia Jamil’s fortitude and her path. One supporter remarked that Nadia Jamil is a fighter and prayed to Allah to keep everyone healthy. They all implored her to maintain her resolve. The hater was exposed by them.
