Mahesh Bhatt recently spoke with Arbaaz Khan and discussed his fight with drinking. The director related an incident in which he became so inebriated that he spent the night on a sidewalk. He recalled how the birth of Shaheen, his second daughter, had altered his circumstances.
On a recent episode of The Invincibles, Mahesh Bhatt was the guest of Arbaaz Khan. He described an occasion when he and his older brother Salman Khan had to leave the boy off at home. Dad claimed he had to go home, but you were so inebriated. We made an effort to cab you home. You lost track of your residence. We were laughing while feeling humiliated. After that, you turned around completely,” Arbaaz told Mahesh.
“One day I woke up and found myself sleeping on the walkway of JVPD plot,” the filmmaker retorted. My face was on the concrete, and morning was just starting to break, in that memory. I came to the realization that I had gone to a party and had slept on the road after collapsing there. I clearly recall arriving at my home after leaving Soni. She spoke. What has transpired? I responded, “I don’t know; I’ve turned into an alcoholic.” A miracle then transpired. Shaheen, my first child, was born with Soni. When I first arrived at the hospital, Shaheen was in my arms, and when I attempted to kiss her, I felt as though she had moved. The smell of was unbearable to her.
