Salman Khan’s Dabangg fight scene is a replication of Sherlock Holmes

  • Dabangg to one from Robert Downey has surfaced on Twitter.
  • The action is identical in both sequences.
  • The cut is ironically labeled the “Bhai of Baker Street”.

A video comparing a battle scene from Salman Khan‘s film Dabangg to one from Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes (2009) has surfaced on Twitter. The action is identical in both sequences, which feature the main actors fighting with their fists and no gloves.

On Twitter, the video was posted with the remark, “Salman Khan moves identically to Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock, no way!” The cut is ironically labelled the “Bhai of Baker Street”. The video demonstrates how much the Guy Ritchie film influenced Dabangg by placing the Guy Ritchie film in 2009 at the top and the Hindi film at the bottom. The boxing techniques are comparable, despite certain changes. Sonu Sood receives a punch from Salman exactly as in the Hollywood movie.

People on Twitter appreciated the fight scene in the original.”The way that scene was placed in Sherlock Holmes was extraordinary superb the fast and slow motion Robert justifying the shot brilliantly.” . A different person stated, “Bollywood baas copy paste pe hi chalta hain, koi originality koi creativity nehi (Bollywood only works on copy paste, there is no originality or creativity).”

Salman had previously spoken to Open magazine about his character Chulbul Pandey, who carries out his wishes exactly.”I had a gut feeling that it was an amazing character. It had all the shades. He’s angry, a comedian, a romantic and it’s all well woven together. He’s difficult, yet lovable. People want to be him. You laugh with him, you feel good when he’s angry and when he takes bribes, it doesn’t matter.”

The movie, which was directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap, debuted Salman as the legendary Chulbul Pandey. With this movie, Sonakshi Sinha made her acting debut. The cast also included Arbaaz Khan, Salman‘s brother, Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Vinod Khanna, Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mahie Gill, and Sonu. Arbaaz contributed as a producer to the movie.
