LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief organizer Maryam Nawaz submitted nomination papers from the NA-120 constituency of Lahore.

On behalf of Maryam Nawaz, her recommender Sohail Shaukat Butt and Khawaja Imran Nazir submitted nomination papers.

It should be noted that 21 candidates have submitted their nominations from Lahore Constituency NA 120 so far.

The returning officer has given the date of December 30 for the scrutiny of the documents.

According to sources, Maryam Nawaz will also participate in the election from the provincial constituency.

ISLAMABAD:  Former governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Abbasi has decided to contest the elections as an independent candidate , parting ways with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N).

Former governor KP Sardar Mehtab Abbasi parted ways with PML-N and decided to contest the election as an independent from NA-16 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, while expressing concerns about the provincial leadership of the PML-N, said that the provincial leadership in KP thinks of itself and the structure of the PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is over.

Former governor KP said that there are differences with Nawaz Sharif  on principale but no differences with Maryam Nawaz. He said there should be democracy in political parties, hypocritical thinking and attitude have become important in PML-N.

He said that Nawaz Sharif has a weak team and solving the economic crisis is difficult. He said today PML-N is limited to Punjab.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP)  have reached an understanding on seat adjustment for upcoming general elections 2024.

The meeting between IPP chief Jahangir Tareen  and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was held at Model Town.

PML-N’s leader Rana Sanaullah, Ayaz Sadiq and IPP senior leader Aun Chaudhry were also present in the meeting.

Sources said that political situation was discussed in the meeting and seat adjustment was also discussed.

Sources said that between PML-N and IPP it was agreed on the seat adjustment.  The decision of seat adjustment will be finalized in next meetings.

The seat adjustment was possible in various regions, including Lahore, Sahiwal, Lodhran, and Rahim Yar Khan, among others.

It should be noted that the leader of the PML-N Nawaz Sharif went to meet the leader of the Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam, Chaudhry Shujaat, at his residence after 15 years.

Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazal ur Rehman met at the PML-N Central Secretariat in Lahore. President PML-N Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Maryam Aurangzeb, and other leaders were also present on this occasion.

During the meeting, the overall situation of the country was discussed while holding general elections, and possible seat adjustments were discussed.

It should be noted that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and the head of PDM Maulana Fazal ur Rehman had a meeting in the past days in which both parties agreed to move forward together.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N(PML-N) has issued a show cause notice to Daniyal Aziz for making a statement against party General Secretary Ahsan Iqbal.

According to PML-N, a show-cause notice has been issued on the statement of Daniyal Aziz on November 30. In the show-cause notice, a written explanation has been sought from Daniyal Aziz within 7 days.

It should be noted that PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz held former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal responsible for inflation during the PDM government.

Ahsan Iqbal was the chairman of the Price Monitoring Committee during the previous government, and there was record-breaking inflation during his tenure.

Reacting in this regard, Ahsan Iqbal said that he does not understand why Daniyal Aziz is speaking the language of Bilawal Bhutto. He rejected the allegations and added that inflation has nothing to do with his ministry.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has demanded that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) provide a level playing field to all political parties in Sindh in the upcoming general elections in 2024.

PML-N Sindh President Bashir Memon along with the delegation met the Chief Election Commissioner.

The Muslim League-N Sindh submitted an application to the Chief Election Commission, in which it has been said that most of the administrative setup of the caretaker government of Sindh is of the People’s Party era, the leaders and ministers of the People’s Party have control over important departments and districts.

It is said in the application that corruption is continuing in the system, departments like health, education, excise, local government, and finance in Sindh are being run under the direction of former ministers. Secretary Services Ghulam Ali is controlling the transfer posting on the instructions of the leaders of the People’s Party.

The local government in Sindh is fully operational and the local government is getting a budget from the caretaker government which is being used to influence the election process. The election campaign of the People’s Party, including rallies and rallies, is being carried out by the local government.

PML-N has demanded that the Election Commission intervene and conduct an investigation so that everyone in Sindh gets equal opportunities. The investigation should not include the officers or members of the Provincial Election Commission of Sindh because they also have close ties with the previous Sindh government.

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has formed a 35-member Central Parliamentary Board for the upcoming elections in 2024.

Leader of Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif approved the Central Parliamentary Board and Chairman Central Election Cell Ishaq Dar issued a notification on the approval of Nawaz Sharif.

The members include Khawaja Asif, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Ahsan Iqbal, Hamza Shahbaz, Ameer Muqam, Rana Sanaullah, Javed Latif, Pervaiz Rasheed, Muhammad Safdar and Bashir Memon.

The Central Parliamentary Board of the PML-N will decide to award party tickets to the candidates in the elections.

On the other hand, the Divisional Co-ordination Committee of Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has started interviews for party tickets.

The coordination committee of the Rawalpindi Division includes Pervez Rasheed, Malik Abrar, Tahira Aurangzeb, and Atta Tarar, which has started interviewing the candidates for the election.

The coordination committee will complete the interviews of the candidates by November 29 for ticket distribution

The interviews of PML-N candidates for 2 national and 5 provincial seats of Attock have been completed, while the divisional coordinator of the committee, Pervez Rasheed, will conduct the interviews of the candidates today.

LAHORE The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) accepted the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed.

ATC heard the case against Sanam Javed for burning the office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on May 9, in which the court accepted the PTI worker’s bail application.

The court ordered the release of the accused on a surety bond of Rs 200,000. The court rejected the bail application of co-accused Taj Mohammad and Mohammad Tanveer.

The accused are suspects of burning the PML-N office in Model Town on May 9. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Muhammad Arshad Javed heard the case.

During the hearing, the lawyer of the accused said that her client is under custody in the case of burning the office of PML-N, his bail has been approved in two cases.

On Friday, the Lahore High Court sought an answer from the IG Police Punjab for not releasing Sanam Javed Khan despite being granted bail.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi had heard the contempt of court case of the accused in which it was said that the IG said in the report that there was no case against the petitioner except for two cases but in both cases he was not released despite bail.

Sources said that the two leaders agreed that everyone would play their role together to save the state. The two leaders also agreed to take important decisions to provide relief to the people and the economic difficulties.

PPP sources have said that the two leaders have invited each other for a meeting and there is a possibility of a meeting soon.

The two parties were also coalition partners in the last Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)-led government, which was formed after the ouster of former prime minister Imran Khan from power.

It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif returned home after four years this morning. The former prime minister’s plane landed at Islamabad International Airport where former federal ministers Ishaq Dar and Azam Nazir Tarar welcomed the party leader.

Nawaz Sharif had a consultation with the legal team of the Muslim League (N) in the state lounge at the airport after which he signed the legal documents. He signed a petition to revive appeals against conviction in the Avonfield and Al-Azizia references, his biometric certificate was also taken.

Nawaz Sharif stayed at Islamabad Airport for about two hours and later Nawaz Sharif reached Lahore on a special flight where workers including Shahbaz Sharif welcomed him.

Nawaz Sharif left for the Minar e Pakistan by helicopter from Lahore Airport. A helipad was built for his helicopter at Diwan Khas near the Shahi Fort, Nawaz Sharif offered prayers after getting off the helicopter.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned home after 4 years where he is now addressing a rally at Minar e Pakistan.

He also acknowledged the support and love he received from the people, emphasizing that he never harmed them and, in fact, worked tirelessly to address their issues. He expressed his deep affection for the warm reception he received and highlighted the enduring nature of this relationship.

He underlined his role in nation-building, including Pakistan’s nuclear program. He questioned why there was a pattern of separating him from the nation every few years.

He expressed regret over the baseless legal cases brought against him, as well as his brother Shehbaz, daughter Maryam, and other PML-N leaders.

Recalling the painful moment of his daughter Maryam’s arrest in front of him while he was in prison, Sharif emphasized that the agony of that experience is unforgettable. He expressed his desire for employment opportunities and prosperity in the country, hoping that every home would be filled with happiness and light.

The PML-N supremo clarified that he holds no desire for revenge in his heart, acknowledging that the wounds run deep and will take time to heal. He expressed his goodwill towards the nation, wishing for the well-being of its people.
