Sardar Mehtab Abbasi quits PML-N

  • He will contest election as independent candidate from NA-16.
  • Abbasi said structure of PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is ended.
  • Former Governor said PML-N is limited to Punjab province.

ISLAMABAD:  Former governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Abbasi has decided to contest the elections as an independent candidate , parting ways with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N).

Former governor KP Sardar Mehtab Abbasi parted ways with PML-N and decided to contest the election as an independent from NA-16 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, while expressing concerns about the provincial leadership of the PML-N, said that the provincial leadership in KP thinks of itself and the structure of the PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is over.

Former governor KP said that there are differences with Nawaz Sharif  on principale but no differences with Maryam Nawaz. He said there should be democracy in political parties, hypocritical thinking and attitude have become important in PML-N.

He said that Nawaz Sharif has a weak team and solving the economic crisis is difficult. He said today PML-N is limited to Punjab.

Sardar Mehtab Abbasi decided to bring his separate group from Abbottabad in the election and said that independent candidates would be fielded on the seats of the National and Provincial Assembly. He said Abbottabad has two National Assembly seats and four provincial seats.
