KARACHI: Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar took oath of office on Thursday.

Who is Caretaker Chief Minister Justice Maqbool Baqar

Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar Born in 1957 and belongs to Karachi.  Maqbool Baqar completed his LLB from University of Karachi and joined the Bar in 1981.

Maqbool Baqar was appointed as a judge of Sindh High Court in 2002 and then as Chief Justice of Sindh High Court in 2013.

Justice (r) Maqbool Baqar named as Caretaker CM Sindh

KARACHI: The deadlock between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) over the appointment of the caretaker chief minister of Sindh has ended.

Sources claim that MQM and PPP have agreed on a candidate. MQM Coordination Committee has agreed on the name of Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar.

Maqbool Baqar was given by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and opposition leader Rana Ansar from MQM suggested Justice (r) on the advice of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). The name of Maqbool Baqar has been approved.

It is expected that Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar will take oath tomorrow. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori will administrate the oath from Maqbool Baqar.
Opposition leader Rana Ansar has reached the Chief Minister’s House, to formally announce the name Justice (r) Maqbool Baqar.

It should be noted that Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar belongs to Karachi and he started to practice after receiving an LLB degree from the University of Karachi. He was the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court and after that served in the Supreme Court.

Designated Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar said that this is a very important responsibility in difficult situations and he will try to solve people’s problems. He said, “I will play a role to maintain the supremacy of law and constitution”.

This he said while speaking at the contract signing ceremony of Integrated C5ISR Based (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber Security, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) Safe City Project here at the CM House.

He said that the Karachi Safe City Project was not merely the installation of surveillance cameras and adopting technological advancements, but it embodied our collective aspiration for a safer and more secure urban environment. “With the challenges that a rapidly growing city like Karachi faces, it is our duty to ensure that every citizen must feel safe and secure and this project brings us one step closer to achieving that goal,” he said.

THATTA:  Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the establishment of Liaquat University of Medical Sciences’ International Medical College and Technological College in the historical city of Thatta is the fulfillment of another promise the provincial government of PPP had made.

“This college is bound to open new vistas of medical education and employment in the entire Lar region,”.

This he said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly established International Medical College and Technological College by LUMS.

Shah said that the establishment of the International College is a significant milestone to strengthen higher education and healthcare systems. “The concept of the International College is in line with the global economic development based on the `Knowledge economy’. He gave examples of developed countries like the UK and the USA and said that their economy was largely based on their Higher Educational Institutes.

Murad Shah said that the Institute was not only a landmark in the improvement of higher education in Sindh but also has the potential of considerable contribution towards the economic development of the region.

He appreciated the tireless efforts of Vice Chancellor LUMHS and all those who were involved in the planning and execution of this project. Their hard work and dedication made this day a reality.

Media talk: Talking to the media the chief minister announced a compensation of Rs1 million each for those killed in the Hazara Train accident at Sarhari, near Nawabshah. He also announced compensation for the injured, and severely injured at a rate of Rs200,000 and Rs500,000 each.

Every Child within 30minutes of Emergency Care in Sindh: CM

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Sindh is the first province in the country to record a drastic reduction of more than 50 percent in child mortality rate as every child in the province can receive emergency care within 30 minutes.

He was speaking at the ceremony celebrating the expansion of ChildLife Foundation’s telemedicine network to more than 100 hospitals in all tehsils of Sindh at Dow University of Health Sciences.

“We have established 9 emergency rooms and 106 telemedicine satellite centers with ChildLife under the public-private partnership model. As a result, UNICEF supported MICS survey 2021 reports that child mortality in Sindh reduced from 104 to 46 per 1000 live births over 5 years,” said CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah.

He added that the Sindh government passionately believed that high-quality health care was the basic right of every child, thus the Government of Sindh has extended full support to ChildLife.

“This is possible due to the focus of the Sindh government on Child health especially through public-private partnership programs. In 2018, Economist Intelligence Unit rated Sindh as the 6th best in partnerships in Asia”,” said the CM Sindh.

He said that ChildLife is a prime example of using innovations to improve quality and scale and he is impressed with how ChildLife is leveraging the synergy of partnerships to attain increased impact.

“I am excited about what it can achieve. The groundwork has been done; we have achieved significant success, but we have higher aspirations,” said CM Sindh.

“We have saved lives at an unprecedented scale during the Covid pandemic and super floods. The establishment of emergency rooms and telemedicine satellite centers ensures that children living in remote and underserved areas of the province have immediate access to critical medical care. We are proud to cover all tehsils of Sindh with ChildLife’s partnership”.

Iqbal Adamjee, Chairman of ChildLife, said that with the continued support of the Sindh Government and the Health Department, ChildLife is committed to expanding its reach, providing comprehensive and compassionate care to even more communities across Sindh.

CM takes aerial view of Muharram procession

KARACHI:  Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah accompanied by Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon visited Hyderabad, took an aerial view of the 10th Muharram Procession, and then landed at Cantonment Helipad.

The Chief Minister led the main procession at Qadam Gah where he also met with the leaders of the `Shia organizations who had organized the procession and asked them about the security arrangements made in consultation with them. They expressed satisfaction and thanked him for his cooperation and the visit.

The chief minister visited the control room where he was given a detailed briefing about the security arrangements by deputy commissioner Fawad Soomro and DIG Police Pir Mohammad Shah.   The CM was told that there were three Layers of Security – at the Front and Rear Sides of the Main Procession. The connecting streets to the main route of the procession have been sealed. Static rooftop Static police pickets at all Masajid / Madaris situated along the route have been set up.

Mr. Shah was told that 11 designated entry points have been made. The Reserve platoons at three specific points have been deployed. The video recording of the entire event is being recorded through CCTV Control Room.

The Bomb Disposal (BD) has Swept the entire route as well as Qadam Gah Moula and Karabal Dadan Shah. There was close Co-Ordination of the administration with other stakeholders, including district administration, Health Department, Special Branch, WASA, HESCO, and others

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah flew back to Karachi and took an aerial view of the Moharram procession. Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon was accompanied by him. The CM along with Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput visited Command & Control Center at CPO and watched the movement of the procession and the public through different cameras connected with the screens of the control center.

The chief minister officially launched Police App `Talash’. The software application has been designed to identify the culprits, foreign or nationals, dead bodies through their thumb impressions.  The recovered vehicles could also be identified by inserting their engine/chassis number in the app. The App has complete data on the culprits in its store and is also connected with the NADRA.

Sindh cabinet approves Immunization Act

KARACHI:  The provincial cabinet in continuation of the last cabinet meeting discussed and decided on 40 more agenda items on Saturday and took important decisions including approval of the Medico-legal act, Immunization Act in which denial has been made an offense, also approved water policy and upgraded hospitals.

The meeting was chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah here at CM House.

The cabinet discussed and decided on nine agenda items for the health department under which important bills were approved and referred to the assembly. They are as follows:

The health department told the cabinet that presently, the Medicolegal Services in Sindh were unorganized with no service structure, job descriptions, SOPs/Guidelines, Performance Management Framework, and Key Performance Indicators. Consequently, the actors of the Criminal Justice System, namely the Police and Judiciary face problems in prosecution and conviction.

The cabinet was told that Children of Adam, Karachi and the health dept have requested that cabinet may allocate Rs. 1.967 billion as Grant-in-Aid for five years to establish psychiatric facilities at three government Hospitals – Basic Health Unit Dumba Goth, New Urban Health Center Gadap and New Karachi Urban Health Center Goharabad.

There are only five major Psychiatric hospitals to cope with major mental health disorders, depression, autism, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder in Pakistan. Hence, considering the issue, Children of Adam signed a MOU with the Sindh Health Department for creating psychiatric facilities at BHU Dumba Goth, New Urban Health Center Gadap, and New Karachi Urban Health Center Goharabad. The cabinet approved the proposal.

Immunization Act: The main objective of the Sindh Immunization and Epidemic Control Act 2023 is to enact a law to prevent and control epidemic diseases in the province through immunization and vaccination.

Under the Act, the parents or guardians of unprotected persons are responsible to bring them to Vaccination Centre in time to be vaccinated as per provided schedule. If the local authority finds that an unprotected person or parent or guardian has contravened the provisions of this Act, he/she shall deliver a notice to such person, parent or guardian requiring him to comply.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed Local Government and Finance departments to carry out an extensive exercise to resolve the issue of timely payment of salaries and pensions to all the local bodies employees by removing the ghost employees and pensioners.

“I am ready to enhance the share of local bodies by giving them additional funds in Octroi and Zila Tax and other grants but simultaneously the local bodies have to generate their revenues.”

He issues this while presiding over a meeting which was attended by Minister of Local Government Syed Nasir Shah, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, acting Chief Secretary Baqaullah Unar, Secretary Local Government Najam Shah, Secretary Finance Sajid Jamal Abro, Secretary to CM Raheem Shaikh, Special Secretary Finance Shuhab Ansari, and others.

The chief minister said under the Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) he wanted to protect salaries and pensions. “The employees will not perform if they are not paid on time,” he said.

Local Government Minister Nasir Shah told the local councils to have their mechanism to pass their budgets. “When the budgets are passed means funds for salaries, pension, and development works are allocated but even then issues of salaries and pensions crop up,” he said and added his department has started an exercise to post the surplus employees of one town in the news towns created under the SLGO.

Murad Ali Shah directed the local government department to provide the necessary staff for the new downs. “No town should be overstaffed,” he said clearly.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the newly elected representatives of the local bodies have taken over, therefore he has decided to announce the next Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) for the vertical distribution of available resources.

“We have started spade work to design the next PFC and it will be finalized within a month.”

This he said while talking to media just after performing the concluding ceremony of the three-day Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi at his Mazar .

Replying to a question, the CM said that the cabinet had decided to announce the PFC award within a month of the formation of local bodies. “Now the elected representatives of the local bodies have taken over and we are going to form the commission and then the commission decides the formula of the award,” he said and added that his government would financially strengthen the third tier of the government.

It may be noted that the PFC ascertains the share of available resources between provincial and local bodies, generally known as vertical distribution. It also formulates a criterion for the distribution of allocated funds to local government horizontally among different tiers and local councils. This mechanism of distribution is known as Provincial Finance Commission (PFC) Award.

Double salary in local bodies: To another question, the chief minister said that the digitalization of the salaries of the KMC and some other local bodies’ employees has unearthed a large number of employees who were drawing double salaries – from KMC and another provincial department. “This is a crime and punishable under the law,” he said and added his government has decided to dismiss such employees after fulfilling the legal requirements.

Mr. Shah said that similar pension cases have also been found which were being scrutinized and would be dealt with accordingly.

Murad Ali Shah said that he has not received official figures of the digital census. “When I’ll receive them officially, I will be able to comment,” he said.

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that through the applications of science and technology the enduring challenges of poverty, climate change, food insecurity, increasing disease burdens, that Muslim World is facing today, can be handled.

During the last three years Sindh Government has made a significant increase in the grant of the University of Karachi, he said, adding that the provincial government is treating all the public universities in Sindh equally as the government of Sindh has kept education sector at its top priority.

He was speaking at inaugural ceremony of the 24th Conference of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences (IAS) on “Challenges to Promote Science & Technology for Socio-Economic Development in OIC Countries” held at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi.

The inaugural ceremony of the two-day conference (March 7 to 8) was also addressed by the Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, ICCBS Patron-in-Chief and former Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary and others. The message of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi was also recited in the ceremony.

It is pertinent to mention here that the conference is being organized in collaboration with the Islamic World Academy of Sciences, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), and ICCBS, University of Karachi.

Eminent scientists from various countries, especially from the Islamic World, including Jordan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Iran, Palestine, Bangladesh, Morocco, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Germany, USA, Singapore and Australia are attending the conference.

Chief Minister said that Sindh Government had placed the ICCBS in the center of the government science and technology-based initiatives. In the enterprise of science and technology, strong research and development institutions play a key role, he said, adding that this center is an excellent example of strong commitment of our private sector, federal and provincial governments, international donors and our scientists and researchers towards the science and technology-based development in Pakistan.

Prof. Khalid Iraqi observed that the Muslim world had faced numerous challenges, including food, energy and water scarcity, overwhelming disease burden, and huge negative impact of climate extremities.

Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman has emphasized the importance of the linkages between academia and industry, and said that the research output of academia greatly contributed towards the socio-economic development of the country.

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party & Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated Seed `Subsidy Programme:  Reimbursement for wheat Seed’ by pressing a key of the computer and transferred Rs8.39 billion to Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) which started disbursing an amount of Rs5000 per acre to the small growers holding agricultural land up to 12 acres.

The programme was organized by the agriculture department in collaboration with BISP here at the Banquet Hall and was attended by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, MPA Ms Faryal Talpur and provincial ministers.

Earlier, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, through a presentation was told that the Floods of 2022 destroyed 3.6 million Acres of Kharif crops out of 4.4 million Acres. The Farmers suffered a loss to the tune of Rs. 421 billion.

The Chief Minister said that the disruption of the crop cycle threatened our food security, livelihoods, and economy. He added that the Sindh government, on the directives of the party leadership planned to support the farmers in the form of enhancing the support price of wheat and Agriculture inputs to revive the agriculture sector.

Mr. Shah said that Rs 13.5 billion were required to finance the seed subsidy program. “The Sindh government contributed Rs8.39 billion and the federal government had committed Rs 4.7 billion,” he said and added due to funding deadlock with the federal government and lack of authentic data on farmers, the initial program of providing free seed was revisited when the sowing season had commenced.

The CM said that the implementation strategy was changed from the provision of free seed to reimbursement of the cost of seed at Rs 5,000 per acre.

Murad Ali Shah said that backing out of the federal government from providing their share constrained his government to limit the subsidy to the farmers holding the land up to 12.5 Acres in the first phase and 25 acres in the second phase.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged the people of the province to come forward and get every individual counted because this is a national duty and would help the government to provide facilities to the population based on details of people and their socio-economic conditions as recorded in the process of the census.

This he said while speaking at the Sindh Literature Festival organized at Pakistan Arts Council, Karachi on Friday. He was accompanied by Minister Culture Syed Sardar Shah.

Mr. Shah said that the 7th Housing and Population Census has been started in the entire country and would continue till April 1, 2023. He added that this was the first time that the census process was being done digitally in which details of houses and individuals were being recorded and registered online and on digital devices – tablets.

Mr. Shah said that the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has also introduced the method of self-enumeration through which any member of a family can log in to the PBS website – self.pbs.gov.pk through a mobile phone or computer and enter details of family and household.

The CM said that for self-enumeration one has to reach the PBS website to register by providing the name of the mobile service company, mobile number, the name of the district, and Taluka. The website would ask the registering person to create a password and confirm it,” he explained the procedure and said once information was entered, a one-time password (OTP) would be sent to your given mobile number through a text message from 9272.

Upon receiving the OTP, one has to log in again by using the OTP within five minutes, the CM said and added upon login, the census form would open up to fill in. the required spaces with accurate information.

NAPA Board adopts resolution to condole demise of Zia Mohyeddin

KARACHI: The Board of Directors of National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) adopted a Resolution to record deep appreciation for the invaluable services of its first President and CEO Zia Mohyeddin who passed away on February 13 2023.

Recording its profound respects and admiration for the extraordinary and unrivalled contribution by Zia Mohyeddin to the theatrical arts, to television, to cinema, to the narration of literature and to writing, the Board stressed that above all these unique accomplishments, Zia Mohyeddin led the progressive evolution of NAPA over the past 18 years as the country’s preeminent centre for teaching, learning and training of hundreds of youth in all aspects of drama and music.

His unique command over both Urdu and English, his mastery of diction, direction, stage movement and acting enabled young men and women from across the country to become highly successful and praised artists in diverse media.

Zia Mohyeddin has left a rich legacy to serve as an abiding inspiration for the present and future generations. The fact that he continued to visit NAPA every working day till just a few days before his demise, even after attaining the age of 91 years ,  to deliver lectures and conduct training  workshops was a stellar example of his dedication to encourage youth in artistic endeavours.

The Board recorded its thanks to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah who graciously approved the proposal presented during the final day of the Zia Mohyeddin Festival held at NAPA on February 26 2023  by the Chairman of NAPA, Syed Jawaid Iqbal, for the establishment of a new Chair in the name of  Zia Mohyeddin at the University of Karachi to facilitate research  and learning about the vast body of work that the thespian has left behind which will  help foster future excellence.

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that someone, as celebrated as Zia Mohyeddin, needs no introduction but he was a man with feathers galore in his hat: an actor, orator, director, author, and broadcaster who ruled over his own career for more than six decades.

This he said while speaking at `Tribute Evening Farewell to the Legend Zia Mohyeddin’ program organized by NAPA at NAPA Auditorium on Sunday evening.

Mr. Mohyeddin, despite proficiently enjoying various disciplines, let theatre be his lifelong passion. He studied theatre at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), the CM said and added that the thespian marked his debut in Lawrence of Arabia in 1961, which along with ‘Behold the Pale Horse’ (1964) and ‘Bombay Talkie (1970) became Zia Mohyeddin’s most memorable performances amongst many others.

Mr. Shah said that Mr. Zia, the talented and hardworking orator returned to Pakistan in the 1960s, hosting ‘The Zia Mohyeddin Show on PTV’, in which he introduced a new style of hosting. He added that Mr. Zia also set up the PIA Arts and Dance Academy the following decade which toured the world and performed at the Madison Square Garden and for Queen Elizabeth II.

“While I speak about Mr. Mohyeddin, I -just like everyone present here- am in absolute awe of his achievements,” the CM said and added to sum up the accolades he achieved or the life he led in a speech did not even come close to giving justice to his life’s work.

Murad Shah said that apart from being president of NAPA, he authored two books: memoir A Carrot is a Carrot (2008), and The God of My Idolatry, a collection of essays published in 2016. “At NAPA, he trained and taught a generation of Pakistani cinema, theatre, and art and I am sure the proteges of Mr. Mohyeddin will continue to make Pakistan proud,” he hoped.

KARACHI: The Sindh Cabinet has withdrawn the notification of demarcations in Karachi and Hyderabad and a letter has been issued to the Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) in this regard.

The inside story of the meeting of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah after the announcement of the postponement of local government(LG) elections by the Sindh government in Karachi has come to light.

Sources said that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah personally welcomed the MQM delegation to the Chief Minister’s House.

Speaking to the MQM delegation in the meeting, Sindh Chief Minister said that the Sindh Cabinet has withdrawn the notification of demarcations of Karachi and Hyderabad. He said MQM is ally of PPP and will go with them.

Sources said that the MQM delegation thanked the Sindh government, especially Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman PPP Asif Zardari for this decision.

Meanwhile, Farooq Sattar said that Asif Zardari fulfilled his promise.

According to sources, the withdrawn notification of the Sindh government regarding demarcations has been handed over to the MQM delegation.

Sources said that MQM Pakistan withdrew the protest call, and the MQM delegation informed the Sindh Chief Minister about the withdrawal of the protest call.

It should be noted that after the announcement of the postponement of local body elections by the Sindh government last night, a delegation of MQM, led by Farooq Sattar, met with the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, which included Faisal Subzwari, Mustafa Kamal, Waseem Akhtar, and Javed Hanif.

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah filed an acquittal petition under the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Ordinance in the Nooriabad Power Project case.

Nooriabad Power Project alleged money laundering case was heard in Accountability Court Islamabad in which Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah appeared.

Sindh Chief Minister has filed an acquittal petition under the NAB Amendment Ordinance in the court, while the co-accused of the Nooriabad Power Project has also requested relief from the court.

In the petition filed by the Sindh Chief Minister, it was said that after the NAB amendment ordinance, the case was no longer under the jurisdiction of the NAB.

In the petition, it was prayed that after the amendment in the NAB ordinance, the reference should be dismissed.

The court adjourned the hearing till January 12 while issuing a notice to NAB for the reply.

On the other hand, Bol News has received a copy of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s petition.

Sindh Chief Minister said in the plea that the Nooriabad project was approved by the entire provincial cabinet but no other cabinet member was made an accused or even a witness by NAB.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday inspected under construction Malir Expressway and other ongoing development projects of Karachi city.

Murad Ali Shah inspected the Malir Expressway at the City School chapter. Talking during his visit Sindh’s chief minister said, “it is 50 kilometers long road from Qayyumabad-KPT Interchange to M-9 Kathore”.

He said that the issue of traffic jams will resolve with the construction of the Malir Expressway. “Malir Expressway being constructed with the cost of 29 billion rupees,” he added.

CM Sindh also inspected Malir Expressway at Deh Drigh and directed officials to remove encroachments from the area to increase the construction work of the road.

Murad said that the People’s Party will inaugurate Malir Expressway after six to eight months. “It will be the first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project of Pakistan to be operated without subsidy,” Sindh CM said.

The chief minister said that biogas is being used as fuel in the project. He said that the engineers have promised to complete the fly-over project by March 23.

“They were giving a deadline for completion of the Underpass, me told them to complete it soon,” Shah stated.

“Mashriq Chowk Road at Hawkes Bay has been completed, while KNIB project Kakri Ground will also compete this year,” he said.

“The work has been underway on the treatment plant under the Public Private Partnership mode,” he added.

On the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto being observed on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said her fearless struggle against dictatorship and for supremacy of the constitution and democracy is a golden chapter of the country’s history.

Shehbaz Sharif said the Charter of Democracy by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto was a gift for the people of Pakistan that ushered in a new political culture and tradition in Pakistan.

He said Benazir Bhutto always took a bold stand against terrorism and her martyrdom is proof of Pakistan’s unswerving resolve against terrorism.

He said Benazir Bhutto’s relentless services for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions and the welfare of the people will always be remembered.

The Prime Minister expressed sympathies with Benazir Bhutto’s family, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and former President Asif Ali Zardari.

The CM also recalled the problems of the people affected by the devastating floods. “The winter has multiplied their problems and we all must help them at this time of need,” he said and added that his government was trying its best to rehabilitate the flood-affected people.

Earlier, the CM was received by his cabinet members, chief secretary, IG Police, Commissioner Karachi, and others when he arrived at the Mazar. The CM received Governor Kamran Tissori when he also arrived to pay respect to the father of the nation.
