ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah eulogized former prime minister Benazir Bhutto for her sacrifice for strengthening democracy in Pakistan.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari paid homage to Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of her 15 martyrdom day and said in his message “I cannot neglect the mission of Benazir Bhutto even in my sleep.”
He said that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed guided him in politics and now the philosophy of BB is guiding him. She faced difficulties for the sake of the constitution and democracy.
Asif Zardari said that Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of patience and tolerance and she destroyed the idol of fear of dictators with bravery, patience, and tolerance.
On the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto being observed on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said her fearless struggle against dictatorship and for supremacy of the constitution and democracy is a golden chapter of the country’s history.
Shehbaz Sharif said the Charter of Democracy by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto was a gift for the people of Pakistan that ushered in a new political culture and tradition in Pakistan.
He said Benazir Bhutto always took a bold stand against terrorism and her martyrdom is proof of Pakistan’s unswerving resolve against terrorism.
He said Benazir Bhutto’s relentless services for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions and the welfare of the people will always be remembered.
The Prime Minister expressed sympathies with Benazir Bhutto’s family, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and former President Asif Ali Zardari.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said great, brave leaders like Shaheed Benazir Bhutto are born in centuries.

He said, “Today we are renewing our pledge to carry forward the mission of Martyr Benazir Bhutto by gathering in front of the shrine of Martyr Benazir Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.”
