ATC declares 4 underground PTI leaders as POs

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) has declared four underground leaders of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) as proclaimed offenders.

The Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore heard the case related to the burning of the office of Pakistan  Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Model Town on May 9.

Judge Muhammad Naveed Iqbal of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case, the investigating officer said that the advertisements of the accused were also published but they were not appeared.

The investigating officer requested that the accused should be classified as proclaimed offenders  after hiding from the arrest cadre.

The court has declared four undercover PTI leaders as advertisers including Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, Wasiq Qayyum and Muhammad Zubair Niazi.

A case has been registered against the accused in Model Town Police Station.

ATC acquits Maryam Aurangzeb, Javed Latif in anti-state speech

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Lahore acquitted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N)  leader Maryam Aurangzeb and  Javed Latif in the anti-state speech case.

Judge Naveed Iqbal of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case and pronounced a reserved verdict according to which Maryam Aurangzeb and Latif Javed were acquitted.

Similarly, former MD of PTV Sohail Ali and former director of PTV News Rashid Baig were also acquitted.

In the anti-state speech case, the Anti-Terrorism Court ordered the arrest and production of Maryam Aurangzeb till December 9, 2023, for which a non-bailable arrest warrant was also issued.

However, later, Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abher Gul Khan heard the case, on this occasion, Maryam Aurangzeb and Javed Latif appeared in the court.

Maryam Aurangzeb’s non-bailable arrest warrant issued at the last hearing was canceled when she appeared in court.

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court declared seven leaders of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI)  as proclaimed offender in the case of burning police vehicles on Mall Road.

The Anti-Terrorism Court took action on the request of the police, a case has been registered against the accused in the Sarwar Road police station.

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) declared Azam Khan Swati, Murad Saeed and Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh as accomplices in the police vehicle burning case.

Apart from this, Hafiz Farhat, Muhammad Zubair Niazi, Wasiq Qayyum and Hamid Raza have also been declared proclaimed offenders by the Anti-Terrorism Court.

The investigating officer said that the advertisements of the accused were also published but they are not appearing.

The accused have deliberately gone into hiding and the accused are involved in burning police vehicles near Jinnah House on May 9.

Faisalabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) issued a bailable arrest warrant for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Abid Sher Ali and ordered to produce him by January 11.

The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued a bailable arrest warrant for PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali.

The court ordered the Factory Area Police to arrest and produce Abid Sher Ali on January 11. The petitioner appealed to register a case of terrorism.

The court said that it issued a bail warrant of Rs 100,000 for Abid Sher Ali’s non-appearance.

PML-N leader and former federal minister Abid Sher Ali is accused of threatening to burn the SP office.

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activist and renowned fashion designer Khadija Shah was released on bail.

According to police officials, Khadija Shah was on police remand for her involvement in the May 9 incidents. Khadija Shah has been released due to lack of evidence in the case. Khadija Shah was transferred from Lahore to Quetta on transit remand on December 12.

Khadija Shah was supposed to appear in the Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) today after completing her 6-day remand, but instead of presenting her in the court, the police released her on bail.

It should be noted that the police had arrested Khadija Shah in the case of arson and vandalism in Jinnah House Lahore.

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) indicted three Pakistan Tehreak e Insaf (PTI) leaders named in the May 9 cases.

The anti-terrorism court of Lahore heard the May 9 tragedy cases in which the court indicted former health minister Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry and Rubina Jameel.

Two cases have been registered against the accused in the Sarwar Road police station, in which the court indicted them, but the accused denied the crime.

The court summoned the witnesses in the case to record their statements on December 16.

In the previous hearing of the case, copies of the challan were distributed to the accused at the previous hearing.

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore approved a five days physical  remand of Afnan Shafqat, in a case related to tragic road accident in DHA Lahore.

Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abher Gul heard the request of the police, accused Afnan Shafqat was presented in the court.

The lawyer of the accused pleaded that the accused is young and the media trial is being conducted. He requested that the provisions of terrorism should be removed from the case.

The court remarked that the things you(lawyer) are talking about are for the trial, the truth should come before everyone, the incident is sad, there should be an investigation on truth and merit so that the truth comes before everyone.

Police said that provisions of terrorism have been included in the case and medical tests will be  conducted to determine the age of the accused. Police said investigation is required on various aspects and the court should grant physical remand.

On the complaint of the lawyer of the accused, the court told the investigating officer that the accused should not be harassed and the investigation should be on merit.

The plaintiff Rafaqat requested that the accused should be punished according to law.

The court handed over accused Afnan Shafqat to the police on 5-day physical remand and asked for an investigation report on the next hearing.

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC)  sent Pakistan Tehreak e Insaf(PTI) activist Sanam Javed to jail on a fourteen-day judicial remand in the police attack case.

The case of PTI activist Sanam Javed’s arrest in the attack on the police was heard in the anti-terrorism court.

Anti-Terrorism Court Admin Judge Abher Gul Khan heard the case. The police presented Sanam Javed on completion of physical remand, the investigating officer said that the accused had been subjected to the photogrammetric test.

The prosecutor said that Sanam Javed and other activists threw petrol bombs outside Zaman Park and the DIG was tortured in Zaman Park while police vehicles were set on fire and Sanam Javed incited the activists to attack the police with hateful speeches.

LAHORE The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) accepted the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed.

ATC heard the case against Sanam Javed for burning the office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on May 9, in which the court accepted the PTI worker’s bail application.

The court ordered the release of the accused on a surety bond of Rs 200,000. The court rejected the bail application of co-accused Taj Mohammad and Mohammad Tanveer.

The accused are suspects of burning the PML-N office in Model Town on May 9. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Muhammad Arshad Javed heard the case.

During the hearing, the lawyer of the accused said that her client is under custody in the case of burning the office of PML-N, his bail has been approved in two cases.

On Friday, the Lahore High Court sought an answer from the IG Police Punjab for not releasing Sanam Javed Khan despite being granted bail.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi had heard the contempt of court case of the accused in which it was said that the IG said in the report that there was no case against the petitioner except for two cases but in both cases he was not released despite bail.

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) Lahore declared several leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf as proclaimed offenders in the Jinnah House attack case.

The Anti-Terrorism Court declared these nine PTI leaders as criminals for deliberate concealment and issued permanent arrest warrants for them.

Among the leaders who were declared proclaimed offenders by the court are Hammad Azhar, Farrukh Habib, Murad Saeed, Azam Swati, and Ali Amin Gandapur.

Mian Aslam Iqbal, Zubair Niazi, Karamat Khokhar, and Andleeb Abbas have also been declared as proclaimed offenders.

A case has been registered against these leaders in Sarwar Road police station and earlier the anti-terrorism court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the accused.

Lahore: Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Latif and Maryam Aurangzeb in the controversial speech case.

The case against Javed Latif and Maryam Aurangzeb was heard by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abher Gul Khan. At the hearing, the police prepared and submitted the report of the case, which was rejected by the court.

The court summoned the accused on September 30 while issuing summons.

It may be noted that a case was registered against the accused in 2022 at Green Town police station under anti-state speeches and statements.

Earlier, Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri heard the case against the accused in the Islamabad High Court. Lahore Police had submitted the report regarding the dismissal of the case in the court.

The police said that the plaintiff does not want to prosecute the case, so they will submit the report of the expulsion case to the concerned court.

Court allows Chairman PTI’s arrest in Jinnah House attack case

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has allowed the arrest of the former Prime Minister and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Jinnah House (Crops Commander House Lahore) attack case.

The application was filed in the court by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Investigation.
In the petition, permission was sought to arrest the PTI chairman for investigation.

After hearing the application, the Anti-Terrorism Court allowed to arrest former prime minister.

It should be noted that Chairman PTI has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on August 5 in the Toshakhana criminal case.

He is also a named accused in the cases registered against the violent incidents of May 9.
