MANSEHRA: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur  said that PTI’s dharna(sit-inn) is a movement which is continue and will continue as only PTI founder has authority to end protest.

Addressing a press conference in Mansehra, Ali Amin Gandapur has said that “We have given a peaceful call for protest in Islamabad, we are talking about our legitimate rights, our party has been oppressed and we we have been banned from D Chowk by founder PTI”.

He said that Imran Khan has said that the sit-in will end when he says so and added that this sit-in is still going on.

He explained that this sit-in is under Imran Khan’s control and people were shot in our sit-in while score of people martyred and several others injured during government grand operation.

The chief minister said that PTI sit-inn is a movement which is ongoing and sit-inn will continue till the call of Imran Khan. He lamented that PTI workers and leadership are not getting justice from the courts.

Ali Amin Gandapur said PTI is facing hardships since two and a half years and party leadership is  not getting justice even from the courts and PTI founder is in jail.

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad declared Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur as proclaimed offender (PO) in vandalism and violation of Section 144 in federal capital.

The Anti-Terrorism Court has issued a written order to declare Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as a Proclaimed Offender.  Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra issued the written order.

In which he said that in the case registered in I-9 police station over vandalism and violation of Section 144 in the federal capital, Chief Minister KP has been declared as proclaimed offender while the case has been separated from other accused.

Non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued for PTI leaders Raja Rashid Hafeez, Wasiq Qayyum, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Faisal Javed and Umar Tanveer.

Absentee accused’s lawyer files application for exemption from appearance, application for exemption from appearance of absent accused is rejected and bail bonds are cancelled.

The Anti-Terrorism Court adjourned further hearing of the case till November 28.

KP starts implementing on solarization flagship project

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has started implementation on solarization flagship project with the cost 55 billion in the province.

Memorandums of understandings (MoUs) were signed for the implementation of two separate solarization projects worth Rs 55 billion.

Under the project, all government buildings will be solarized including hospitals, universities, colleges, police stations, jails, tube wells and government offices.

The cost of the solarization project of government buildings is estimated at Rs 20 billion , but initially the solarization of 13,000 government buildings is estimated at Rs 15 billion..

The provincial government has estimated Rs 35 billion for the provision of solar system to the deserving people, 100,000 households in the arranged districts and 30,000 adjoining districts will be given solar system.

Under the project, solar units will be provided to 130,000 households, 65,000 households will be provided free of charge while 65,000 households will be given solar systems at a 50% discount.

In this regard, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that he is determined to give relief to the citizens, priority will be given to areas with high load shedding in the solar project.

ADB delegation calls on CM KP Gandapur

PESHAWAR: A delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) met with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur here at CM Secretariat on Saturday.

Both discussed in details issues related to the ongoing important development projects in various sectors in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank in the province.

A detailed discussion was also held on the progress on these development projects as per the timelines and the matters related to their timely completion. Development projects to be started with the support of the Asian Development Bank during the next three years were also discussed in the meeting.

They agreed to start implementation of these projects early if pre-requisites are completed soon.

The delegation expressed their willingness to release funds ahead of the timelines for the implementation of various projects under KP Sustainable Urban Mobility, KP Rural Roads Development, KP Cities Improvement Project, KP Food Security and Livestock Management Program.

The chief minister also instructed the concerned authorities to complete the required work as soon as possible in this regard.

The meeting also reviewed the proposed projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the five-year Country Partnership Strategy 2026-30. The two sides also agreed to expand cooperation in social sectors.

The provincial government values the cooperation and collaboration of the ADB for the development of social sectors, Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur said and added that the provincial government was investing heavily in potential sectors to increase its revenue.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has enormous investment opportunities in the fields of agriculture, livestock, tourism, minerals, hydropower and housing, Ali Amin Gandapur said.

Providing self-employment opportunities to people by developing these sectors is an important part of the provincial government’s vision, the chief minister informed the delegation.

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur held a meeting with the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) chief to discuss electricity crises issues in the province. 

During the meeting, the PESCO chief assured to reduce load shedding in the province.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the PESCO chief also agreed to issue a new load-shedding schedule in the province.

According to the new schedule, there will be 18 hours of load shedding in the areas that used to have 22 hours of load shedding, and 14 hours of load shedding in the areas that used to have 18 hours of load shedding.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that to implement the new schedule, the PESCO authorities should decide the procedure with the Chief Secretary today. Ali Amin Gandapur said that he is ready to talk with the federal government to solve the problems related to electricity and added that the talk cannot happen until the people get immediate relief from load shedding.

The Chief Minister said that the provincial government wants to give relief to the people by deducting their arrears, and the federal government and PESCO are responsible for the line losses in the province.

According to the petitioner’s lawyer, the Election Commission has summoned the Chief Minister yesterday regarding the assets.

Earlier, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) accepted a plea seeking the disqualification of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for hearing.

Independent candidate defats PTI backed candidate in NA-8 Bajaur

PESHAWAR: Mubarak Zeb Khan, an independent candidate, has won the by-election of the NA-8 Bajaur National Assembly seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by defeating the Sunni Ittihad Council candidate backed by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.

According to the incomplete and unofficial results of all 366 polling stations in the NA-8 Bajaur by-election, the independent candidate Mubarak Zeb has been declared successful by getting 74,008 votes, while the candidate of the Sunni Ittehad Council, Gul Zafar Khan got 47,282 votes.

On the other hand, the victory of independent candidate Mubarak Zeb is being declared as his victory by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI).

It should be noted that PTI had nominated Gul Zafar Khan as its candidate against Mubarak Zeib, the brother of slain party worker Rehan Zeb, in the by-election in Bajaur.

Being disappointed after not getting a ticket from PTI, Mubarak Zeb also made a statement against PTI leadership including CM Ali Amin Gandapur.

It should be remembered that during the general elections held in February 8 this year, Rehan Zeb, an independent candidate from National Assembly Constituency NA Bajaur 8, was shot dead by unknown persons.
