RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has directed to expel Sher Afzal Marwat over repeated violation of party discipline.

Sources have said that Sher Afzal Marwat was repeatedly removed from the party for violating party discipline. Sher Afzal Marwat was given the showcase notice for making statements against the party.

Sources said PTI founder expressed his annoyance on Sher Afzal Marwat on the unnecessary speech in the Swabi rally. The PTI will soon issue a notification to abolish the basic membership of Sher Afzal Marwat.

After abolishing of basic membership, Sher Afzal Marwat will be sought as MNA.

According to sources, the leaders complained to the founder PTI on the role in the gathering of Sher Afzal Marwat.

PESHAWAR:  Founder Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) removed Ali Amin Gandapur from the provincial presidency of the party and appointed Junaid Akbar as party president.

Imran Khan has withdrawn the party’s provincial presidency from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and has now appointed Junaid Akbar as the new provincial president of the party.

Founder PTI has also directed the party’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja to issue a notification for the appointment of Junaid Akbar.

In addition, Imran Khan has directed Salman Akram Raja to consult for the formation of a party in Punjab.

In this regard, Salman Akram Raja said that Ali Amin himself wanted him not to retain the party presidency, the founder of PTI has asked Ali Amin to focus on the issues of terrorism and governance in the province.

Earlier,  Junaid Akbar, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf, was elected chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.

A meeting was held for the nomination of the Chairman Public Accounts Committee, which was attended by the members.

Opposition Leader Omar Ayoub Khan proposed the name of Junaid Akbar for the Chairman Committee, after which he was elected unopposed chairman.

According to the statement, Riaz Fatyana, Aamir Dogar, Wajiha Qamar, Sardar Yousuf Zaman and others supported Junaid Akbar.

PTI founder calls off talks with govt over failure to form judicial commission

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI) founder has called off the ongoing negotiations with the government due to its failure to form judicial commission.

Talking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that the PTI founder Imran Khan announced to end the talks in jail today.

Barrister Gohar said that the government was supposed to establish the commission in 7 days, but so far the government has not formed the judicial commission to probe May 9 and November 26 events.

Chairman PTI said that today he and other lawyers had a meeting with founder PTI, founder PTI clarified that the commission has not been formed, so the negotiations are over. The PTI founder Imran Khan said there are no more rounds of negotiations.

Barrister Gohar said, “We had a great desire to continue the negotiations and move things forward, but unfortunately no any progress has been yet. It is a pity that no announcement has been made by the government till date”.

He said that if the commission is to be formed, the members should be from 3 senior judges of Supreme Court or High Court. He announced that PTI will continue our struggle according to the constitution and law.

Barrister Gohar said that PTI founder has said that we are not waiting for help from any foreign country, we will start joint struggle with all political parties.

Earlier, leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub also said that if the government does not announce the judicial commission, the negotiations will not proceed.

Justice Raja Inam Minhas of Islamabad High Court heard the acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana-2 case.

During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar requested an injunction on the trial of Toshakhana-2 case. On which Justice Raja Inam said that there is no judicial precedent for stalling the criminal proceedings at this point, we will also notify the other party of your request.

Meanwhile, Salman Safdar requested to change the bench and said that Justice Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has heard 5 petitions related to this case, it would be appropriate that this court should also send the acquittal petitions to the same court.

Justice Raja Inam rejected the request of the petitioner’s lawyer to change the bench and said that those were bail applications, it is a separate matter, this court will hear the case, you should argue on the merits of the case.

Imran Khan’s lawyer said that there are orders for two petitions , the trial court should be ordered to stop the hearing. On this the judge said that the indictment has been filed in the trial court, the statements of the witnesses are being made.

ISLAMABAD:  An Accountability Court on Friday ordered the handover of Al-Qadir University to the federal government along with sentencing PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi £190m case.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana pronounced long-awaited judgment in the £190 million case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Adiala Jail.

Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana awarded 14-year sentence to the PTI founder and a seven-year sentence to his wife Bushra Bibi.

In its verdict, the court also ordered Al-Qadir University to be handed over to the federal government and asked the government to take over the management of the university.

It should be remembered that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are facing legal problems due to the Al-Qadir University project.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases were filed on both of them due to abuse of power and allegations of financial irregularities.

Despite political support and strong publicity, only 200 students were enrolled to Al-Qadir University, which was considered the dream project of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, during 4 years.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to party leader and Member National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat on the directives of PTI founder.

A show-cause notice was issued to Sher Afzal Marwat for violating party discipline.

It is stated in the show cause notice that Sher Afzal Marwat as a member of the assembly and core committee is fully aware of the negotiation process. As a member of the assembly and core committee Sher Afzal Marwat should not make a statement against any negotiation team member.

It has been said in the notice that Sher Afzal Marwat also gave harsh comments regarding the ongoing negotiations, Sher Afzal Marwat has violated the party policy by making such statements.

It is said in the show cause notice that the case of Sher Afzal Marwat was placed before the founder PTI, the former prime minister gave orders to issue a show cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat.

The show cause notice states that Sher Afzal spoke without thinking of the consequences and harmed the party more than once.

This show cause notice is being issued for violation of party policy more than once. Sher Afzal Marwart directed to respond to the show cause within 7 days otherwise action will be taken as per policy.

ISLAMABAD: Former first lady and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder wife Bushra Bibi’s interim bail pleas on PTI’s November 26 protest case have been rejected.

Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard Bushra Bibi’s interim bail applications during which Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry filed an exemption application.

Prosecutor Iqbal Kakar said that he has not submitted his bail bonds, on which the judge remarked that he has not yet submitted his bail bonds.

Lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry said that today there is a £190 million case decision for which Bushra Bibi has to go to Adiala Jail, on which the judge said that you are not implementing the court’s order, your interim bail is three petitions are dismissed.

It should be noted that two cases have been registered against Bushra Bibi in Tarnol police station and one in Ramna police station for November 26 protest.

In another case registered against Bushra Bibi in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, a hearing was held on the plea for interim bail.

On behalf of Bushra Bibi, lawyer Ansir Kayani appeared in the court and took a position that the judgment of £190 million case against Bushra Bibi is to come today.

RAWALPINDI:The judgment against Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder and his wife Bushra Bibi in the £190 million case has been delayed for the third time

Accountability Court judge Nasir Javed Rana was to pronounce the £190 million case verdict against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Adiala Jail.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana expressed anger over the no-show of the accused, saying that he had been present at the court since 8:30am, leading to the postponement of the verdict.

It should be noted that the accountability court had reserved its decision on the £190 million case on December 18, 2024.

The accountability court had first fixed December 23rd and then January 6th as the date for delivering the verdict, then the third date for delivering the verdict was January 13th.

The trial of the £190 million case was completed in a year and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recorded the statements of 35 witnesses during the trial, the lawyers of the founder PTI cross-examined the witnesses.

Important witnesses in the £190 million case, former principal secretary Azam Khan, former chief minister KP Pervez Khattak, former federal minister Zubaida Jalal also recorded their statements.

RAWALPINDI: The military court sentenced 60 more culprits including Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder nephew Hassan Niazi over their involvement in the May 9 cases.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), more accused involved in the May 9 tragedy have been sentenced, 60 more culprits have been sentenced by the Field General Court Martial(FGCM).

ISPR said that Hassan Khan Niazi, son of Hafeezullah Niazi, involved in the Jinnah House attack, has been sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) had announced to challenge the decision of the military court, calling the punishments of the accused against the constitution.

The US, UK and EU had expressed concerns over the sentencing of the civilians by the military courts, maintaining that the convictions were against the international law.

Responding to the concerns raised by the foreign countries, the Foreign Office (FO) said that the military courts’ judgments were made under a law enacted by the parliament and in line with the ruling of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: A District and Session Court Islamabad on Tuesday extended interim bails granted to founder of PTI Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi till January 7, 2025.

Islamabad District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the bail pleas in 6 cases against founder PTI and one case against Bushra Bibi.

During the hearing, the junior counsel for the accused appeared in the court and told that the senior counsel is busy in Central Jail Adiala and therefore cannot appear today.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing by extending the interim bails of founder PTI and Bashira Bibi till January 7.

The cases filed against PTI founder include attempted murder, vandalism, violence, and forging receipts, while his wife, Busra Bibi, is facing charges of submitting fake receipts in the Toshkh.

ISLAMABAD: A special court in Islamabad indicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Toshakhana case–II.

The Special Court Central-I Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand, who presided over the hearing at Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, framed the charges on Khan and Bushra.

Toshakhana case-II was initially investigated by National Accountability Bureau(NAB) and in the light of NAB amendments, the case was transferred to Federal Investigation Agency. In September 2024, FIA submitted the challan to the court after investigation.

A Toshakhana case was filed against PTI founder and Bushra Bibi over the Bulgari jewelery set given by the Saudi Crown Prince.

The reference said that Bushra Bibi was given a Bulgari jewelery set during her visit to Saudi Arabia from May 7 to 10, 2021. The jewelery set includes a ring, bracelet, necklace and a pair of earrings.

The reference stated that as per the evidence founder PTI and his wife illegally kept the Bulgari jewelery set, Deputy MS informed Toshakhana on May 18 2021 about estimating the value.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday approved Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder’s petition to form a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 incidents.

The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court heard the plea of founder PTTI for a judicial inquiry into the May 9 incident, in which the Additional Attorney General and Imran Khan’s lawyer appeared in the court.

During the hearing, the Additional Attorney General said that the petition is not of public importance and there are objections to it. On this the court overruled the objections of the Registrar’s Office and directed it to be scheduled for hearing.

Founder PTI’s lawyer Hamid Khan said that it has been one and a half years, do you know what happened on May 9.After May 9, there were hundreds of cases and a political party was walled up.

On this, Jamal Khan Mandokhail asked why you did not approach the High Court. Hamid Khan said that it is not a matter of any province but of the whole country.

The court told the founder PTI’s lawyer that they are only finishing the objections of the registrar office, the case on merits has not been heard yet, the court will have to satisfy the questions raised when the case is rescheduled.

During the hearing, Justice Musarrat Hilali remarked that even if the commission is formed, it will only fix the liability. She remarked that the judicial commission report will not affect the criminal cases.
