- Aleema Khan announced final call for Islamabad protest on Nov 24.
- PTI founder also constituted committee for Islamabad protest.
- Political analysts observed PTI’s protest call continuation of May 9.
The founder of Pakistan Tehreak e Insaf has given a final call for protest on November 24, which was announced by his sister Aleema Khan while talking to the media outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi and later confirmed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
PTI founder presented four demands to the government, in which the first demand is the withdrawal of the 26th constitutional amendment, the second demand is the restoration of democracy and the constitution, the third demand is the return of the mandate, while the fourth demand is the release of all innocent political prisoners.
A committee has also been formed for this protest, which will lead the protesters and hold talks with powerful authorities’ if necessary.
Regarding the four demands presented by the founder of PTI, political analysts say that PTI and its founder have lost their senses because these four demands are not acceptable in any way.
The first demand is the abolition of the 26th constitutional amendment, the constitutional amendment was not made by a single individual.
It was passed by the parliament with a two-thirds majority, so only two-thirds majority will be required to abolish it.
The second demand is for the restoration of democracy and the constitution. The country has complete democracy at the moment, the biggest example of which is the passing of decisions and bills through the parliament. The constitution is fully restored and courts are working and giving verdicts and PTI founder is also getting benefits.
The third demand is the return of the mandate, the elections held on February 8 this year were completely transparent, which has been accepted by the whole world. The governments of all the provinces are working and they will complete their five years.
The fourth demand is the release of all political prisoners. No, the founder PTI himself is arrested in theft and corruption and he is not a political prisoner . PTI founder has been facing charges heartbreaking incidents like May 9.
Political analysts also say that PTI founder’s announcement of protest on November 24 is actually a continuation of events like May 9 and now it wants to hold such an event again.
However, he may have misunderstood that this time the state is finalized all arrangement to implement its writ. The fact is that all the protest rallies of this party have failed so far and now it wants to stage another May 9 style drama. Their leaders lured the youth by throwing flares, which has both audio and video evidence.
Yasmin Rashid, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, fugitives Murad Saeed, Shehryar Afridi and the founder of PTI themselves incited the people, and all of them went on the run. Some came out on bail but the youth are still in jails and their future is ruined.
Political analysts say that the state has not come under any threat from the founder of PTI or its party before and will not come again and their protest will be dealt with iron hands because any miscreant will be punished for destroying the peace of the country.
The growth of the economy cannot be allowed to stop. Now no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands. If the PTI founder is giving the final call, he should understand that now the state has also made final preparations to deal with any adventure.
Political analysts also say that these are their lies, the founder of PTI is locked up in jail and he has no knowledge of the actual situation. A party which is divided into factions, why should it protest, the leadership will disappear like Ali Amin Gandapur is disappearing and the children of the poor will be trapped.
On the other hand, political analysts are also raising the question that some senior leaders of the PTI are not in favor of this final call, so the chances of its success have decreased before the start. He said that Salman Akram Raja had advised the PTI founder that there should be at least three to four people for the protest, which is not possible at the moment, but the PTI founder is making this announcement for his nefarious purposes.
Political analysts voiced that unfortunately,, PTI has not learned any lesson from history. In 2014, PTI had resources available that it doesn’t have now, spent millions of rupees and gave it an Islamic touch.
However, this kind of support is no longer possible for the PTI, and other factors such as the presence of a religious scholar, Tahir-ul-Qadri, are no longer present.
According to analysts, those who are saying that this is a “do or die” opportunity are actually ignorant of the current situation in Pakistan and are sitting abroad.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced that all school employees in the province would participate in the protest, an unprecedented demand in Pakistan’s political history. The announcement was criticized by political experts who said it was an attempt to establish a new and undemocratic tradition.
Another important question raised by political analysts is that when PTI founder’s sister announced the date of the protest, was it a decision by the political party? While raising this question, the analysts also said that if this is the case, then the question also arises: why were we taught that other political parties are undemocratic?
