Pet cat of Russian man leads him to death with its scratches

Russian man
  • A Russian man tragically died after being scratched by his pet cat.
  • The cat often roamed freely around the neighborhood.
  • The man found the feline in the neighborhood and brought it home.

On November 22, Dmitry Ukhin, a 55-year-old man from Russia’s Leningrad region, tragically bled to death after being scratched by his pet cat, Styopka.

Known for its independent streak, Styopka often roamed freely around the neighborhood. That evening, Ukhin found the feline and brought it home, but for reasons yet unknown, the cat scratched his leg severely, reportedly severing a vein or artery.

At approximately 11 p.m., a desperate Ukhin called his neighbor, reporting profuse bleeding. The neighbor attempted to assist but called emergency services after realizing Ukhin’s condition was worsening, likely exacerbated by his diabetes and blood-clotting issues. Unfortunately, when medical personnel arrived, they could only confirm Ukhin’s death.

“Around 11 p.m., a man called 112 to report that his friend was bleeding from his leg due to a torn vein. The doctors who arrived only confirmed the man’s death, which the police received a telephone message about,” a police spokesperson told Kosomolskaya Pravda, emphasizing, “There was definitely no crime there.”

Investigators are probing how Styopka, described as a “harmless cat” by Ukhin’s wife, inflicted a fatal wound. “She can’t imagine her scratching him to death,” police said. While Styopka is a large cat, such a deadly injury is highly unusual for a house pet.

Melissa Barrera reflects on her darkest year after raising voice for Gaza

Melissa Barrera
  • Melissa Barrera opened up about her struggles.
  • She described the past year as “the darkest and hardest.”
  • Barrera made headlines for her strong support of Palestine.

Melissa Barrera, known for her role in the Scream franchise, opened up about her struggles following her firing over her stance on Gaza.

In an interview with The Independent, she described the past year as “the darkest and hardest” of her life, saying, “There were times when I felt like my life was over.”

In 2023, Barrera made headlines for her strong support of Palestine, sharing posts on social media that called out the Israeli government. “Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp,” she wrote in one Instagram story, labeling the situation as “genocide and ethnic cleansing.” Spyglass, the studio behind the Scream series, dropped her shortly after, citing a “zero tolerance” policy for hate speech, including “false references to genocide.”

Barrera defended her position, stating, “I condemn antisemitism and Islamophobia, and hate and prejudice of any kind. I believe a group of people are NOT their leadership, and that no governing body should be above criticism.”

The firing left Barrera in a professional break, forcing her to reassess her identity beyond acting. “For the longest time, I gave myself value as a human because of my work. So when I saw it potentially ending, I was like, who even am I?”

Now, with a new espionage series alongside Simu Liu, Barrera feels reinvigorated. “I was stuck in the dunes for a while, and now I feel like my feet are moving.”

  • The rap duo had been scheduled to perform in major Indian cities.
  • The cancellation followed a series of troubling incidents.

The much-anticipated India debut concert of the Young Stunners has been abruptly canceled due to “organisational and financial disputes,” as reported by Rolling Stone India.

The rap duo, consisting of Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus, had been scheduled to perform in major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and New Delhi. However, the cancellation followed a series of troubling incidents, including a canceled show in Sydney earlier this month.

Live Vibe Australia, who organized the Sydney show, stated that the duo pulled out “due to their management’s choice” and had not refunded the booking fee.

The company further claimed, “deposits for the India tour remain unreturned.” Despite efforts to communicate with the Young Stunners’ management team, Live Vibe warned the music industry to “refrain from paying any deposits or entering into contracts with Young Stunners and their team” until the issue was resolved.

In response, the Young Stunners’ management clarified that their cancellation of the Sydney show was due to “significant mismanagement and exhibiting unacceptable behaviour towards our team, including the mistreatment of artists.”

They also urged artists to “exercise extreme caution when considering collaborations with Live Vibe and Desi Disco” due to their “questionable business practices.”

This controversy has marred the duo’s highly anticipated India tour, leaving fans disappointed.

Has Aishwarya Rai removed Bachchan from her surname? Viral video raises concerns

Aishwarya Rai
  • Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made headlines at the Global Women’s Forum.
  • The event focused on women’s empowerment.
  • The event’s Instagram post displayed her name as Aishwarya Rai.

Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently made headlines when she delivered a heartfelt speech at the Global Women’s Forum in Dubai, focusing on women’s empowerment.

However, it was not just her words that caught attention, but also the omission of her surname “Bachchan” from the event’s official Instagram post. The video showed her name displayed as “Aishwarya Rai, International Star,” sparking speculation on social media that she may have officially dropped her husband’s surname.

However, a fact-check by News18 clarified that Aishwarya’s full name remains unchanged on her verified Instagram account, where she is still listed as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Some users suggested that the omission of the surname could have been a professional decision to highlight her individual identity, rather than a personal one.

The speculation about her name comes amid ongoing rumors regarding Aishwarya and her husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan’s alleged separation. This buzz was further fueled when Aishwarya shared photos from their daughter Aaradhya’s 13th birthday party, which notably did not feature Abhishek.

Despite the swirling rumors, Aishwarya’s continued use of the Bachchan surname on her official platforms suggests no official change to her name.

Liam Payne’s family to take legal actions against those involved in singer’s death

Liam Payne
  • The family of Liam Payne is reportedly taking legal.
  • They may bring private criminal charges against individuals.
  • The family’s lawyer has engaged local legal counsel in Argentina.

The family of Liam Payne, former One Direction star, is reportedly taking legal action following his death at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16.

According to Page Six, Payne’s family may bring private criminal charges against individuals believed to have contributed to his death.

Lawyers representing the Payne family, including Richard Bray, have engaged local legal counsel in Argentina, signifying the family’s intent to be plaintiffs in any criminal proceedings. This development comes amidst an ongoing investigation and the release of troubling photos from Payne’s final moments.

Local prosecutors have ruled out self-harm or external intervention in Payne’s injuries. However, they have charged two hotel employees with allegedly providing drugs and identified a friend as a person of interest for failing to assist. “It appears clear to me that Liam was trying to get back downstairs, he did not want to go in his room,” a source told Page Six.

The photos suggest hotel staff manhandled Payne and confined him to his room shortly before his fall. Criminal lawyer Nicolas Durrieu noted, “If this is true, hotel staff may face charges of ‘abandonment of a person’… likely considered ‘aggravated’ because a person died.”

Payne’s family is resolute in seeking justice, determined to uncover the truth behind the tragic loss of the 31-year-old singer.
