KIA Sportage 2023 Price in Pakistan

The 2023 KIA Sportage in Pakistan comes in a price range of PKR 7,300,000 for the base Alpha variant to PKR 9,650,000 for the top-tier Black Limited Edition variant. These prices are ex-factory.

The Kia Sportage 2023 is a popular compact SUV manufactured by South Korean automaker Kia since 1993. Initially, it had a mixed reception in Pakistan due to safety concerns and features. However, the fourth generation, introduced in August 2019, marked its successful return in Pakistan, offering both All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Front Wheel Drive (FWD) variants. Later, the Sportage Alpha was added in June 2020, further enhancing its presence in the Pakistani market.

Kia Sportage 2023 Exterior

The 5th generation Sportage boasts a sporty and revolutionary design. It features a wider and bolder KIA tiger nose grille, distinctive boomerang-styled DRLs, cube-styled headlights, dual spot fog lights, slim LED taillights, and a blacked-out rear bumper.

Kia Sportage 2023 Interior

The interior of the 2023 KIA Sportage is high-tech and sophisticated. It includes a panoramic curved wide glass panel housing two integrated digital screens – one for the driver’s instrumental panel and the other for the infotainment system. The interior also features a new steering wheel with a modern brand logo, three-dimensional air vents, and a minimalistic slim HVAC climate control panel.

Sportage 2023 Engine

The KIA Sportage 2023 offers various engine options worldwide, but in Pakistan, two engines are expected. One is a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with 181 hp and 240 Nm of torque, and the other is a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine with 177 hp, 265 Nm of torque, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Sportage Mileage

The 5th generation Sportage delivers a combined city/highway fuel economy of 11 kilometers per litre and features a 62-litre fuel tank.

Sportage Ride & Handling

The Kia Sportage 2023 offers impressive grip during cornering and a comfortable suspension system that smooths out road bumps. Although there’s some body roll, it doesn’t compromise overall ride comfort. Compared to its predecessor, it shows significant improvements in handling and driving dynamics.

Sportage Maintenance

As the KIA Sportage 2023 is locally assembled in Pakistan, spare parts are readily available, and servicing is more convenient for consumers.

Kia unexpectedly raises car prices by Up to Rs. 500,000

KIA Luckey Motors

Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has raised the pricing of all Kia vehicles. The corporation hasn’t given a reason for the increase, but currency devaluation is most likely to blame. Kia resumes vehicle bookings at same prices

Kia resumes vehicle bookings
  • Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has started accepting reservations for Kia vehicles.
  • Last week, Kia Lucky Motor Corporation declared that it will keep its new prices in place.
  • Hyundai Nishat Motor Company Limited (HNMPL) has also kept its prices the same.

After opting to keep the previously increased rates, Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has started accepting reservations for Kia vehicles.

This change occurs right after the government decides to loosen import restrictions.

According to a dealership spokesperson, the company is accepting reservations for all vehicles with a minimum one-month delivery window.

The Kia Lucky Motor Corporation (KLMC) declared last week that it will keep its new prices in place despite the rupee’s sharp appreciation against the US dollar.

The company explained that the rise in its car pricing is only 14%, which is much less than those that increased the costs by 19–23%, in an official public announcement.

In the notification, it says:

“We are happy to see that in the greater interest of the market and its customers that the prices have been corrected to bring them at a fair level and we feel great pride in creating a precedent and setting a benchmark for everyone in terms of price setting.”

While other automakers have all marginally cut automobile costs, Hyundai Nishat Motor Company Limited (HNMPL) has also kept their prices the same.

HNMPL cites the same justification as KLMC. It is unclear whether the price variation would affect the demand for cars.

Kia announces major price spike for all vehicles

Kia announces major price spike
  • Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has increased the pricing of all Kia automobiles in Pakistan.
  • This is LMCL’s fourth price hike this year.
  • According to Kia, the depreciation of the local currency and a rise in shipping expenses caused major spike.

In the previous two years, Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) was renowned for maintaining vehicle costs. Unfortunately, the automaker has been compelled to hike car pricing alongside other businesses due to the depreciation of local currency and rise in shipping expenses.

As per a recent statement, the business has increased the pricing of all Kia automobiles in Pakistan namely Sportage, Stonic, and Picanto. The following are the new prices, which take effect right away:

Variants Old Price (Rs.) Revised Price (Rs.) Increase (Rs.)
Picanto M/T 2,600,000 3,100,000 500,000
Picanto A/T 2,700,000 3,200,000 500,000
Sportage Alpha 5,300,000 6,250,000 897,000
Sportage FWD 5,858,000 6,750,000 892,000
Sportage AWD 6,363,000 7,250,000 877,000
Stonic EX 4,425,000 4,545,000 76,000
Stonic EX+ 4,725,000 4,848,000 76,000
Sorento 2.4 FWD 6,904,360 7,800,000 895,000
Sorento 2.4 AWD 7,573,990 8,500,000 926,000
Sorento V6 FWD 7,573,990 8,500,000 926,000
Carnival 11,499,000 12,599,000 1,100,000

Oddly, compared to the rest of the lineup, the price increases for the Kia Stonic are minimal. The top-selling Kia vehicles now cost more thanks to a fourth price hike this year from LMCL.

This price increase is probably due to the Pakistani Rupee’s rate against the US Dollar, which was Rs. 222 on July 19. With additional companies issuing such somber announcements and blaming the devaluation of the Pakistani Rupee for their price increases, Kia may have started a new wave of price increases in the automotive sector.
