Kia is going to reveal its new electric SUV, the EV3, on May 23. This compact SUV, first shown in concept form last year, will keep its bold and futuristic style while being more affordable.
The EV3 has already generated excitement with teaser images showing a design similar to the concept’s sharp lines and unique features. Led by Kia’s design chief Karim Habib, people expect a blend of great looks and practicality.
Kia wants to make electric cars more accessible, aiming for an entry-level price below £30,000 (Rs. 1.04 Crore) in the UK. This move aims to attract more buyers to electric cars. In Pakistan, the price might be higher due to dealer costs and import fees.
The EV3, joining Kia’s Niro EV, switches to Hyundai Motor Group’s electric platform, allowing for different powertrains and battery sizes to suit different needs.
Powered by this platform, the EV3 is expected to have good performance, starting at around 215 bhp. While charging might be a bit slower due to the electrical setup, the platform’s efficiency and cost-effectiveness make it a smart choice for Kia’s new electric model.
