During a recent appearance on Dua Lipa’s At Your Service podcast, Billie Eilish delved into her creative process as a teenager versus her current approach. She discussed the comparisons she’s been making, aiming to reassure herself that she’s still capable of exploring different avenues. She shared with the British artist, “I’ve been trying to compare recently, just because I’m getting used to doing it in a different way, and trying to be like ‘it’s ok to do that. I’m ok. I’m still able to do that; I’m capable still.'”

Eilish’s rise to fame began at the age of 13 with the release of Ocean Eyes on SoundCloud. Collaborating with her brother Finneas, she has since released two studio albums, earning Grammy recognition along the way.

Her most recent album, Happier Than Ever, was released in 2021. Reflecting on that time, she revealed that both she and Finneas felt confident that they had everything figured out. However, after a year and a half of touring and returning to their work, Eilish acknowledged the transformative effect of age: “And, you know, touring for a year-and-a-half, then coming back to it, and being way older — and not even much older, but again, the jump between 18 and 21 is a big jump.”

Eilish further described grappling with the changes she’s experienced, especially in her voice, and how her presence in the creative space has evolved. She shared, “I’ve been having to try and convince myself that it’s ok and that I haven’t lost it. It’s just different… The way that I exist in the room is different, my voice has completely changed since then… The voice-changing thing is a trip. It’s all kind of shocking.”

As she continues to navigate this creative journey, Eilish is gradually becoming more accepting of change. She expressed, “I’ve gotten a little bit more like, ok, it’s just change and I’m figuring that out.”

Michael Cera Reflects On Securing The Role Of Allan In ‘Barbie’

One of the standout performances in the Greta Gerwig-directed movie ‘Barbie’ was delivered by Michael Cera in the role of Allan. The former ‘Arrested Development’ star has opened up about the process of securing his role alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Michael Cera shared in an interview, “The casting happened quite unexpectedly.” “My manager received an inquiry about my availability for a movie. It was the Barbie film directed by Greta Gerwig, and it was set to shoot in London for about four months. He contacted me and said, ‘I heard about this Barbie movie. Greta Gerwig is directing, but it’s in London, so I assumed you wouldn’t be interested.’”

Michael Cera added, “I was taken aback, and I said, ‘Wait! What do you mean? Call them back!’ While he didn’t completely miss the opportunity, he did manage to temper their expectations about my interest. I responded, ‘How could I not be interested? I must do it!’”

Taking a proactive approach, Cera managed to get Gerwig’s email address from a mutual acquaintance. He sent her a message expressing his interest in the film and his desire to be part of it.

“She responded, ‘Let’s connect on a Zoom call immediately. Here’s the link; I’ll be available for the next hour,’” Cera recounted.

“She was just hanging out on the Zoom call, saying, ‘Click the link whenever you’re ready.’ We had a conversation, and things moved quite swiftly from there.”

As a counterpart to the Ken doll, Mattel introduced the Allan doll in 1964. He was marketed as Ken’s buddy who could wear Ken’s outfits.

In the early 1990s, Allan resurfaced with the names Alan and as the groom for Barbie’s friend Midge.

In the early 2000s, Alan featured in the Barbie Happy Family line alongside his pregnant wife Midge.

Original Snow White Director’s Son Criticizes Live-Action Remake

The live-action remake of Snow White has recently faced strong criticism from David Hand, the son of one of the co-directors of the original 1937 animated film. In an interview, Hand expressed his disapproval of the remake, describing it as “woke.”

Hand referred to the remake as a “whole different concept” and stated, “It’s a disgrace.” He criticized the film for attempting to introduce new elements to something that was already a significant success in the past.

“Their thoughts are just so radical now. They change the stories; they change the thought process of the characters… They’re making up new woke things, and I’m just not into any of that,” Hand elaborated.

He further expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, “I find it quite frankly a bit insulting [what] they may have done with some of these classic films.” Hand concluded by suggesting that his father and Walt Disney would not approve of these changes.

On the other hand, Rachel Zegler, who stars in the remake, discussed the differences between the new movie and the original story in a previous interview. Zegler noted that her character’s portrayal in the original cartoon wouldn’t resonate with today’s audience and mentioned, “We did a really deep dive into fixing and making a modern woman out of Snow White.”

Zegler also highlighted changes made to the character’s age and independence, stating, “I think she’s 13 in the original cartoon, so we started there and said, ‘No, she’s 18 in this one.’ She’s a bit more independent.”

Adele Reflects On Dealing With Caffeine Withdrawal Symptoms

Adele has recently spoken about the intense symptoms of caffeine withdrawal she experienced when she decided to stop consuming coffee for a week.

As per the repots, the acclaimed singer shared with her Las Vegas audience that she had chosen to give up her beloved hot beverage for the week, but found it to be more challenging than quitting smoking.

Adele humorously remarked that adrenaline and caffeine “must be the same thing as she always feels better after taking to the stage.” However, after quitting coffee, she suffered from “migraines” and “shakes.”

In her own words, Adele said to her fans, “I decided this week to stop drinking coffee and I’ve had a migraine all week.” She went on to reveal that she endured a “splitting headache for two days” due to the abrupt discontinuation.

“It felt like there was a drill inside my head. It was quite intense,” the singer of “Easy On Me” disclosed.

Adele went on to draw parallels between coffee and cigarettes, noting that the process was more challenging than quitting smoking or alcohol. She stated, “I’m shocked by how intense these withdrawal symptoms are. I won’t give in now.” The “Skyfall” artist also shared that she used to drink around “25 decafs a day” in order to simulate the effects of actual coffee consumption on her brain.

Reflecting on the connection between caffeine and adrenaline, Adele added, “Caffeine and adrenaline must be the same thing because the minute I came on stage and you all started singing back at me, my headache has gone a little bit.”

Addressing her occasional physical discomfort on stage, she reassured her audience, “So, if you see me having the shakes, don’t worry. Don’t be concerned. I’ve also been trying to fix it with sugar.”

In a previous interview with The Sun in 2015, Adele also discussed her smoking habit, admitting, “I’d probably have died from a smoking-related illness and I think that’s really bad. If I was dying from lung cancer I would have potentially given it to myself and that wouldn’t be something I’d be proud of.”

Jailer Box Office Triumph: Rajinikanth’s Film Soars To ₹500 Crore Globally!

In just 10 days since its release, Rajinikanth’s action-packed movie “Jailer” has achieved an impressive worldwide gross of ₹500 crore. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, “Jailer” has joined the exclusive ₹500 crore club, making it the third Tamil film to do so after “2.0” (2018) and “Ponniyin Selvan: I” (2022). As per early estimates, “Jailer” earned ₹18 crore nett in India across all languages on its tenth day. The Tamil film has been dubbed into Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Initially releasing on August 10 with a ₹48.35 crore nett opening across all languages, “Jailer” has now garnered approximately ₹263.9 crore nett in India so far. After a ₹10.05 crore nett collection on Friday, the film experienced a significant surge on Saturday, amassing ₹18 crore nett. During its opening week, the film had collected ₹235.85 crore nett in India across all languages.

The global collection of the film is equally remarkable. This Rajinikanth-starrer marks the third Tamil movie to surpass the ₹500 crore benchmark. Impressively, it ranks as the second-fastest film to achieve this feat, trailing only behind “2.0,” which starred Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared on Twitter along with a poster of “Jailer” featuring Rajinikanth, “BREAKING: Jailer hits ₹500 crore. Janhvi Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with the successful romantic drama “Dhadak,” where she was paired opposite Ishaan Khatter. She gained recognition for her roles in acclaimed films such as “Gunjan Saxena,” “Roohi,” “Mili,” and others. Her recent performance in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Bawaal,” where she portrayed an epileptic patient, earned her considerable praise. Now, Janhvi has expressed her interest in exploring glamorous roles and diving into comedy, a departure from the challenging roles she has been taking on.

During an interview, Janhvi Kapoor discussed the expectations that followed her after “Dhadak,” particularly regarding conventional and glamorous roles. She acknowledges the potential of such roles to gather popularity and expand an actor’s reach. Despite this, she consciously opted for challenging roles to push her acting boundaries and establish her acting prowess.

Janhvi Kapoor recognizes that she has been immersed in narratives centred around pain and adversity, which has led her to feel a bit overwhelmed. As a remedy, she intends to reconnect with her artistic essence by delving into glamorous roles and exploring the realm of comedy. She stated, “I want to look good and dance a little bit on screen because somewhere along this journey, I forgot that is what comes naturally to me the most. So, I think it is time for me to go back to my natural state for a bit.”

After a cameo appearance in the song of “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” Janhvi’s next venture is Sharan Sharma’s sports drama “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” where she stars alongside Rajkummar Rao. The film is scheduled for release on March 15, 2024. Additionally, she is leading the cast in the patriotic thriller “Ulajh,” the first look of which has already been unveiled. She is also set to make her Telugu debut in the movie “Devara,” alongside Junior NTR and Saif Ali Khan, directed by Koratala Siva and slated for an April 5 release next year. Furthermore, she is reported to be part of the action entertainer “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
