Kalki 2898 AD, formerly known as Project K, has achieved an extraordinary milestone by becoming the first-ever Indian film to debut at the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con. The film’s production company, Vyjayanthi Movies, recently released a captivating video that chronicles the incredible journey of Kalki 2898 AD from its early stages as Project K to its triumphant global debut.

The short but emotionally charged video captures the essence of the moment, bringing the audience up close and personal with the euphoria felt by fans during the film’s premiere at Comic-Con. Although Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t physically attend the event, he joined the team via Zoom, adding to the excitement.

However, fueled by positive word of mouth, the film witnessed strong growth over the weekend, culminating in a respectable weekend collection of ₹44.50 crores nett.

As the weekdays rolled in, the film showcased a remarkable trend, maintaining its momentum without any drop in collections, even surpassing some all-time blockbusters like “Pathaan,” “Dangal,” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan.” The support from corporate bookings has been steady since the opening day and is likely to continue till Wednesday, contributing significantly to the film’s success.

Putting an end to the speculations surrounding the film’s fate, it has been confirmed that OMG 2 will not undergo any cuts. Following the discussions with the censor board officials, the filmmakers decided to modify certain scenes, dialogues, and characters to meet the board’s requirements, but without compromising the integrity of the storytelling.

The release date for OMG 2 remains unchanged, and the film is all set to hit the screens on August 11, 2023. She recalled feeling restless when the wedding pundit was taking an excruciatingly long time to complete the rituals. In response to her impatience, she playfully urged her husband, Ajay Devgn, to request the pandit to hasten the proceedings.
