Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held discussion with his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Hanif Atmar during his visit at Kabul alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan today.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Afghan Foreign Minister discussed bilateral cooperation, regional peace and security situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In his remarks, FM Qureshi said Pakistan has always been supportive of the dialogue process for durable peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The Afghan FM Mohammad Hanif appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for the Afghan peace process.

PM Imran’s Kabul visit: Prosperity is the right of Afghan people, says Shibli Faraz

Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Afghanistan will help promoting bilateral cooperation and contacts between two countries.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Shibli Faraz said that the premier is an advocate of peace in the region.

He further added that the peoples of both Pakistan and Afghanistan have rendered immense sacrifices in the war on terrorism.

He said peace, development and prosperity is the right of Afghan people.

Earlier in a day, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had a one-on-one meeting.

According to sources, the one-on-one meeting between PM Imran and the Afghan President discussed issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the Afghan peace process.

Guard of honour was presented to the Prime Minister upon his arrival and the national anthems of the two countries were played during the reception.

Pak-Afghan trade and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Thursday arrived in Kabul to hold talks with the Afghan leadership on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and the Afghan peace process.
