Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri condoles the demise of Khadim Rizvi

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi has passed away aged 54.

According to the details, Khadim Rizvi had respiratory issues for some days which led to his illness.

A team of doctors reexamined the leader’s body after his son said he felt a movement in his arm.

Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has expressed deep grief over the demise of the TLP leader. In his condolence message, the Minister prayed for the departed soul.

He said the services of Rizvi for Islam will be remembered for a longer period.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has condoled the sad demise of preacher Khadim Rizvi.

Taking to Twitter, the premier wrote, “On the passing of Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi my condolences go to his family. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.”

Moreover, PTI leader Senator Faisal Javed also confirmed the death of Khadim Hussain Rizvi and prayed that Allah Almighty grant him a place in heaven, elevate his ranks.

Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, head of Pakistan Ulema Council, while expressing condolences on the demise of the TLP leader, termed it a tragedy.

Karachi University all set to announce new admissions on Nov. 23

The University of Karachi (KU) is all set to announce admissions to several departments for 2021 on November 23, a press release said on Thursday.

“The University of Karachi would announce the admission for the year 2021 on November 23, 2020, and entry test base admissions would be offered in Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening), Doctor of Physical Therapy (morning), Department of Visual Studies, and various bachelors and masters degree programme in the morning shift,” the statement said.

Moreover, the university’s vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, has announced a 50% increase in the students’ admission fund due to the pandemic situation in Pakistan.

He said that KU would facilitate candidates who are facing financial problems.

“Students who could not secure admission at the university due to their financial situation would now be able to get admission.”

The admission fund aims to cater to those students who are unable to afford the admission fee.

“The educational year of many students is wasted as they do not have the capacity to pay admission and tuition fees,” the vice-chancellor said.

Furthermore, the students strictly advised to follow the SOPS issued by the governments to safeguard against COVID-19.

BISE Faisalabad: Matric annual exam to begin from March 6, 2021

The Matric annual examination (9th and 10th) under the aegis of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad will begin from March 6, 2021.

According to the board’s website, the online submission of forms is in progress and the candidates can submit their forms with a single fee until 10 December.

The forms can be submitted from December 11 to 21 with double fee and from December 22 to 29 with triple fee.

Necessary details are also uploaded at the official website.

Also, (BISE) Lahore has announced that the Matric annual examination for 9th and 10th will commence from March 6, 2021.

According to the BISE Lahore spokesperson, the online submission of forms is in progress and the candidates can submit their forms with a single fee until 10 December.

He added that the forms can be submitted from 11 Dec to 21 December with a double fee and from 22 Dec to 29 Dec with the triple fee.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Thursday received a signed cricket from Afghan cricket team during his visit to Kabul, according to the the Prime Minister’s office.

According to the details, Afghanistan National Cricket team presented a signed bat to Prime Minister Imran Khan. President Ashraf Ghani was also present. 

Imran Khan, a cricketer-turned-politician, was the Pakistani captain who had led the country to victory during the 1992 World Cup.

While addressing a joint press conference with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, the premier said Pakistan will fully support to end violence and establish durable peace in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan has played its role in getting started first the Talban’s talks with the Americans and then for intra-Afghan dialogue.

Imran Khan said the people of Afghanistan have suffered violence for four decades.

He said the erstwhile FATA region of Pakistan was also devastated by the war on terror and the livelihood of the tribesmen was badly affected.

The Prime Minister said the peoples on both sides of the border want peace, trade and connectivity.

He said this trade and connectivity between the two countries will increase in days to come.

Speaking on the occasion, the Afghan President said he had very productive engagement with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said a comprehensive political settlement for enduring peace within the framework of our values and our constitution is the future of Afghanistan.

He said violence is not the answer to any conflict.

Ashraf Ghani said we can move forward and a comprehensive ceasefire can be achieved.
