University of Karachi declares BCom Part I External 2019 result

The Controller of Examinations University of Karachi Dr Syed Zafar Hussain announced the result of the BCom Part-I (External), Annual Examination 2019.

As per the results issued, 2,111 candidates were registered of which 1, 867 students appeared in the exams and 177 candidates were declared pass.

The overall passing percentage stood at 9.48%.

Earlier on November 18, results of MEd (morning) and MEd (evening) — both first and second year — for the annual examination of 2019 announced by the University of Karachi.

According to the details, 14 candidates cleared their exams with an A-1 grade, 142 students received A grades, while 27 candidates were awarded a B-grade. The overall pass percentage remained 90.15%.

Meanwhile, 41 candidates were registered and appeared in the MEd (Evening) First Year Annual Examination 2019 out of which 38 students cleared the exams. The overall pass percentage was 92.68%.

According to Karachi University’s Controller of Examinations Dr Syed Zafar Hussain, around 207 candidates were registered for the MEd (Morning) Annual Examination 2019, out of which only 203 appeared in the exam.

Furthermore, 42 candidates were registered in the MEd (Evening) Second Year Annual Examination 2019, out of which only which 41 students appeared in the exam.

As per the details, one candidate cleared the papers with an A-1 grade, 25 students passed with an A grade, while seven candidates got a C grade. The overall pass percentage was 80.49%.

The University of Karachi (KU) is all set to announce admissions to several departments for 2021 on November 23, a press release said on Thursday.

“The University of Karachi would announce the admission for the year 2021 on November 23, 2020, and entry test base admissions would be offered in Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening), Doctor of Physical Therapy (morning), Department of Visual Studies, and various bachelors and masters degree programme in the morning shift,” the statement said.

Moreover, the university’s vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, has announced a 50% increase in the students’ admission fund due to the pandemic situation in Pakistan.

He said that KU would facilitate candidates who are facing financial problems.

“Students who could not secure admission at the university due to their financial situation would now be able to get admission.”

The admission fund aims to cater to those students who are unable to afford the admission fee.

“The educational year of many students is wasted as they do not have the capacity to pay admission and tuition fees,” the vice-chancellor said.

Furthermore, the students strictly advised to follow the SOPS issued by the governments to safeguard against COVID-19.
