TikToker Kevin Smith called it “one of the funniest things”, sarcastically listing her filmography: “May I ask the age-old question, ‘for what? What did she do to earn this?’ Was it her scintillating role in Red Notice? Or performance of a lifetime in Netflix’s Heart of Stone? Or Joss Whedon’s Justice League?” The comment section echoed similar sentiments, with one user stating, “She can’t even act. It’s torture to watch her.”

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony was disrupted by both pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian protesters, leading to a delay and police intervention. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators held signs and chanted against Israeli military actions, citing recent casualties in Gaza, while pro-Israeli supporters defended Gadot and expressed grief over the October 7 attack.

The controversy surrounding Gadot’s recognition intensified online, with critics condemning her support for Israel and her past military service.

Pakistani author Fatima Bhutto denounced her award, referencing Israeli attacks on Gaza that resulted in significant civilian casualties. Social media users accused Gadot of hypocrisy, arguing that she promotes love and kindness while remaining silent on Palestinian suffering. The situation worsens when the Evil Queen’s Magic Mirror declares that Snow White, not her stepdaughter, is “the fairest of them all.”

In an attempt to escape her evil stepmother, Snow White flees to the forest, where she meets the Seven Dwarfs and joins forces with them to bring positive change. The trailer concludes with the Evil Queen, disguised as an old woman, offering Snow White a poisoned apple.

While many fans are praising Gadot’s casting, some remain skeptical, especially in comparison to previous portrayals of the Evil Queen. One user defended the casting, saying, “I mean she’s more accurate to the animation Evil Queen than they were. I agree they are great in their respective roles but we haven’t seen the full scope of Gal’s version yet. I know people don’t like her (which I totally understand) but it will be interesting to see her version.”

The film has also sparked controversy over the casting of Rachel Zegler as Snow White, a Latina actor in the traditionally white role, as well as for not casting dwarf actors as the Seven Dwarfs.

Shazam 2 director David F. Sandberg admits he wasn’t sure whether Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman would make it to the DCU film.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods has been in theatres since last Friday, but it has received a mixed reception at the box office. The film, directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, was in the headlines for various reasons, including Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman appearance. If Gal is unable to attend the film, the director has revealed that he has a backup plan. Helen Mirren, who also appears in Shazam 2, was his backup plan.

Helen takes up the role of Hespera, one of Atlas’ daughters. Sandberg was worried whether he could acquire Gal for the needed appearance because to the transfer of power at the DC Studios. That is what prompted him to devise a backup plan.

According to a report, after the newly formed DCU gave no confirmation about whether Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will be a part of it, the Shazam 2 director had to make changes to the script. Sandberg said, “So for this one, Wonder Woman was in the script and I was like, ‘It’s not really gonna happen.’ I mean, it makes sense because of the mythology and the Greek gods and everything, but it’s like, ‘I don’t believe it’s gonna happen.’”

Speaking about his alternate plan for the Shazam 2, Sandberg revealed, “It’s like, ‘Sure. Yeah.’ So that’s when I started thinking, ‘Okay, so when we don’t get her, how do we solve it?’ Because it’s such a big– we have to have it in the movie. So I was like, ‘Okay, we need some other god then, I guess. Can we have [Helen Mirren’s] character actually survive? It’s gonna be so lame if she shows up.’ But that was sort of my Plan B.”

Fortunately, director Gal Gadot made it for Shazam 2, and fans got to witness Wonder Woman in the picture, which might be the final time they see her as the Amazonian Princess.

On Thursday, Alia posted photos of herself on her birthday with the simple comment “THIRTY”. Gal wished her a happy birthday in the comments area and said, “Ma”. Lilly Singh, a YouTuber, also left congratulations for Alia in the comments.

Earlier, Gal responded to Alia’s post announcing the birth of her daughter in November of last year by writing “Congratulations” and adding a heart emoticon and party confetti images. When Alia was expecting her first child last year, Gal joined her on the Heart of Stone set.

Also, Alia had mentioned how well-cared-for she had been while filming the movie in London and other parts of Europe. “I was shooting an action movie for the first time, so it was my first big-budget Hollywood production in the English language. But there were so many layers for me to manage because I’m also expecting. Yet they handled everything for me in a seamless, simple, and comfortable manner. I will never forget that because of how brilliantly and well I was treated, she said in an interview with Variety last year.

Alia recently traveled to Kashmir to complete the filming of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Filmmaker Karan Johar decided to shoot some scenes in Kashmir before the movie opens in theaters in July even though she had finished the shot before giving birth to Raha. It will now be released on July 28 instead of April as originally planned. Ranveer Singh and Alia’s Gully Boy co-star will reappear together. Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi also appear in the movie.

Fast X trailer getting legacy of the original cast back together

Fans of the franchise are feeling particularly sentimental as Fast X approaches. The 2009 film Fast and Furious, in which Dom and Brian worked together to take down a drug lord, is the most recent movie to receive a trailer. Dom and the crew take us back to Mexico in the trailer. Gal Gadot, Paul Walker, and other stars are featured in the action-packed clip, which successfully appeals to nostalgia.

It sheds attention on the comic relief and emotional stakes between Dom and Brian, which were the high points of the movie following the events of the previous movies.

The new film will be the tenth in the iconic Fast franchise, which has received a tremendous amount of support from fans. The Toretto family will make a comeback in Fast X as they battle Dante and Cipher (Charlize Theron) (Jason Momoa). There is no end to how far the movies will go to protect the one thing that matters beyond all else: family. In the most recent movie, Fast 9, the group used a rocket car to destroy a satellite in deep space.

Netflix released the first image from its upcoming action movie Heart of Stone. Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Alia Bhatt all make their Hollywood debuts in this movie. The video includes both the initial movie footage and various behind-the-scenes looks at the intense action scenes. On Netflix’s YouTube page, the video was unveiled during Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event. Over 120 titles on the platform from all over the world were announced or teased/trailered at the event. The next section of the video provides a behind-the-scenes look at some of the action and stunt scenes from the movie as well as a preview of how they will appear in the finished product.

After a brief flash of Alia Bhatt, who is making her Hollywood debut with the movie, and Jamie Dornan, there are multiple glimpses of fast-paced action scenes. Heart of Stone promises to be a very epic novel. It’s a very real, gritty action thriller. Gal Gadot, who performs the lead role of CIA operative Rachel Stone, said that they really wanted to make sure we kept it realistic so that viewers could experience the suffering.

In the BTS footage from the movie, Alia Bhatt, who is making her international film debut, is heard saying, “It has these characters that you connect with and feel for.” Aside from revealing her character’s name in the movie, Keya Dhawan, the video offers little more information about her.

While very pregnant, Alia shot several action scenes for the movie. Earlier this year, images of the actress filming scenes with her apparent baby belly appeared online. In an interview with Variety, Alia remarked, “It was my first Hollywood big English picture experience and I had quite a task at hand because I was shooting for the first time an action movie. But I’m also pregnant so there were so many layers for me to deal with. But they made it so seamless and so easy and so comfortable for me. It’s something that I will never forget because of how beautifully and how well I was treated.”

The Tom Harper-directed film Heart of Stone is intended to be the first instalment in a series akin to Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible. The movie also stars Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighöfer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready in addition to Gal, Jamie, and Alia. The movie will debut on Netflix the following year.

For Gal Gadot’s husband, Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy is a “wonderful omen” for “Heart of Stone.”

In a recent interview with Filmfare, the Bollywood legend discussed her experience being pregnant during the filming of her first film in Hollywood.

“They (the film’s team) were really accommodating and it makes me feel very grateful,” the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor told the publication.

“Because again I was shooting my first action movie and there was a stunt but they all knew and they were all very safe,” she added. “I had doubles and I was made to feel very comforted.”

“And that’s all that matters especially if you are doing it for the first time. It was a really fun experience,” Bhatt shared.

The actor went on to talk about the Wonder Woman actor and her hubby’s “lovely” reaction to her pregnancy.

“In fact when I called up Gal and I told her, I said, ‘I’m pregnant and I’m coming’, she was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s gonna be amazing’. She had such a lovely reaction,” Bhatt revealed.

“Her husband Jaron was with her and he was like, ‘This is a good omen, this is a good thing that means like everything’s gonna go really well, its lovely for the movie,'” said the actor.

Concluding her statement, Bhatt, who is expecting her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor, said, “They were so lovely so supportive.”

The Tom Harper-helmed spy thriller will premiere on Netflix and also feature Jamie Dornan in a key role.
