Karisma has also begun filming for the Maddock films production Murder Mubarak. Homi Adajania is the director of the movie. She most recently appeared with Sanjay Suri, Sandhya Mridul, Shilpa Shukla, and Shruti Seth in the web series Mentalhood (2020).

Neetu’s next appearance will be in Sunny Kaushal and the upcoming movie Letters to Mr. Khanna. The movie, which was directed by Milind Dhaimade, is billed as a “coming-of-age drama” that would depict the endearing and relatable bond between a mother and her son. Lionsgate India Studios is in charge of its production. The movie has yet to have its official release date announced.

Alia Bhatt’s family protested to the media portal sharing private photos taken inside her home as “exclusive” and criticized it for showing “disregard for a person’s privacy.” While Alia’s mother, actor Soni Razdan, urged for quick action, Shaheen Bhatt described it as “terrifying” and claimed that if Alia hadn’t been famous, it would have been termed “harassment.”

Soni Razdan posted on Instagram Stories, “I’m shocked and appalled by this egregious disregard for someone’s privacy. Are we actually becoming “that country” at this point? When it comes to “understanding the image,” where do all of our cultural conventions just vanish? I hope this can be addressed quickly.”

Shaheen wrote a letter to express her dissatisfaction. On her Instagram Stories, she commented, “So now it’s entirely acceptable to use zoom lenses to see into people’s homes while hiding in nearby structures to create “content”? mature dudes. having cameras. skulking across the street. taking covert pictures of a woman who is NOT AWARENESS. DESPITE her CONSENT. her OWN House.”

Shaheen Bhatt reacted to the incident on her Instagram Stories.

She went on to say, “The fact that the individual in the picture is famous does not in any way excuse this. If this were any other circumstance, involving any other person, it would be regarded as harassment and a serious invasion of privacy. That’s what it is, then. It’s truly frightening how little basic human decency exists nowadays.”

Neetu Kapoor, an actor, and Alia’s mother-in-law both responded to the event on Instagram Stories. “This is not right,” she said in response to a screenshot she shared of Alia’s story. She eventually removed it, perhaps to stop the images from being circulated further.

Alia wrote about how she was photographed inside her home and posted a copy of a social media post about it. Alia commented on Instagram Stories in shock about the incident, “Are you kidding me? When I sensed someone observing me, I was at home spending a completely ordinary afternoon in my living room. When I raised my head, I noticed two men on the terrace of the building next to me, looking directly at me with a camera. What kind of world does this fit into? Someone’s privacy has been blatantly violated! All lines were crossed today, and there are some things you should never do. The Mumbai Police were also mentioned in her post.

Then, she removed the post to stop them from spreading further. Many of her industry peers also complained about the media platform for violating their privacy on social media after having similar situations.

Along with her daughter Riddhima, granddaughter Samara, and son-in-law Bharat, Neetu rang in the new year in Dubai in 2023. Neetu posted a clip from New Year’s Eve on Instagram Reels. She wore a glittering pair of leggings, a black shirt, and black shoes. For the party, Riddhima chose black leather coordinates. Holding Bharat’s hands, Riddhima and Neetu entered the building. Neetu most recently appeared in the movie Jugjugg Jeeyo with Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Varun Dhawan. At the box office, the movie was a success. She will play the mother of actor Sunny Kaushal in the 2023 movie Letters To Mr. Khanna.

Amitabh dedicates famed Deewaar speech to mother at concert

In a rare video posted on Twitter in honor of the 48th anniversary of the 1975 Hindi film Deewaar, Amitabh Bachchan performs a memorable performance for his mother Teji Bachchan. The actor pleased the audience by devoting his speech to his mother while performing at the Jumma Chumma abroad concert in 1991. In Yash Chopra’s Deewaar, Shashi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Nirupa Roy, and Parveen Babi also starred.

An Amitabh fan shared the video on Twitter with the caption, “Amitabh Bachchan Performing on stage his monologue from the film Deewaar ~ Dynamic & Powerful @SrBachchan (Jumma Chumma Concert 1991) Must watch ! 48 years of #Deewaar.” Walking on stage, the actor addresses the audience and shares, “This one is from a scene that is a particular favourite of mine. And it also happens to be a favourite of my mother’s and my mother is somewhere there in the audience today and I dedicate this piece for her.”

As he describes the scene’s setting, he introduces the audience to his character Vijay. He visits the temple to offer prayers for his sick mother. The famous opening line of the monologue is “You must be very pleased today,” which is pronounced “Aaj khush toh bahut hoge tum.” Vijay rarely goes to the temple, but he makes an exception for his mother, a devoted follower. He pleads for her to get better quickly and declares that he will accept any punishment in order to protect her.

Fans commented that they got goosebumps at Amitabh‘s rendition of the famous scene. One fan wrote, “Superb ultimate wowww.” Written by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, Deewaar featured Amitabh’s Vijay as a top smuggler of Mumbai, while Shashi played his brother, a police officer. Nirupa plays their mother who is torn between her love for her sons on opposite sides of the law.

The award-winning film picked up seven Filmfare Awards in 1976, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue, Best Director, Best Sound, Best Story, and Best Supporting Actor for Shashi. Amitabh and Nirupa were also nominated for their performances but it was Shashi and the other iconic line, ‘Mere paas maa hain (I have my mother),” that ended up with the trophy.

Neetu celebrated the day by posting an old family photo of their children Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor. On April 30, 2020, Rishi Kapoor passed away after a protracted illness. Neetu uploaded a picture from Ranbir and Riddhima’s early years on Sunday along with the comment, “Time flies… only memories…,” in memory of her late spouse.

The seasoned actor was dressed in a pair of blue shorts, a white T-shirt, and a hat in the flashback image Neetu shared on Instagram to commemorate her and Rishi’s wedding anniversary. In a photo of their family taken when they were little, Riddhima and Ranbir Kapoor were both wearing casual clothing and headgear. Mickey Mouse appeared on a graphic T-shirt that the late Rishi Kapoor was wearing. The four members of the family smiled for the camera as background fresh pink and white flowers, perhaps from a getaway. Riddhima added several heart emojis to the image. As they left comments on Neetu’s post wishing the pair a happy wedding anniversary, many followers thought of Rishi.

Neetu and Rishi Kapoor wed on January 22, 1980. Ranbir was born two years after Riddhima, the couple’s first child, who was born in September 1980. The 1974 movie Zehreela Insaan served as Rishi and Neetu’s first collaborative effort. When she co-starred in the movie with 22-year-old Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor was just 16 years old. Since since time, the duo has appeared in movies like Do Dooni Char, Besharam, Kabhi Kabhie, Rafoo Chakkar, and Amar Akbar Anthony together.

After suffering leukemia for two years, Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, in Mumbai during the Covid-19 lockdown. He was receiving treatment in New York with Neetu and her family just before he passed away. On April 14, 2022, his son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, tied the knot with Alia Bhatt. Raha Kapoor, the couple’s daughter, was born in November 2022. The daughter of Rishi and Neetu, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, is wed to businessman Bharat Sahni of Delhi, and the pair has a daughter named Samara Sahni.

On the sets of Zahreela Insaan, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor initially ran across each other (1974). They were well-known together and appeared in movies like Kabhi Kabhi (1976) and Doosra Aadmi (1976). Before being married on January 22, 1980, they dated for a while. In his 2017 book, the late veteran actor related a story of how his older sister Ritu Nanda introduced Neetu to the family and arranged for their engagement. In his autobiography, Rishi admitted that he was apprehensive about telling his parents, the filmmaker Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna Raj, that he was ever seeing anyone.

He didn’t have to, due to his sister. She planned things in such a way that Rishi Kapoor was taken aback by his own engagement. Rishi revealed in his memoirs that he was unable to tell his parents that he wanted to marry Neetu. He stated, “In retrospect, I wonder if I should have sought treatment from a psychiatrist to work through my feelings. I frequently think that if it hadn’t been for my sister Ritu, I would never have married Neetu, or we would have married much later. I might not have carried our connection to the next level if I had been left to my own devices.”

On the day of his wedding, the actor revealed that he went to Delhi to attend a function for his sister’s family and returned engaged. He remembered reading in the book Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor is an actor. Uncensored, “I had no idea Ritu was plotting and planning with my pals Gogi (filmmaker Ramesh Behl) and Ravi Malhotra (father of Karan Malhotra, the young director of Karan Johar’s 2012 film Agneepath). As I waited to board my aircraft in Mumbai, I ran into Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar, who asked me where I was heading. When I informed him I was going to Delhi for a business meeting, he was surprised.’Don’t pull a fast on me,’ Dilip sa’ab laughed. ‘Aren’t you heading there to get married?’ How prescient Dilip saab’s words proved to be.”

Ritu had also invited Neetu and her mother to an engagement party. Rishi’s family took matters into their own hands, escorting him and Neetu to the mandap and arranging for the exchanging of rings. But because everything was so last-minute, the ring Rishi was wearing with a ‘R’ on it actually belonged to Ravi. Furthermore, he didn’t have to be concerned because his father welcomed Neetu into the family on the same day.

The couple had two children, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and son Ranbir Kapoor, who followed in his parents’ footsteps. Rishi was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and later relocated to New York City for treatment. He died on April 30, 2020. Neetu made a comeback in films after his death with JugJugg Jeeyo (2022)
