Alia Bhatt’s family protested to the media portal sharing private photos taken inside her home as “exclusive” and criticized it for showing “disregard for a person’s privacy.” While Alia’s mother, actor Soni Razdan, urged for quick action, Shaheen Bhatt described it as “terrifying” and claimed that if Alia hadn’t been famous, it would have been termed “harassment.”

Soni Razdan posted on Instagram Stories, “I’m shocked and appalled by this egregious disregard for someone’s privacy. Are we actually becoming “that country” at this point? When it comes to “understanding the image,” where do all of our cultural conventions just vanish? I hope this can be addressed quickly.”

Shaheen wrote a letter to express her dissatisfaction. On her Instagram Stories, she commented, “So now it’s entirely acceptable to use zoom lenses to see into people’s homes while hiding in nearby structures to create “content”? mature dudes. having cameras. skulking across the street. taking covert pictures of a woman who is NOT AWARENESS. DESPITE her CONSENT. her OWN House.”

She went on to say, “The fact that the individual in the picture is famous does not in any way excuse this. If this were any other circumstance, involving any other person, it would be regarded as harassment and a serious invasion of privacy. That’s what it is, then. It’s truly frightening how little basic human decency exists nowadays.”

Neetu Kapoor, an actor, and Alia’s mother-in-law both responded to the event on Instagram Stories. “This is not right,” she said in response to a screenshot she shared of Alia’s story. She eventually removed it, perhaps to stop the images from being circulated further.

Alia wrote about how she was photographed inside her home and posted a copy of a social media post about it. Alia commented on Instagram Stories in shock about the incident, “Are you kidding me? When I sensed someone observing me, I was at home spending a completely ordinary afternoon in my living room. When I raised my head, I noticed two men on the terrace of the building next to me, looking directly at me with a camera. What kind of world does this fit into? Someone’s privacy has been blatantly violated! All lines were crossed today, and there are some things you should never do. The Mumbai Police were also mentioned in her post.

Then, she removed the post to stop them from spreading further. Many of her industry peers also complained about the media platform for violating their privacy on social media after having similar situations.
