Speaking on Jay Shetty’s podcast, Alia revealed a special habit she has developed—writing daily emails to Raha. These messages include memories, photos, and videos, creating a digital time capsule for her daughter to look back on in the future. Discussing the complexities of parenting, she admitted, “I know I can’t be a perfect parent. I can only try to be good enough. But I have to be present, understand her emotions, instill values, and at the same time, let her be herself.”

She also acknowledged the challenges and anxieties that come with being a mother. “I constantly juggle different thoughts—whether she’s eating well, sleeping properly, and what the future holds for her,” Alia shared.

Despite having a strong support system, Alia Bhatt admitted that balancing work and motherhood comes with its concerns. “I recognize my privilege and the help I have, but the worry never fades. When I’m away, I often wonder if she’ll pick up something I wouldn’t want her to,” she explained. However, she described parenting as a deeply fulfilling experience. “It’s something I navigate every day, but at the heart of it, it’s pure joy.”

Alia Bhatt also shared an interesting detail about their future plans—she and Ranbir have already picked out a name for a baby boy if they ever have a son.

On March 15, Alia Bhatt turned 30. The actress, who gave birth to Raha Kapoor, her and her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter, last year, opened up about how becoming a mother has affected her in a new interview. Alia credited her November 6, 2022, daughter Raha with providing her with “1000-watt energy” anytime she felt under the weather or had little energy. Raha was born.

Alia also mentioned having “mom guilt” as a first-time mother. It was “very, very normal for most moms,” she continued. She claimed that when Raha was born, Ranbir Kapoor, along with her sister Shaheen Bhatt, mother-actor Soni Razdan, and relatives, visited her frequently to see how she was doing. ‘They made it appear like she was doing the best job,’ Alia claimed.

Alia claimed to have recently discussed her “desire to continually do things to perfection” with sister Shaheen Bhatt. The actor said that she had some “very tough” days as a working mother.

There are times when I truly struggle, she admitted. Yet it is really difficult for me to confess to myself that it is not simple. My mind is cluttered because I have so much on my thoughts. So, one of the things is to rely on other people. Nevertheless, I still can’t let things slide; I need to be on top of everything. Being a mom is a new experience, and anything new or different is never easy. Moreover, it is the most gratifying emotion. Sometimes, if I’m feeling down or lack energy, I only need to glance at my infant to feel like I have a thousand watts of vitality. It is something I decided upon in the end.

In her subsequent remarks, Alia emphasized the value of “a good night’s sleep,” claiming that “sleep is the most crucial thing to reenergize” oneself. The actor added that multitasking is what women are designed to do. Without attempting to seem ‘pompous or arrogant,’ Alia stated that she believed women were ‘natural multitaskers’. The actor continued by saying that she is a woman and “can do it all,” which gives her peace and relief.

Next, Alia will appear with Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. With the August release of the Netflix movie Heart of Stone, Alia will also be making her Hollywood debut.

It was the first time that they had been paired together in the fantasy adventure film.

Luv Ranjan is the director of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which will be released on March 8. Shraddha Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, and producer Boney Kapoor, who is rumored to be making his acting debut with the movie, are also featured in the romantic comedy. When Kapil challenged Ranbir, “Toh ye nahi bole ki thappar maarne ke pehle kyu nahi pucha (Why didn’t you ask him to ask the question before slapping),” the hilarious event left the audience in splits.

In a previous show promo, Ranbir also discussed Raha Kapoor and joked that some family members have commented on how much she resembled her father or her mother Alia Bhatt. The actor’s next appearance will be in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan, starring opposite Shraddha Kapoor in a romantic comedy. After giving birth, the star talked openly about relating to new mothers “who desire to reduce weight.” In addition, Alia discussed her weight reduction since giving birth to Raha and said that the reason for her weight loss was due to the movies.

After Raha was born on November 6, 2022, Alia Bhatt said that she ‘had to lose weight’ because movies ‘are a visual medium’ and she ‘had to look beautiful’. In a recent interview, Alia acknowledged her love of food and talked about the pressure women experience because of social media in today’s world “even before pregnancy.”

 

 

I’d really like to discuss this. Many women struggle with their postpartum appearance. They frequently put a lot of pressure on themselves to resume their previous appearances. I understand that everyone wants to lose weight. Because movies are a visual medium and you need to look well, I love food and I love to eat, but I had to lose weight. You must have a good appearance. Girls worry about their appearance all the time these days, even before getting pregnant, because every picture is posted on social media. Women ought to stop and think about how beautiful their bodies are.

 

 

Alia continued by talking about how new mothers should maintain their bodies “safe” and said that she exercises now for health reasons rather than to lose weight or slim down. It’s not just about getting back in shape, she continued; you also need to strengthen your immune.

 

 

After that, everything will fall into place. I no longer exercise to lose weight or to make my waist appear smaller. I exercise for my health. The goal is to maintain a healthy weight rather than starve oneself by eating unhealthily. I decided not to be too hard on myself, even if I occasionally have a little additional bloating or weight gain. I’m going to have a party for it. I’m not going to torment myself.

 

The actress also provided wellness advice for new mothers in the same interview, advising them to make an effort to stay healthy by eating vegetables, including protein in their diets, practising yoga, and going for walks and runs. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor were recently photographed outside their Mumbai building with their stroller-riding baby Raha. Shaheen Bhatt, Alia’s sister, had also joined them.

 

In April of last year, Alia and Ranbir got married in their Vastu home. On November 6, 2022, Alia had announced the arrival of their daughter. The actor shared his pregnancy news on Instagram with the caption, “And in the happiest news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a wonderful lady she is. Our hearts are overflowing with love; we are blessed and driven parents.”
