Sindh Education Department has on Wednesday issued notification of school and college hours during the month of Ramadan.

As per the notification, the first shift of primary, elementary, secondary will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. On Friday, the first shift of primary, elementary, secondary will be from 10:30 a.m.

Moreover, the second shift of Primary, Elementary, Secondary will be from 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m and for Friday, the second shift of primary, elementary and secondary will begin at 1:15 p.m.

Morning shift hours in higher secondary schools and colleges will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m and on Friday the shift will be till 12 noon.

Evening shifts in higher secondary schools and colleges will be from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm

The times will apply to subordinate public and private schools and colleges, Sindh Education Department said.

Matriculation, Intermediate Exams To Be Held In June Or July

The sub-committee of the Sindh Education Department met on Tuesday to contemplate and propose the dates to conduct examinations of matriculation and intermediate.

According to the details, the meeting was chaired by the secretary of schools. To conduct the exams, it was proposed in the meeting that exams should start from the end of June or the beginning of July.

However, the Sindh Education Department will finalize the exams’ dates after it will consider the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen’s suggestions regarding the exams.

Earlier, the annual exams for class 9th, 10th, and intermediate for the year 2021 were postponed and had to be held between April and June as the country witnessed a major spike in Coronavirus cases.

According to sources, the ninth-tenth and intermediate examinations were likely to be postponed till the month of May.

The previous examination procedure and pattern for the examinations would be followed. Students should continue to prepare according to the routine, sources added.
