The Sindh Education Department has officially declared summer vacations for all schools in the province, including Karachi, scheduled from June 1st to July 31st.
This decision brings relief to both students and teachers who have been enduring the intense heat in recent weeks. The purpose of the summer vacations is to offer a necessary respite from the hot temperatures and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
Earlier, the Punjab government had announced summer vacations for all government and private schools from June 1st to August 14th, setting a precedent for other provinces to follow suit.
In addition to the announcement of summer vacations, the Punjab Education Department has adjusted school timings to alleviate the impact of the severe weather conditions. Under the new schedule, schools will operate from Monday to Thursday, starting from 7:00 am and concluding at 11:30 am. On Fridays, educational activities will take place from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
The Sindh Education Department has clarified that the schedule for summer vacations has been finalized in accordance with the decision of the Steering Committee, dispelling any speculation about an earlier commencement of the summer break.
The announcement of summer vacations has been well-received by students and teachers across Sindh, who appreciate the opportunity for a much-needed break from the oppressive heat. These vacations are expected to offer a refreshing pause in the academic calendar, allowing students to rejuvenate and return to their studies with renewed energy.
