Governor demands formation of high-level commission to probe accidents

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has demanded to the Chief Minister Sindh to form high-level commission to on increasing traffic accidents in the Karachi city.

Governor Sindh wrote a letter to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on increasing traffic accidents in the city.

According to the spokesman, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori expressed concern over the negligent driving of drivers, dumper, truck and water tankers, saying that violations and accidents of traffic laws increased significantly within a few months.

Governor Sindh demanded the Chief Minister to set up a high level commission headed by the Chief Secretary and said that the committee should identify the reasons and determine the responsibilities, effective strategies must be made to prevent such incidents.

Kamran Tessori said in his letter that at present, there are severe anxiety and reservations among the people, urging the government to take immediate and effective steps to ensure the protection of the lives of the citizens.

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has signed a bill for the establishment of special anti-narcotics courts.

The establishment of special anti-narcotics courts is being implemented in the province of Sindh, in this regard, the Governor of Sindh has signed the most important bill.

The Anti-Narcotics Force Bill will legislate for the establishment of special anti-narcotics courts, after which the Anti-Narcotics Force will be able to play a more active role in bringing criminals to justice.

In this connection, Kamran Tessori said this legislation is the need of the hour, drug dealers are making the youth of our society addicted to drugs, the establishment of special courts will help in stopping drug trafficking.

Governor Sindh announces to starts breakfast program for students

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has announced a new initiative to provide free breakfast and milk to school children in the province.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tassori said that now no child will go to school hungry and will spread this program across Sindh.

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, Federal Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui visited Saylani Welfare Trust Chairman Bashir Farooqi in Karachi and discussed providing free breakfast in government schools.

On this occasion, the Governor of Sindh said that he is grateful to Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and the head of the welfare institution. He said that now no child will go to school hungry, he has taken the first step on food security and will take it further.

KARACHI:  Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has expressed hope that street crime will be dropped soon in the city soon.

Additional Inspector General Imran Yaqoob Minhas met Kamran Tessori at the Governor House, in which the role of the police in maintaining law and order was discussed, while the elimination of street crime in the city and other issues were also discussed.

On this occasion, Kamran Tessori said that the protection of people’s life and property is the first priority of the government. He said the Sindh government is making efforts to eliminate street crime and there will be a clear reduction in street crime very soon.

Governor Sindh said that surveillance cameras are of primary importance in crime prevention, people-friendly police behavior is sure to prevent crime and all institutions need to have coordinated and effective communication.

Governor expresses concern over surge in street crimes in Karachi

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has expressed concern over the increase in street crimes in Karachi.

Governor Sindh said that the day before yesterday “I made a statement against street crime, the reply was that you should keep your work, Interior Minister Sindh made a statement that where there is business, there will be crime, but this is not the case in the world”.

The Sindh Governor said that he has written a letter to the Sindh Chief Minister requesting him to take notice of increasing incidents of street crimes in Karachi. He further said dacoit groups are also getting stronger Kacha area of interior Sindh.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori also said that the principles of Madinah State have been implemented in the Governor House and now he is arranging an IT university for 50,000 students.

Governor Sindh rejects pardon appeal of Chairman BIEK

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori rejected the appeal against the punishment of Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) involved in sexual harassment.

According to the spokesperson, Professor Naseem Memon had appealed to the Governor of Sindh to pardon the sentence against the decision, but the Governor of Sindh has ordered an inquiry into the matter while maintaining the sentence.

Despite the reinstatement of the sentence by the Governor, Chairman Inter Board Naseem Memon is still working.

It should be noted that the provincial ombudsman had sentenced Professor Naseem Memon to dismissal and fined for harassing a female teacher, while the caretaker chief minister had dismissed Naseem Memon from the Larkana board on the decision of the provincial ombudsman.

Governor Sindh introduces information and complaint whatsapp

KARACHI:  Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has introduced an information and complaint WhatsApp number to address problems of citizens.

While addressing a press conference in Karachi, Kamran Tessori said that 10,000 applications were received on “Bell of Hope” out of which 5500 citizens’ problems were solved.

He said that now not only Karachi but also from interior Sindh can launch their complains. He said peasants and woman can also lodge complains.

Governor Sindh said that any citizen can submit complain from home through WhatsApp. The complaints against NADRA, police, traffic, K-Electricity, water board, gas or municipal problems can be registered. The QR codes will be placed at airports, police stations and important locations in the city.

He said that in this province “I am fulfilling the responsibility of the constitution and the law”.  He directed the illegal immigrants to leave Pakistan before deadline October 31.

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has sent back the Sindh Social Protection Authority (Amendment) Bill 2023 raising objections.

According to the details, another bill of the previous government was sent back by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori after objecting. The governor returned the Sindh Social Protection Authority (Amendment) Bill 2023.

He raised objections to the bill using the powers conferred under Section 116(2)(b) of the Constitution.

The Sindh Governor objected and said that in the amendment made in Section (3), education, experience, and tenure were not mentioned in nominating the Vice-Chairperson by the Chief Minister. It would be improper practice.

Kamran Tessori further said that extending the fixed term of 4 years to an indefinite term in Section 9 and extending it by another 2 years is against the pre-defined transparent appointment procedure.

He said that reducing the experience of the Chief Executive Officer from 20 years to 15 years and changing the post from 20 grade to 19/20 grade will make a difference in the performance of the said officer.

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has said that business community is ready to stabilize the national economy.

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori while addressing the “My Karachi Oasis of Colours Exhibition at Expo Centre, said that more than 300 exhibitors are participating in this exhibition. He said Siraj Qasim Teli started this exhibition in 2004.

He said, “Pakistan has a lot of resources but we do not know the direction at this time, I ask the rulers to tell our nation what the direction is, while our business community is ready to give stability to Pakistan.”

He said, “”We can do a lot as Allah has blessed us everything, we become good doctors and engineers but we should become good human beings.”

He also said “today I wonder what would have happened if there were no welfare institutions in the country and the middle class has disappeared today due to inflation, while the state has not been able to provide what it had to give.”

Kamran Tessori said that the city is under the control of mafias, whether it is garbage, electricity, gas or water, everything is scattered.

He said that let’s pledge that we will fight these mafias together.

KARACHI: The Jamia Ghazali campus of Jamiat-ul-Rashid, a well-known seminary of Karachi has been granted university status.

Journalists from print and electric media were given a study tour of various departments of Jamia Ghazali University.

The Jamia Ghazali university will be authorised to teach and issue degrees of BBA, MBA, B.Ed, M.Ed., and LLB under the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Law. While in the future medical and engineering departments will also be established in the university.

Regarding the future planning of Jamia Ghazali after Pakistan’s famous Jamia Al-Rashid located in the Gulshan e Maymar area of Karachi, the experts of Jamia Ghazali have said that in the coming days, this educational institution will play an important role in the leadership, economy and all fields.

Experts said that according to the policy of the Sindh government to inculcate the Madaris across Sindh into the mainstream education system, Jamia Ghazali is the first of its kind in Sindh, which has been given the status of a university, which will now equip students with religious and worldly education as well.

Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori signed the charter after the approval of the Al-Ghazali University Charter, a unique educational institution of its kind.

Maulana Ayaz Shah while visiting the various departments of Jamia Al-Rashid and Jamia Ghazali told the journalists that this institution is important from the religious and worldly point of view, and its basic philosophy starts from the Nizami circle, however, keeping in mind the modern trends, experts in other fields including digital media, information technology, and economy are now present in these two universities. The students of Jamia Al Rashid have achieved outstanding performances in several national competitions.

Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has assured that problems faced by educational institutions will be resolved on priority basis.

He was talking to Vice- President College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Prof Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi who called on him in Karachi Saturday.

Governor and Prof Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi discussed issues including the promotion of medical education, the role of the College of Physicians and Surgeons in the training of doctors.

Governor Sindh said CPSP’s role in promoting higher medical education is commendable.

Kamran Tessori further said CPSP trained medical experts are making Pakistan famous all over the world. He also lauded the close cooperation of CPSP with UK and other countries in various medical fields.

He said award of Brain Gain for CPSP is a matter of honor for the country when the doctors return after completing the training. He assured that problems faced by educational institutions will be solved on a priority basis.

The Governor Sindh lauded the role of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in promoting higher education in medical field.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has expressed grave concern over demise of twelve persons of same family from mysterious disease in the area of Rahim Yar Khan.
