KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori rejected the appeal against the punishment of Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) involved in sexual harassment.
According to the spokesperson, Professor Naseem Memon had appealed to the Governor of Sindh to pardon the sentence against the decision, but the Governor of Sindh has ordered an inquiry into the matter while maintaining the sentence.
Despite the reinstatement of the sentence by the Governor, Chairman Inter Board Naseem Memon is still working.
It should be noted that the provincial ombudsman had sentenced Professor Naseem Memon to dismissal and fined for harassing a female teacher, while the caretaker chief minister had dismissed Naseem Memon from the Larkana board on the decision of the provincial ombudsman.

Earlier, Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqir promptly dismissed Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) Chairman Professor Naseem Memon from his position.
The Chief Minister then reinstated Professor Naseem Ahmed Memon as the Chairman of the Larkana Board. Professor Memon will serve as Chairman of the Larkana Board until June 30, 2024, completing the remainder of his tenure.
Simultaneously, Sikander Ali Mirjat, who held the position of Chairman of the Intermediate and Secondary Board Larkana, was swiftly relieved of his duties.
