Court orders blocking CNIC, passports of Moonis Elahi

LAHORE: The Special Central Court Lahore has issued an order to block the identity cards and passports of 6 alleged accused including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Moonis Elahi in the money laundering case.

The money laundering case against Moonis Elahi and other proclaimed offenders   was heard in the Special Central Court Lahore. Special Central Court Judge Tanveer Ahmed heard the Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) ‘s challan.

The court ordered to block the ID cards and passports of 6 advertising accused including Moonis Elahi and ordered to put the names of the accused in the passport control list.

Among the accused are Moonis Elahi, Farast Ali Chatta, Imtiaz Ali Shah, Aamir Sohail and Aamir Fayyaz.

The court also issued an order freezing the properties and bank accounts of Moonis Elahi and Zaigham Abbas and also ordered the freezing of over 26 kanals of land owned by Moonis Elahi in Kasur.

The Special Central Court also ordered the confiscation of a plot and a house in Gulberg area of ​​Lahore in the name of Moonis Elahi.

Moonis Elahi declared PO in money laundering case

LAHORE: The Special Central Court declared former federal minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi as proclaimed offender in the money laundering case and issued a permanent arrest warrant for him.

In the money laundering case, the Special Central Court declared Moonis Elahi’s son of former chief minister Punjab as fugitive. The court also issued permanent arrest warrant for Moons Elahi.

The investigating officer (IO) submitted a report on the property of Moonis Elahi in the court, stating that Moonis Elahi’s property was confiscated.

The investigating officer also submitted a report on the process of declaring Moonis Elahi as proclaimed offender.

Earlier, an accountability court declared former federal minister Moonis Elahi proclaimed offender in money laundering case.

The court also seized all bank accounts of Moonis Elahi, a son of former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Court issues non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi

LAHORE: The local court of Lahore has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi, the son of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi, on the anti-corruption application.

Judicial Magistrate Imran Abid issued a decision on the anti-corruption application. The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi in the Lahore Master Plan case.

Anti-corruption said in the application that Moonis Elahi is not joining the investigation and has gone into hiding.

According to anti-corruption, no progress is being made in the investigation due to the absconding of the accused.

In the petition, the anti-corruption requested that the arrest warrant of the accused be issued.

After the hearing, the court accepted the anti-corruption application.

LAHORE: The Accountability Court has issued a permanent arrest warrant of former federal minister Moonis Elahi, the son of former chief minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi, in the case of kickbacks against government contracts.

The accountability court of Lahore issued a written order in the case and issued a permanent arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi.

The written order states that Moonis Elahi has been declared proclaimed offender for his non-appearance, and permanent warrants are issued for his arrest.

LAHORE: The process of declaring former federal minister Moonis Elahi, the son of President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pervaiz Elahi as a proclaimed offender (PO) has started.

The Accountability Court of Lahore has ordered the publication of an advertisement for Moonis Elahi in an alleged corruption case in development projects.

In the court, the National Accountability Bureau(NAB) said that the accused Moonis Elahi had gone into hiding to avoid arrest and he should be declared a proclaimed offender (PO).

At the request of NAB, the court ordered to start of the process of declaring Moonis Elahi as a proclaimed offender.

Chairman NAB issued an arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi on August 11. The Moonis Elahi is accused of corrupting billions of rupees in development projects.

LAHORE: The Accountability Court of Lahore has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi in the alleged corruption case in development projects.

Accountability Court Judge Naseem Ahmed Virk heard the National Accountability Bureau’s application.

NAB said that Chairman NAB issued a warrant for Moonis Elahi on August 11, efforts were made to arrest the son of former chief minister Punjab, but the accused is deliberately hiding, the accused has not been investigated despite being summoned, it should be declared proclaimed offender.

At the request of NAB, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Moonis Elahi till October 5.

The court adjourned the process of declaring Moons Elahi as a proclaimed offender until the next hearing.

It should be noted that Moonis Elahi, who is abroad, is accused of corruption of billions of rupees in development projects.

RAWALPINDI: National Accountability Bureau(NAB) re-arrested former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi after he was released from Adiala Jail.

According to the details, former Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was released from Adiala Jail on completion of the detention period, NAB had asked for details of records of assets of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi, and his family.

According to NAB sources, NAB has also started an inquiry against Moonis Elahi for assets beyond income.

NAB sources say that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will be taken on remand and shifted to Lahore.

NAB Prosecutor Rafi Maqsood will give arguments on the transit remand. Pervaiz Elahi will be sent to Lahore if the transit remand is approved.

On the other hand, a question was asked the journalist that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is being arrested again and again, to which the PTI president replied, “Let him fulfill his wish”.

It should be noted that the former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was taken out of Camp Jail Lahore on July 19 and taken to adiala Jail. Pervaiz Elahi was detained under 3 MPO and his detention orders were issued by the Deputy Commissioner Lahore for 30 days.

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday lauded former chief minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi for standing with PTI in difficult times despite pressure and offers from powerful circles.

Addressing a press conference, former prime minister Imran Khan said the anti-PTI caretaker government has been formed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said transfer and posting are being done in these provinces regular basis despite the ban. He said the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Caretaker Punjab Government, and PDM are trying to delay elections.

He said fake cases are being registered against PTI leadership and workers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the caretaker governments instead of holding elections in their respective provinces.

Imran Khan said propaganda has been launched against the judiciary to put pressure on courts by the PDM-led government.

He said arrested PTI leaders including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and others shifted to different jails of Punjab. He said a large number of people registered themselves for Jail Bahro Movement and people are ready for the change in the country.

He said the Sharif family and Asif Zardari got relief through the NAB amendment after coming into power. He said PDM led government has badly failed to provide relief to the masses in the last ten months.

GUJRAT: Punjab Police conducted a raid at the house of former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to sources, a heavy contingent of Punjab Police has raided the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s house in Gujrat.

In this regard, the eyewitnesses said that law enforcement agencies(LEA) have raided the residence of former federal minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi and former chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

A heavy contingent of police was present at the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Kunjah and dozens of vehicles and hundreds of personnel cordoned off the residence while police vehicles were patrolling around and outside the residence.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi while talking to Bol News has said that the Punjab government is taking revenge and full vindictive action is being taken against family members.

He said that “We will approach the court against the Punjab government’s action.”
