Court extends physical remand of Pervaiz Elahi

LAHORE: The local court has extended the physical remand of former chief minister Punjab and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi for 2 days.

The judicial magistrate of Lahore heard the case of corruption in Punjab Assembly recruitment against Pervaiz Elahi, in which anti-corruption brought the former chief minister before the court and requested a 12-day physical remand.

The anti-corruption officials told the court that Pervaiz Elahi needs further investigation, so the court should grant remand.

During the hearing, Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer said that according to the supplement, Pervaiz Elahi went to his residence with the anti-corruption team and Pervaiz Elahi recovered Rs 4.1 million from the drawer in his bedroom. The supplement does not mention the time or the departure from the police station.

LAHORE: Former chief minister Punjab and Central President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Imran Khan will have a very important role in the coming politics.

According to the details, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani held a meeting with the former chief minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, in which they jointly agreed to work together regarding peace and order in the country and discussed the current political situation in the country.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said in the meeting that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is a seasoned politician and he should play his role for the country’s stability and development while fulfilling his responsibilities.

Former chief minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that he has always played a positive role in the development and stability of the country and will continue to do so.

He said that Imran Khan will play a very important role in the upcoming politics, due to which Pakistan’s economy will be stable.

LAHORE: Former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the Zaman Park police operation was done on the directives of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.

Talking to the media person at Zaman Park, Pervaiz Elahi strongly condemned Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government and alleged that the police on the directives of PML-N leadership conducted the operation in Zaman Park and ransacked everything without a search warrant.

Pervaiz Elahi said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) will file a contempt of court case against government and will knock on the door of the judiciary.

He said that there was no encroachment here but police raided under IG Punjab’s supervision in Zaman Park residence of Imran Khan. He said Dr. Uzma was present in the house and a search warrant was not shown and her husband was also arrested.

He claimed that this Zaman Park operation is being done at the behest of Maryam Nawaz, what was the encroachment here, someone has set up barriers here. He said this did not even happen in Palestine and Kashmir.

Pervaiz Elahi said the popularity of Imran Khan and PTI is increasing with each passing day.

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday strongly condemned the anti-judiciary campaign by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N).

Former prime minister Imran Khan met former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at Zaman Park.

During the meeting, the current political situation, Jail Bharo Movement, and general election issues were discussed while Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi fully supported the Jail Bharo Movement announced by Imran Khan.

On this occasion, the two leaders condemned the anti-judiciary campaign and said that PML-N is attacking the judiciary according to its tradition and the decision of the Lahore High Court is not being followed.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the ruling coalition is afraid of Imran Khan and his public popularity. He said PMD is violating the constitution by running away from the election.

He said that Imran Khan is a ray of hope for the people of Pakistan, but the Election Commission and governors should remember that if the constitution is broken, the constitution will take its course against him.

On this occasion, Imran Khan said that the rulers are not obeying the constitution and not recognizing the court decisions. He said false cases are being filed against the leadership and workers of PTI.

He said that the incompetent ruling party has resorted to retaliatory actions out of fear of the election, but now party leaders, workers, and people from all over the country will make voluntary arrests under the Jail Bharo Movement.

Punjab Police raids Pervaiz Elahi’s house in Gujrat

GUJRAT: Punjab Police conducted a raid at the house of former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to sources, a heavy contingent of Punjab Police has raided the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s house in Gujrat.

In this regard, the eyewitnesses said that law enforcement agencies(LEA) have raided the residence of former federal minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi and former chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

A heavy contingent of police was present at the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Kunjah and dozens of vehicles and hundreds of personnel cordoned off the residence while police vehicles were patrolling around and outside the residence.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi while talking to Bol News has said that the Punjab government is taking revenge and full vindictive action is being taken against family members.

He said that “We will approach the court against the Punjab government’s action.”
