Ahsan Iqbal hopeful to get complete support from PDM in by-elections

On Saturday, PML-N secretary-general Ahsan Iqbal said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would contest by-elections jointly.

According to the details, Ahsan Iqbal expressed his high hopes while speaking to media in Lahore that PDM’s member parties would give “complete support” to PML-N during by-elections.

“We have decided not to field a candidate in Sindh for by-elections on seats that were won by the PPP,” he added.

Strict action to be taken against anyone speaking against Pak Army

While speaking to the media on Saturday in Rawalpindi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan Sheikh Rasheed said that strict action will be taken within 72 hours against anyone using foul language against the Pak Army or other state institutions.

He also said that an online visa facility has been provided for 192 countries and added that 1.5 million Afghan refugees are allowed to live in Pakistan. He said two hundred thousand illegal cards have been blocked.

He added that two hundred thousand applications were received in a day for online visas.

Moreover, Rasheed also informed the media that 300 mobile vans of NADRA will visit areas across Pakistan to facilitate the masses.

“Eagle Squad, equipped with the latest technology, will soon be introduced for the security of Islamabad.”

Furthermore, he said that the passport of Nawaz Sharif is expiring on the 16th of next month and it will not be extended.

Above all, he warned that strict action will be taken against the people using derogatory remarks against the state institutions.

According to the details, Murad Ali Shah submitted his resignation presented his resignation from the assembly to PPP leadership in Bilawal House, Karachi.

He had earlier said that,

“I am ready to leave my assembly seat in line with the party’s decisions.”

It is pertinent to mention here that all opposition MNAs and MPAs are resigning from assemblies in protest against the government led by Imran Khan.

The handwritten resignation of Murad Ali Shah has been addressed to Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani.

Earlier, the PPP leadership had asked the lawmakers to submit their resignations to Bilawal House. Fazlur Rehman had asked all the PDM leaders to resign from their designations, however, PPP asked its leaders to wait before its Central Executive Committee could make a decision.
