Sheikh Rasheed condemns allegation of drone attack in IOJK

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday rejected an “irresponsible statement” by India’s minister of state for home affairs regarding an alleged drone attack in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK).

Speaking to media officials today, Sheikh Rasheed said Pakistan wants to have good relations with all countries, including India. However, he said, India will have to give the right to self-determination to the oppressed Kashmiris.

“Pakistan has nothing to do with a drone attack in IIOJK, New Delhi should provide evidence supporting its allegations against Pakistan,” he said.

The minister strongly denounced the statement of the Indian minister for state for home affairs and said New Delhi use to put every blame of its failure on Pakistan.

Discussing the Afghanistan issue, Rashid said work on fencing along the border with Afghanistan has been done by eighty-eight percent while forty-six percent on the Iranian border.

The Minister said Pakistan is not allowing anyone to use its land against any country, and other countries should also ensure it.

He said India would desire that peace doesn’t establish in Afghanistan; however, Pakistan has been making sincere efforts for peace in Afghanistan.

Responding to a question, the Interior Minister urged the opposition parties to sit with the government to introduce electoral for transparent elections in the future.

Sheikh Rasheed hoped for peace and stability in Afghanistan after the pulling out of US troops.

TLP declared null and void By The Interior Ministry; notification issued

The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has been declared null and void by the interior ministry here on Thursday.

The interior ministry has issued an official statement about TLP in this regard.

The notification read, “The federal government has reasonable grounds to believe that Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) Pakistan is engaged in terrorism, acted in a manner prejudicial to the peace and security of the country, involved in creating anarchy in the country by intimidating the public, caused grievous bodily harm, hurt and death to the personnel of Law Enforcement Agencies and innocent by-standers, attacked civilians and officials, created wide-scale hurdles, threatened, abused and promoted hatred, vandalised and ransacked public and government properties including vehicles, and caused arson, blocked essential health supplies to hospitals, and has used, threatened, coerced, intimidated, and overawed the government, the public and created sense of fear and insecurity in the society and the public at large.”

TLP declared null and void

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 11B(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, the Federal Government is pleased to list Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan in the First Schedule to the said Act as a proscribed organisation for the purposes of the said Act,” the notification added.

During his visit, the minister overviewed the law and order situation in Islamabad.

“The government intends to install more cameras in Islamabad for security purposes,” he said.

Pakistan, Qatar Eye Strengthen Business Ties, Bilateral Relations

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, who landed in Qatar on Sunday for a two-day official call, hopes to deepen bilateral relations and trade ties between Pakistan and Qatar.

Sheikh Rasheed engages with Qatari Prime Minister Khalid bin Khalifa in Doha today (Monday). Both the leaders have exchanged views on matters related to mutual interest and eye increased manpower in Qatar for security purpose.

Further discussing the Afghan peace process, the interior minister said Pakistan will always stand like a pillar to help maintain peace and stability in Afghanistan.

“Sustainable peace in Afghanistan is a long-standing common objective of Pakistan and Qatar,” he added.

Furthermore, Rasheed also conveyed a message from Prime Minister Imran Khan to his Qatari counterpart Khalid bin Khalifa.

He also attended the Milipol Qatar International Exhibition and visited the Pakistani stall and inspected the products.

Earlier, the minister was greeted by Pakistan’s ambassador in the country at the Doha International Airport.

India’s bemoaning condition proves shameful defeat in Afghanistan: Interior Minister

Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has on Sunday landed in Qatar for a two-day official call.

According to the details, Sheikh Rasheed would send Prime Minister Imran Khan’s message to the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Upon his arrival, the minister was greeted by Pakistan’s ambassador in the country at the Doha International Airport.

According to sources, he would also attend the Milipol Qatar exhibition from March 15-17 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

He is also expected to hold important meetings to discuss mutual matters and bilateral cooperation among the two countries, sources said.

Sources further added that the meeting would also discuss the promotion of trade and increasing Pakistani manpower in the gulf country.

Earlier, Rasheed had said that no one else has done as much as the Prime Minister in rescuing the country from crisis.

He had said after two and a half years Imran Khan’s government has got a new political life.

While giving his speech a funny twist Sheikh Rashid said, “I am a Minister, not a masseur I know how much Imran Khan has worked hard to get this country out of the crisis.”

Interior Minister Hopes Afghan Taliban Will Not Allow TTP To Harm Pakistan

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has on Sunday (today) said that Pakistan’s improved relations with several countries of the world shows the country is progressing under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s leadership.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Sheikh Rasheed said Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh will “win the Senate election.”

“Abdul Hafeez uplifted Pakistan’s declining economy since he took office,” he said, adding that he went to the best universities of the world, including Oxford and Cambridge, and earned a doctorate degree in economics.

The minister further added that Abdul Hafeez converted a $20 billion current account deficit to surplus through his efforts and supported Pakistan’s declining economy.

The PTI gave Abdul Hafeez a ticket for Islamabad’s general seat in the Senate election, and his nomination papers were duly approved by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

He went on to add that online visa services have been started across Pakistan to welcome foreign tourists in the country. He said validity of passport has been increased to 10 years.

Answering a question, Sheikh Rasheed rejected any kind of differences among the PTI ranks.

Replying to a question regarding modernizing Islamabad Police, he said Eagle Squad of the ICT police is being established in the federal capital to curb crimes in the city.

The Eagle Squad will be provided with 100 motorcycles and modern cars to chase and apprehend anti-social elements, Sheikh Rasheed said.

‘Hamza Shahbaz’s release makes no difference’

Answering a question, the interior minsiter said that if PML-N’s Hamza Shahbaz is released from prison, it will not make a difference to the PTI.

“If the court decides to release someone from jails, then how can I say that it took the wrong decision?” Rasheed said.

Strict action to be taken against anyone speaking against Pak Army

While speaking to the media on Saturday in Rawalpindi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan Sheikh Rasheed said that strict action will be taken within 72 hours against anyone using foul language against the Pak Army or other state institutions.

He also said that an online visa facility has been provided for 192 countries and added that 1.5 million Afghan refugees are allowed to live in Pakistan. He said two hundred thousand illegal cards have been blocked.

He added that two hundred thousand applications were received in a day for online visas.

Moreover, Rasheed also informed the media that 300 mobile vans of NADRA will visit areas across Pakistan to facilitate the masses.

“Eagle Squad, equipped with the latest technology, will soon be introduced for the security of Islamabad.”

Furthermore, he said that the passport of Nawaz Sharif is expiring on the 16th of next month and it will not be extended.

Above all, he warned that strict action will be taken against the people using derogatory remarks against the state institutions.
