Imran Khan Holds Meeting With Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Lt. Gen. Anwar Ali Haider has called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today (27th May).

The Prime Minister was apprised of the progress on low-cost housing projects under the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the progress of the projects and their positive impact on the construction and housing sectors in particular.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme is the most important and beneficial project for the development of our country and the youth.

While addressing the live telethon transmission regarding Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, PM Imran said that Pakistan is bound with debt and we are trying to increase our national wealth through these projects for the betterment of our economy.

He further said that the construction of houses will provide employment opportunities to the masses.

The premier said, “For the first time in Pakistan, this project is giving the opportunity to provide the salaried employees their own house.”

PM Imran, while vowing to remove every obstacle in the way of the construction of affordable housing, said that the project of affordable housing is going to accelerate, the project of affordable housing will open the doors of employment.

He went on to add that in Pakistan said that it is not customary to buy a house by taking a loan from banks. However, in other countries including Europe, people buy their own house by taking a loan from banks.

Moreover, the citizens are participating live in the telethon transmission and asking the entire procedure of applying for the loan in the housing scheme.

Also, Minister for Information Shibli Faraz while speaking on the telethon said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to make Pakistan a welfare state.

He said, “Prime Minister’s scheme for low-cost housing is aimed at providing housing facilities to the common people.”

“The success of the scheme depends on the role of the banks,” he said adding, “The government is ensuring that banks facilitate people without any difficulties.”

The Prime Minister and the Egyptian President discussed the Palestinian issue during the telephonic conversation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has praised the Egyptian leadership for its role in the Palestinian cause while condemning Israeli barbarism against innocent Palestinians.

In the conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the desecration of Palestinian women, children and Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has also called for a speedy and immediate solution to the Palestinian issue.

Prime Minister Imran Khan To Visit Lahore Tomorrow

According to the details, Prime Minister will inaugurate the project of affordable houses on Raiwind Road.

International Labour Day is being observed today (Saturday) to honor workers’ tireless assistance and sacrifices globally and promote them to be knowledgeable of their rights.

Labour Day is marked on May 1 every year. The day has its origins in the labour union movement and is celebrated in countries like India, Cuba, China, and others.

Prime Minister took to the micro-blogging site Twitter today (Saturday) and paid tribute to all the industrial, agricultural & informal economy workers, including those working overseas.

“My govt knows the challenges they all face, esp in Covid pandemic, & we are committed to ensuring safer, more secure working conditions & social protection for them”, wrote Imran Khan.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Dr. Arif Alvi, in their separate messages, have recalled the commitment for the protection of rights and welfare of the workers.

They also reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the working and living conditions of workers and the provision of housing and education facilities to them.

In his message, the President pushed workers of the country to come forward and play their role in making Pakistan a symbol of progress.

He said on this day, we reaffirm our resolve to continue our efforts for the dignity of labor and eulogize their valiant and heroic struggle for their fundamental rights.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that as workers’ role is pivotal for the economic development of any country, his government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of economic progress will bring prosperity to the country.

“The day also provides us an opportunity to acknowledge invaluable contributions of our labour,” he said.

He said the Government also aims to develop automated, integrated systems for workers’ welfare institutions to provide relief to the workers.

Imran Khan added, “Our Government is fully aware of the challenges COVID-19 situation and our policy of striking a balance between the lives and the livelihoods is aimed at enabling the workforce to have sufficient earning for their families during the pandemic.”

PM Khan To Visit Saudi Arabia Before or After Eid-Ul-Fitr

On Monday Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Pakistan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia before Eid-ul-Fitr or immediately after it.

According to Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the Kingdom has been confirmed, however, the dates will be announced later.

Earlier in March, Prime Minister Imran Khan had received a telephone call from the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Crown Prince inquired about the Prime Minister’s health and wished him a speedy recovery. PM Imran also inquired about the well-being of Mohammed Bin Salman since he had recently undergone a surgical procedure.

During their conversation, the premier lauded the transformational “Green Saudi Initiative” and the “Green Middle East initiative” recently announced by the Crown Prince in Saudi Arabia.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s “10 billion Tree Tsunami” initiative, which is underway in the whole country, and its potential dividends to restore the ecosystem and combat climate change.

While highlighting the complementarities between both countries’ environmental initiatives, the Prime Minister hoped for enhanced bilateral cooperation and knowledge sharing in this field.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Imran Khan conveyed warm wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

PM Imran, however, reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen amiable and fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia and also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Also, both the leaders agreed to work together to further augment bilateral ties in all spheres.

The Crown Prince also invited the Prime Minister to undertake a visit to Saudi Arabia in the near future.
