PM addresses participants of staff course at Command and Staff College

Prime Minister, Imran Khan visited Quetta today and addressed participants of the staff course at Command and Staff College, Quetta.

While addressing the officers, PM said that Pakistan Army has produced unmatched results when pitched against its adversaries and successfully deterred the nefarious designs of Pakistan’s enemies.

He added that country’s defense is impregnable due to the professionalism and battle-hardened Armed Forces of Pakistan.

PM deliberated at length upon his vision of the future of Pakistan where Rule of law, across-the-board accountability, and justice are the order of the day.

The establishment of a prosperous state in line with Islamic principles and ideology of our great leaders like Allama Iqbal and Quaid e Azam can be achieved only if we work hard consistently as a nation, the PM stated.

PM said that the government has made all-out efforts for progress in various sectors like agriculture, industry, technology, and automation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan To Visit Quetta Tomorrow: Sources

As per the sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Quetta tomorrow (Tuesday).

The sources said that PM Khan will preside over an important meeting in Quetta and will be briefed on the political and security situation in the province.

It should be mentioned here that the Cabinet meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow will not be held due to Prime Minister’s visit to Quetta.

Earlier today, the second meeting of the Board of Governors of the Special Technology Zones Authority was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which he was also briefed on the progress regarding the establishment of the Islamabad Special Technology Zone.

The meeting also discussed the need to make the authority a dynamic entity, especially in the field of technology transfer, research and development, increase in foreign investment, and job creation for the youth.

The meeting approved the STZ Rules 2021 and made progress in creating a dynamic and active institution to increase the country’s exports in the IT sector.

It was informed in the briefing that well-known IT companies like Huawei, Samsung, etc. are showing special interest and commitment for investment in this zone.

Presiding over the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the progress made by the authority. Imran Khan said that the promotion of technology in the country is one of the top priorities of the present government and the establishment of the Islamabad Special Technology Zone should be completed as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that the government would provide all possible facilities to investors for profitable business activities.

Educational Institutions To Reopen In Quetta From Tomorrow

It has been decided on Sunday to open all colleges and technical educational institutions in Quetta from tomorrow (Monday).

A notification has been issued which states that colleges and educational institutions will be opened under Corona SOPs.

Punjab’s Education Minister, Murad Raas has announced on Sunday that schools for only class 9th and 10th will be reopening from tomorrow (Monday).

The education minister via Twitter announced that,

“Only Classes 10th & 12th to be opened in all Districts of Punjab starting tomorrow May 31st, 2021.”

He went on to write,

“It will be staggered with 50% students on one day and 50% on the alternate day. No other classes to be allowed till June 7th, 2021. Follow SOPs.”

Earlier today, the KP government has decided to open educational institutions in 5 more districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following a decrease in cases of coronavirus.

According to the education department, educational institutions in Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Bannu and Haripur will be opened from May 31.

Educational institutions in 21 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Institutions have been opened.
