Railways to run 22 trains under Public Private Partnership

Railways announces 20% discount in train fares on Eid ul Fitr

LAHORE: In order to provide best facilities to its passengers, Pakistan Railways has decided to run 22 trains under Public Private Partnership (PPP).

In the meeting chaired by Chief Executive Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch, it was decided to run the trains under public-private partnership to provide better facilities to the passengers and stabilize the railway revenue.

According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Railways, Karakoram, Karachi, Awam Express, Green Line, Maher, Chenab, Saman Sarkar and Mohenjo Daro passenger trains will be operated under Public Private Partnership.

Similarly,  Pak Business, Bolan Mail, Thal, Sukkur Express, Marvi, Chaman and Hazara Express will also run through private partnership.

The spokesperson said Shalimar, Bahauddin Zakaria, Kohat, Mehran, Attock, Jand and Rawalpindi passenger trains will also be run under public private partnership.

Chief Executive Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch said that the railway wants to provide the best facilities to its passengers, that is why it has been decided to run the trains through public-private partnership.

ATC grants bail to PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan

SARGODHA: Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) Sargodha approved the bail of Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan.

The court approved the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI0 leader Omar Ayub till July 15 in the case of terrorism.

Speaking to the media after appearing in the court, Omar Ayub said on this occasion that an operation against terrorism is already underway in the country based on intelligence information, there is no need for a new operation and the opinion of the people should also be given importance.

Omar Ayub said that the government should hold elections again so that the people’s government comes to power and PTI worker should be released.

The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly  strongly condemned transfer of Co-Chairman PTI  Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Lahore.

It should be remembered that the anti-terrorism court of Sargodha had issued the arrest warrant of Omar Ayub yesterday.
